Lovely ... Is Shyam a negative character?
The lights got dimmed completely and as per requested by Arnav, there played a calm, soothing and romantic tune in the background but the tune could do nothing and failed to calm and sooth the pain Khushi's heart.
Her heart was beating abnormally fast and she was going restless as well as she seemed more frightened now and that didn't go unnoticed by Dhruv who smirked inwardly.
That. was. fun. for him.
Khushi hesitantly rested her dainty hands on his shoulders as he pulled her closer. That odour of Alcohol was the worst and she suffocated in his arms.
His hands rested on the either side of her waist while he chinned up with triumph. Khushi dropped her head down and just tried to sway according to the rhythm of the music.
Anjali clapped excitedly and tightened her hold on Shyam's arms.
"Aww. Don't they look adorable together?" Anjali smiled dreamily at Dhruv and Khushi.
Shyam stared at them for some time and then gave a faint smile to Anjali, nodding his head.
"You are just like your name Khushi" Dhruv murmured and Khushi looked up at him, narrowing her gaze confusedly, trying to know the meaning of what he just said.
"Happiness. Isn't? Your name means Happiness. You do spread happiness just like you are doing now. You are really making me happy. I wish i had a mirror. You must see your face"
"So scared, so naive, so helpless" he whispered in a dangerously low tone.
Khushi just stared at him with an extremely incredulous look. How can someone be so ruthless? So unfeeling?
"Just remain like this. It really excites me as well as makes me happy." he chuckled and Khushi looked away, gulping.
"Just look. How they are talking in hushed tones? Isn't romantic?" Anjali chirped again and Shyam sighed now ignoring what she said.
"Arnaaavv" Arnav turned around and found Lavanya rushing towards him.
"Arnav. Arnav lets go and dance" she held his hand and pleaded like a kid.
"Whaa...No No. I am not going to dance. The floor and the music is only for Bhai and Bhabhi" Arnav spoke and turned towards DJ but was pulled back by Lavanya.
"So what? We can dance okay. It will really look romantic" Lavanya pouted.
"Excuse me" Arnav cocked an eyebrow folding his arms across his chest.
"Just Shut up and come with me" She caught his wrist and before he could protest more, she dragged him to the dance floor.
Arnav sighed and gave a "You are insane" look to Lavanya who smiled cheekily and moved closer to Arnav, winding her arms around his neck while Arnav just simply wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Ye Chote bhi na, kitna unromantic hai. Just look at him. Poor Lavanya. Hey Devimaiyya, Do something with Chote's pea-sized brain" Anjali muttered angrily and Shyam chuckled looking at him as Lavanya scolded Arnav for not holding her tight enough.
"Don't worry Rani Saheba. We can show a romantic demo to your Chote. I am sure, it will help him enough" he winked and dragged a blushing Anjali to the dance floor.

"Ah..." Khushi gasped the moment when Dhruv stepped on her foot and almost bruising her little toe brutally.
Khushi cried in pain and looked up at Dhruv disgustingly who in return smirked evilly at her.
"Ye to bas shuruyaat hai Khushi. It's just the beginning. A teaser. Wait for the damn party to come to an end and then i am totally ready to show you the full Picture" he spoke and Khushi controlled herself to not get week in front of him and shed her tears.
"Trust me. You are going to enjoy the picture" he suppressed a smile and Khushi looked away.
It was becoming too hard for her to handle now. How is she supposed to stop him and put a full stop to his cruelness and ruthlessness? He was a monster in each and every sense.

"May I have a dance with you?"
"Me?" Payal gaped at him and then shook her head.
"No" she blurted and Aakash's smile vanished.
"What's wrong Payal?" asked Aakash, his thumb under her chin.
"N-nothing"
"Then?. You didn't even answer my calls last night. Is everything alright at home?" he asked getting concerned.
"Everything is fine Akash" she replied looking away from him.
Aakash held her hand before staring at her for some time. Something was surely wrong with her.
"What are you doing?" she asked in a hushed tone and writhed.
"Dance?"
"No. What if someone catches us? she looked around the huge and beautifully decorated Hallway of Raizada Mansion.
"I don't care" he gritted and then dragged her to the dance floor.
"Aren't Arnav and my baby looking the sweetest couple on the floor?" Deviyani smiled and nodded at Rekha.
"Indeed they are.."
Rekha smiled dreamily, pressing her knuckle bones on her forehead warding off any evil eye from them.
And that's when her eyes caught Aakash and Payal too dancing. She smirked and spoke up.
"Uh-oh. Aakash with Payal. Isn't it weird?"
Manorma twisted her lips and tried to ignore her comment. Aakash is surely going to bring disgrace to her someday being with that skinny girl.

Khushi looked down at her bruised toe which had turned a shade of bluish now. It was even useless to cry because neither of them would show any mercy upon her; Dhruv and Devimaiyya.
"You like it? Don't worry sweetheart, after the night you will find many bluish marks on your...deli...cate skin" he drawled tracing his nail down the length of her arm.
Khushi shoved his hand away and glared at him.
"You are so inhumane. I don't believe you are Di and Arnav's brother" As the words escaped her mouth in a shaky tone, he turned rigid and flared his nose in anger.
"Behave" he gritted pulling her closer.
"The people are showering special attention on us so behave Khushi" The tone did confuse her but before her mind could process anything, she had been twirled by him jerkily and instead of coming back into his arms, she landed in Arnav's arms who quickly wrapped his arms around her waist, flashing a sweet smile.
Khushi stared at him for some time, a little breathless. Wasn't she supposed to dance with Dhruv?
She looked around...and finally heaved a sigh of relief.
Seemed the pattern of the dance changed as now everyone changed their partners and Dhruv had someone else in his arms now.
She was thankful. At least she was permitted to breath in relief for some time but she could still feel Dhruv's intense gaze on her back.
She glanced back at him and then looked away now turning completely towards Arnav but her head hung down, lost in her own world.
She was undergoing different kinds of emotions. Yes she was a little afraid thinking about the night but she was determined too at the same time. She was not going to allow him to touch her EVER.
Sigh. She was trying hard to stay strong and fear free but the damn fear was not leaving her. One shouldn't hear to the horror. It only weakens you and blooms the fear inside you but that was what exactly happening with her.
"Are you fine?" her head jerked up hearing Arnav's polite and soft voice.
"Y-yeah. Of course. I am." Khushi replied with a smile.
"Are you sure? Coz you look worried" Khushi gulped looking down.
Was she really appearing worried?
"Nothing. It's just that...I am not feeling good" she replied with a half smile.
"Really? Shall i inform Bhai?" they stopped swaying as Arnav got concerned and looked over her shoulders at Dhruv who was dancing with Lavanya.
"It's normal with me Arnav. Stop worrying and Dhruv knows" she said and Arnav nodded a little reluctantly.
Khushi smiled as they resumed swaying their bodies gently to the rhythm of the music.
"Bhabhi. Are you sure? Would you like to go and rest?" he asked again.
"Trust me i'm fine" Khushi gave him a sweet smile and he nodded.
"Uhm...You don't dance bad" Arnav muttered twirling her in his arms.
"And you don't dance bad either" Khushi quipped.
"Bhabhi. Don't mind Rajveer's words" Arnav spoke as they swayed.
"Who Rajveer?" she asked a little confused of who, he was talking about.
Arnav chuckled and shook his head.
"You don't even remember. Eh?"
Khushi raised her eyebrows.
"Rajveer. My friend..."
"Oh-kay, that black jacket one" Khushi pointed and Arnav nodded.
"I don't mi...ouch" Khushi yelped the moment when Arnav accidentally stepped on her little bruised and aching toe.
Arnav immediately moved back and looked down at her bluish marked toe curled in pain.
"I'm so sorry" Arnav murmured moving closer to her.
"It's...it's fine. I'm okay" Khushi replied, her face still showing the sign of pain.
"No. Let me check Bhabhi" Arnav spoke a little adamantly as he stooped down to check her foot but Khushi held his arm and pulled him up before looking around at everyone.
"Don't worry Arnav. I am fine" Khushi spoke.
"But still.."
"Ar-naav. Stop worrying. I'm perfectly fine" Khushi flashed a grin now subsiding her pain.
"I am really s.."
"And stop apologizing" she butted in and Arnav opened and closed his mouth with a sigh giving up as Khushi sternly looked at him.
"It was my mistake and the word 'sorry' doesn't suit you because you're so kind"
"Unlike your brother" Khushi muttered under her breath.
"I think i can say this after spending the 48 hours of my life here" she added and Arnav laughed out loud while Khushi smiled.
"Great. I am proud of myself" he spoke lifting his imaginary collars.
Dhruv stared at both; Arnav and Khushi as they laughed at something pulling his trigger and letting him burn in his anger.
Arnav twirled Khushi again and now she was back in Dhruv's arms whose nails dug in Khushi's arms.
It did pain her but it was wise to bear that pain with patience because Dhruv seemed a different case now.
Khushi glared back at Dhruv.
"Bohat hasi aarahi thi. Isn't? I bet your laughter will turn into muffled cries tonight" he gritted and Khushi's eyes went wide, he smirked and pushed her away jerkily.
"Thank God, i am back to you. I am telling you Arnav, Dhruv Bhai is so scary. I did a step wrong and he looked at me with those dark and dangerous eyes. I was scared. Thank God Thank God" Lavanya muttered to Arnav, her head shaking while Arnav chuckled twirling her again and then throwing her in Aakash's arms.

Khushi looked at herself in the mirror, taking off her earrings slowly. Her heart beating rapidly sending shivers down her spine.
She looked at the round classy clock hung on the wall and closed her eyes and shook her head. He must be here by anytime.
Khushi gulped, the fear wasn't leaving her. It wasn't that she was scared of Dhruv.
Obviously she wasn't.
But the fear of failing in protecting herself tonight from him was eating her from inside.
And just when she thought to go and lock herself in the Bathroom, the door opened and locked as Dhruv entered inside shrugging the coat off his body angrily.
His gaze landed on her and all his anger vanished as he smirked and now began to move towards her with slow steps.
Khushi watched him as his eyes wandered over her body lazily making her feel extremely uncomfortable and unconscious of herself.
She fiddled with her fingers and gulped again as he now stood behind her, looking at her through the mirror.
He smiled and brought his hand front, caressing her chin.
"Aren't we the ideal couple?" he whispered in her ear and Khushi fisted the material of her saree, crumpling it.
"Well, i wish you a not a very happy belated Suhaagraat Wife" he chuckled and then roughly turned her around, pushing her to the dressing table.
"Everyone has retired to their rooms. It's going to be fun" he muttered and Khushi stared at him, her palms resting on the table behind giving her some support.
He leaned in to kiss her while she leaned back, turning her head away, her lips quivering. He clenched his jaw and grasping a bunch of her hair angrily, he made her look at him.
"Don't.look.away" he gritted and Khushi hissed in pain, he was causing her.
Khushi turned teary eyed as he leaned down again to kiss her, and not able to control more, she pushed him back with a power-packed anger.
"Stop it" she yelled and he cocked an eyebrow.
"Just. Stop. It. Dhruv. I have already told you my words. Nothing is going to happen between us" she yelled and turned around to leave quickly but was pulled back by Dhruv angrily.
Her both hands twisted behind her back while she writhed and struggled in his arms as he pulled her closer.
"Hadn't i warned you about this night before Khushi. Hadn't i?" he gritted but Khushi kept struggling.
"Leave me." Khushi whispered, her voice now going shaky and her eyes turning moist. He was giving a physical pain as well as mental.
"Huhn..Do i look like a saint to you?" he smirked and held her tightly.
"Uss thappad ka jawaab tumhe dena hai mujhe Khushi. Punishment to milegi mujhe insult karne ki. You have messed with me. Ab bhukto bhi"
Khushi now looked up at him.
"No i am not Khushi. You can call me a devil if you wish" he added and angled her face for a better access.
"Dhruv, i'm warning you. Stay...stay away from me and leave me right this instant...otherwise.." she stopped, her voice breaking in the middle.
She was afraid but determined. She cannot let a beast touch her EVER.
"Otherwise? Otherwise what?" he asked, bunching her hair again and shaking her lightly.
Khushi kept quiet, gathering some courage, and inhaling deep breaths.
She just can not let him.
No.
NO.
A BIG NO.
And tada...
*Thapaaak*
The sound of the loud slap resonated in the whole room. Khushi gulped again and looked at her trembling hand hanging in the air.
She breathed in and out and stared at Dhruv who was very much shocked. His hand slowly grazed the side of his cheek, it did pain him. The slap was indeed painful.
His bloodshot eyes met hers and Khushi stepped a step back, and she breathed heavily.
"I-i...i warned you and.." but before she could complete she was slapped hard on her right cheek by Dhruv.
Khushi gasped as the force with the hand hit her, she wasn't able to balance herself and she fell down, her knuckle bones on the verge of a fracture as it hit hard the floor.
And the threatening tears were finally happily rolling down her cheeks with no promise of an end. Her hair covered her face while she sniffed, looking down at the floor. Her thumb went up and brushed near her lips. It was bleeding.
Dhruv's flaring nose was similar to the burning onions in a fry pan. He stooped down and pulling a fist of Khushi's hair, he raised her a little up.
"Ye hai tumhaare dusre thappad ka jawaab, Khushi Kumari Gupta" he gritted and Khushi wept staring at his disgusting face.
His face only reflected hatred, evilness and cruelty. He had everything a beast has.
He yanked her up and then dumped her on the bed. Khushi raised herself and watched him as he took off his waistcoat and threw it aside in the room.
Khushi sniffed again and got up slowly wiping her tears.
What should i do now?
Think Khushi Think.
Khushi looked around frantically and her gaze fell on the locked door. She looked back at Dhruv who was now about to unbutton his shirt.
The only way of escape right now was to run away. Her dignity was the most precious thing for her that moment and submitting herself to a man like him...no a beast was absolutely not acceptable.
And she did what she felt right that moment.
She made a run towards the door, unlocking it and got out of the room. Dhruv turned around curling his fingers into a ball.
"Khushi" he yelled and followed her out.
Khushi breathed heavily, she could hear his footsteps behind her. The pallu of her saree trailed behind her and her hair flew in every direction as she ran hurriedly and then just as she felt herself about to fall down, she collided with the hard chest.
"Bhabhi?"
