And we are getting back on track after a rough ride...at least, a rough ride it has been for me. I have several isues with the way the last few twists were written🥱...even though the twists as such were expected.
1. Aahil visits Lord Confuscious. Ends up confusing me too, as to the validity of his confusion...any way, he gets back on track before he is fused out. I felt Aahil's dilemma should have ben portrayed more in depth with apt fbs of his past insults to Sanam, his fbs of his dad's murder etc. The inner conflict had to be brought out with more passion.
2. Dilshad's journey on the wheelchair😡...Every time I see that wheel chair, I am reminded of Rashid's Ammi and it is a pity Dilshad has been abandoned to the same rank of uselessness. But I must admit I loved the finale they were building up to...the tracks meeting at a grand hotel opening...(Where did they get those dancers from?🤔) ..Bollywood feels of 1980s...could have been much worse.
3. Rehaan and Sunehri deserved some moe monologues...that was a sudden switch over from Rehaan's Sunehri to the world's Sunehri.
4. Raahat - Haya: Definitely where the cards started crashing for me...and when one by one the cards started tumbling...it became depressing to watch.
Now, we are at the crossroads ...at the brink of a major twist.
A. Aahil: From a man who shunned any semblance of normality, he has come a long way...through accepting Sanam, getting her to accept him...and now he has tided over that crisis of being unworthy of Sanam. He still believes he is guilty of a crime he was brainwashed into believing...but two things make him realise he can still have Sanam.
1. The Baba told him to leave his past behind...he knows it is time to let go.
2. His own assessment of Sanam...She has never let him down...has seen him at his worst...he knows it is time to embrace love with no more doubts.
B. Sanam: It is painful that Aahil rejects her...she can almost sense why he does so... But what is important right now is not HER dreams, or THEIR future together...it is all about HIM, right now. Sanam knows she has the key to Aahil's broken past...she is eager to start the healing. But she knows how attached he is to the woman who has played him all along...her mind is in a turmoil as she contemplates on how best to convince him...how to break that bond of trust with one blow...Is it possible, she wonders.
C. Rehaan: He needs to get away ...from everyone.
From Sunehri, for obvious reasons- she shattered his trust.
From Begum Sahiba.,who has betrayed him over and over...she has always chosen money over him...
From Aahil bhai, the tragedy of the man being betrayed bites him...he may not be a brother to him any more...but the pride and trust he has in his ammi...he cannot bearto see Aahil's agony when if some day the truth were to be told him.
And finally from Sanam...He is ashamed of the feelings he once harboured for her. He still respects her a lot...therefore, he would rather their relationship remained clutter free...le them at least remain friends, even if he were not meet her again...
D. Sunehri: Her senses have been heightened...from the accident site where she felt some connection she needed to know about...and at the hotel, Rehaan has taken over her mind again. She tries hard to focus on her job...not let her be seen... but she wanders as her mind does.
LOOKING FORWARD:
1. This whole big bash has been planned as the backdrop of the Switch'...though there is always the tease of a revelation. (I WONDER IF ZEE IS PROMOTING THIS...IF NOT, I HOPE QH ENDS IN A MONTH OR TWO...ZEE DOES NOT DESERVE THIS SHOW EVEN AT ITS NOT SO BEST FORM! And anyway, the show has to end on a planned note...rather than die a painful natural death..)
There was a precap some day of Tanveer with the knife...I suppose Raziya will be standing with a danda behind, to strike them both down and execute the Switch...
If so...
2. Sunehri as Sanam is going to interfere in two love stories.
One is Aahil's...He will wonder how best to tackle this crude version of Sanam that openly disrespects his Ammi...he cannot let go of Sanam at any cost. (Should be interesting)
Second is Sunehri's love story...If only Rehaan would come back at some pretext and confess to Sanam...and ask for her pardon...how brokenhearted Sunehri would be knowing Rehaan was looking for Sanam in her...(I am more excited for this.)
3. Raahat- Haya: Much as I hate to discuss this couple, I must say that Surbhi Chandna is a delight to watch👏...she probably still connects me to the character. After that small spark of intimacy. Raahat continues to blame himself (which he should)...realises he is being SELFISH...in his love for his brother...while Haya glows...in the sweetness of love. This is one couple that is totally unpredictable. Every new interaction brings a new possibility...hard to get what the writer wants to convey...As of now, I wonder if Haya will get to know the plan before the nikah and rejects him outright...
I hope so...😳
