CHAPTER 3. AND THE BACHELORS MEET THE GIRL!
"Aakash! Tumne aaj ki meeting ki presentation tayyaar karli?", Arnav asked as he speared his fork into the piece of omelet and took a bite. It was the morning after the Page 3 party and Arnav was seated at the head of the dining table in the dining room having breakfast.
"Haan bhai! Everything is done! You need not worry.", Aakash muttered as he took a swig from his glass of Orange juice. He was seated on the left of his brother on the longer side of the table.
Arnav nodded, "Aur woh models? Have they been finalized for the photo shoot?", Arnav asked as he speared another piece of omelet.
"Haan bhai! Woh list kal tak ready ho jaayega!", Aakash spoke as he took a bite from the sandwich in front of him.
"BAS!", came a shout and both brothers looked towards their older sister Anjali who was seated on the right of Arnav but right across Aakash.
She glared at both the boys, "Bas hogayi yeh Office ki baatein! Hum yahaan breakfast kar rahe hain aur tum log Office ki baat lekar baith gaye! Ek toh pehle hi tum dono Office mein poora din ghuse pade rehte ho. Subah jaldi nikalte ho, raat ko der raat ghar aate ho, ghar aane ke baad bhi kaam ki baat hi karte ho, Study mein ghanto ghusse rehte ho, Office mein hi khaate ho, peete ho, sote ho, this is getting ridiculous boys! Kam se kam khaane ke table ko toh chod do!", she nearly shouted at the end of her tirade.
Arnav calmly placed his fork and knife on the table, turned towards Aakash and spoke, "Please remind me Aakash, why are we entertaining Di in our home here?"
Anjali frowned at Arnav's words.
Aakash looked at Anjali sheepishly, "She is here because her husband is out of town and as we are her brothers, she is hanging around here till Shyam Jeej is back!"
Now Anjali shifted her frown towards Aakash.
"Achcha?", Arnav muttered as he looked at Aakash pensively, "Toh humaare saath hi kyun? Yeh Naani ke saath farmhouse mein kyun nahi rehne gayi? Waise bhi Maama Maami Australia gaye Maami ke behen ko milne, toh Naani wahaan akeli hai! Why is she nagging our head off?"
Anjali huffed at their attitude, "Tum dono ka kuch nahi ho sakta! Ab humein samajh aaya ki Naaniji humaare Shantivan ko chodke sheher ke baahar humaare Vacation Farmhouse mein kyun shift hui; tum dono se door jaane ke liye!"
Aakash smiled at his Di, "Di! Aap raaee ka pahaad bana rahi hain! Aap bhool rahi hai ki Daadiji, Mom aur Dad isliye shift hue kyunki woh sheher ki shorgul se pareshaan hogaye the aur shaanti ke liye sheher ke baahar shift hogaye! Kahaan se kahaan baat ko le jaati ho Di!"
Arnav finally looked at Anjali, "Di! Truthfully tell me! Why are you here when you could have spent your time with Naani?"
Anjali shrugged as she shredded the paper napkin kept in front of her, "Kya karein Chote! Iss ghar ko bahu ki jaroorat hai, koi aurat jo sab cheez ka khayaal rakhe aur tum dono ko patni ki jaroorat hai jo tumhaara khayaal rakhe, tumhein khaana khilaaye aur ghar aate hi tumhein tumhaare kaam se door le jaaye! Aur jab tak yeh nahi hota tab tak hum yeh saare farz nibhaaungi! Samjhe?"
Arnav and Aakash looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Both thinking of same thing; Patni? And me? Ya right!
Before Arnav could explain exactly what he thought of her idea of staying here till they got a wife, the doorbell rang. Anjali sprung up from her seat eagerly, "Darwaaze pe koi hai!" Then she lessened her excitement and looked at both the boys with haughtiness, "Jab tak tum dono ki biwiyaan nahi aati, darwaaza kholne ka kaam toh humein hi karna padega!" Feigning dislike at doing the chores of the hostess, she limped off. Both boys waited till she was out of the room before they started chuckling.
As Anjali moved towards the main door, one of the servants had already reached the door and opened it. Anjali had to stop walking momentarily in surprise once she got a good look at their guest standing at the door. It was a simple girl dressed in a very loud and colorful chudidaar with a jhola bag across her body. She entered the house with her eyes widened at the grandness of the house as if she never seen the interior of such a house. And looking at her dress, Anjali was sure that the girl hadn't. Anjali noticed a sense of excitement on her face and wondered who she was. The girl had yet to notice Anjali when she got stopped by the servant.
The Servant opened his mouth, "Madam! Aap aise andar nahi ghus sakti!", he stopped the girl by stepping in front of her.
The girl looked at him with confusion, "Arre! Insaan ghar ke andar nahi aayega toh kya darwaaza pe khada rahega? Hato! Humein Arnav Singh Raizada se milna hai!"
She took few steps before the servant reached her and stood in front of her, "Madam! Aap aise andar nahi jaa sakti! Aap apna naam toh bataayiye!"
Khushi huffed in annoyance, "Arre! Hum aapko kyun apna naam bataaun? Aap kaun hote hain humaara naam poochne waale?"
Before they could continue arguing, Anjali stepped in.
"Suno!", she addressed the servant, "Tum jaao! Hum dekhte hain!"
The servant walked off and Anjali turned to Khushi, "Humaara naam Anjali hai, Mrs. Anjali Shyam Jha aur hum iss ghar ki beti hain!" She raised her hand and the girl shook hands with her. The girl's whole demeanor changed from annoyance to cheerfulness in minutes and her smile was so wide that even Anjali could not resist from smiling back.
"So tell me how may I help you?", Anjali asked as she gestured the girl to sit on one of the couches spread around in main hall of the house and took the seat right in front of her. The girl fidgeted nervously and pulled out a piece of paper from her purse. After glancing at it, the girl lost all her inhibitions and burst out with boldness, "Humein Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada se milna hai! Woh ghar pe hai?"
Anjali nodded, "Tum sahi samay pe aayi ho, woh abhi bhi ghar pe hi hai, aaj woh Office late jaayenge! Waise kaam kya tha?"
The girl smiled sheepishly, "Thoda... Bas kaam tha!"
Anjali rolled her eyes. Of course kaam tha! When are her brothers not working? She smiled at the girl, "Tum yahi ruko. I will get my brother!"
The girl nodded and smiled back.
Anjali walked away to the dining room to get her brothers only to see the dining room empty. She questioned the servant cleaning the plates about her brothers and he replied that they had already shifted to the study. Anjali rolled her eyes again. Of course, they are cooped up in the study. Where else would they be? She walked off to search for them while muttering about idiot brothers who love work more than their life.
"Chote! Akki!", Anjali came shouting into the study where Arnav was explaining the details of his upcoming fashion show to Aakash while standing near a whiteboard which was littered with sketches and drawings scribbled by Arnav. Aakash was seated in front of him in an armchair looking at the board and nodding his head wherever needed while twirling a pen in his hand.
Arnav looked at her in annoyance for interrupting him but Anjali ignored his expression and started speaking, "Tumse milne koi ladki aayi hai!"
"Ladki?", Aakash raised an eyebrow and looked at Arnav curiously.
Arnav frowned for a moment but then his expression cleared and he replied, "Ladki? Haan! Shaayad personal assistant ke post ke liye aayi hogi! Main ghar pe hoon toh Office waalon ne use ghar bhej diya hoga! Yeh Office waale bhi na!" He looked at Aakash and shook his head, "Just because I said I want a PA urgently, they sent her here!", he looked back at Anjali, "Fine! Send her in!"
Anjali scurried away and Aakash looked at Arnav in confusion, "PA? Bhai! Why are you hiring a PA?"
Arnav shrugged and looked back at the whiteboard, "I am fed up of reading ridiculous unwanted mails and getting useless phone calls. Aadhe phone calls toh koi na koi Page 3 party ke invitations hote hain and don't get me started about mails. Har festival pe ek greeting card aata hai, koi mail se toh koi email se. And sometimes people even send me card for days like Health Day and World Sight Day. Now it will be rude of me to not to reply so half of my days are spent in replying them. And do you know what the worst thing is? India has days and festivals like these every other day." Arnav sounded exasperated at the end and he sighed loudly.
"The PA will be able to screen such mails, emails and phone calls and pass on only the important ones. And she can reply all those greetings and emails as much as colorfully as she wants. And she can fill my daily schedule in such a way that I won't have to go another Page 3 parties like yesterday. Aur Naani ke calls bhi wahi handle karegi aur mere phone na pick up karne ke liye excuses bhi Naani ko wahi degi."
Aakash chuckled at his cousin's reasons for hiring a PA.
Before Aakash could comment on his brother's reasons, Anjali entered the room with a girl. Aakash straightened up in his seat once he got a good look of the girl. She was the waitress; the waitress that his brother had so annoyingly insulted yesterday night. Is she here for the post of PA? Oh dear! Bhai toh ise chodenge nahi! Aakash felt pity for the poor girl and looked at his brother who had his back turned to them staring at the whiteboard.
The girl opened her mouth and chirped happily, "Gud maarning! Namaste! Humein na aapse ek bahut jaroori baat karni hai..." when Arnav turned around and burst out, "YOU?" He looked at her in horror.
The girl just smiled happily, "Haan! Hum! Aapne humein pehchaana?"
Arnav rolled his eyes, "Tumhein iss post ke liye mere Office waalon ne bheja hai? It seems I will have fire those idiots if they think you are right for this post. Di! Send her back!"
The girl frowned and folded her arms against her chest, "Dekhiye ji! Kal aapne humein itna insult kiya, humne kuch nahi kahaa kyunki hum wahaan kaam kar rahe the aur aap mere guest the! Lekin aaj hum badtameezi nahi sahenge! Ek toh hum aapse business ki baat karne aaye hain aur aap ho ki humaari beizzati kar rahe ho!"
Arnav looked at her amused, "You? And business? Ya right!"
Arnav looked away from her and out of the window nearby.
The girl's jaw dropped open at his attitude, "Suniye Mister! Sheher ki ladki nahi hain toh humein kam mat samjhiyega! Aap paise waale hogaye toh aap koi mahaan insaan nahi ban gaye! Apne se kam paise waalon ko apni paaon ki jooti samajhna ban keejiye aur izzat se baat keejiye!"
"Fine!", Arnav spat out as he sat on an armchair nearby and looked at her with utter concentration, "So! Tell me your business plan!"
Anjali by now was beyond shocked and looked at the scene in front of her with surrealism while Aakash looked on with a growing surprise.
The girl opened her mouth and then shut it again. Now that she had the chance to present her thoughts, her confidence went away and she looked around nervously.
Arnav smirked predatorily, "Exactly! You have no plan! You are just here to annoy me! Di! Get her out before I throw her out of the window myself!"
The girl's jaw dropped open at his words. She let out a shriek and started shouting, "Hey Devi Maiyya! Kaise insaan ho aap? Ladki ko uthaake khidki se baahar phenke ki baat karte ho!"
Even Anjali was outraged, "Chote! This is not a way to talk to a girl! Please show her some respect!"
Arnav smiled at Anjali sarcastically, "Then tell her to act like a girl! Bhopu jaise gala phaadna band kare!"
The girl's jaw dropped open again, "Haw! Dekha dekha! Abhi bhi kitni badtameezi se baat kar rahe hain!"
Arnav marched over to the girl and towered over her, "Mera ghar, meri marzi! Main kaise bhi baat karun! Who are you to stop me?"
The girl opened her mouth to retort when Aakash intervened, "That is enough ladies and gentlemen! Kuch jhagda next meeting ke liye bhi chod do!"
Arnav turned around and stormed off towards the window. He leaned on the window sill and looked out. The girl fumbled with her duppatta while Anjali looked confused and unsure on what to do.
Aakash finally got up from his seat and walked over to the girl. He looked at the fidgeting girl with a smile on his face and spoke with gentleness in his tone, "Miss! Kya tum bata sakti ho ki tum yahaan aayi kyun ho? Aur hum tumhaari kya madat kar sakte hai?"
The girl looked at him wide eyed. After getting rude responses from the elder cousin, the politeness from the younger cousin shocked her. She bit her lip and spoke in a soft and polite voice, "Humein toh bas Event Manager ki naukri chaahiye! Lekin humaari kharaab angrezi ki wajah se koi humein woh post nahi deta! Agar yeh Mister humaari thodi bahut madat karde aur humein Angrezi sikha dein toh hum aap sabke bahut shukr guzaar rahenge!"
"Ya right!", Arnav muttered from over the window.
The girl looked at Arnav in indignation. She marched over to him and grabbing his shirt sleeve she made him turn around. Such was the force of the girl's hand that a shocked Arnav turned around right away.
She glared at him with righteous anger and shouted, "Kal toh bade daave kar rahe the ki aap humein thodi training se badal sakte ho!"
She turned towards Aakash and pointing her finger at Arnav she spat, "Toh aap inse poochiye ki kal sirf badi badi baatein kar rahe the ya humein train karne ki himmat bhi hai? Hum koi favor nahi maang rahe! Hum paise dene ko bhi taiyyar hoon! Phir bhi yeh humse aise bartaav kar rahe hain jaise hum koi road pe pada hua kachra hain!"
She turned back to Arnav, "Humein pata hai aise training ko paise lagte hain! Aur hum paise dene ko tayyaar hain!"
Arnav looked at her with amusement, "Oh really? Aur kitne paise tum mujhe dogi?"
The girl looked at him haughtily and continued to speak in loud voice, "Poore paanch hazaar! Samjhe? Koi kam paisa nahi hai! Humaari salary ka aadha hai! Hum aapko 5000 har mahine ke denge! Samjhe?"
Anjali inched over to Aakash and whispered to him, "Kya ise pata hai hum itne rich hain ki 5000 hum ek din mein kharcha karte hain?"
Aakash shook his head, "I don't think so!"
Arnav shook his head, tired of all this shouting and glared at her, "Baith jaao! Aur mere kaan mein chilaana band karo!"
The girl sniffed in annoyance, "Humne kahaa na humse itni badtameezi se baat mat keejiye!"
Arnav looked up in annoyance and then roared at the girl, "Baitho!"
The girl stumbled back at the intensity of his anger and looked at him with fear. She gripped her bag against her chest tightly using it like a shield. Anjali stepped forward and smiled at the girl, "Baith jaao na!" The girl smiled hesitantly at her and then gulped under Arnav's glare.
Aakash decided it was time to intervene, "Suno!"
The girl snapped her head towards him still looking a bit scared.
Aakash smiled to ease her, "Pehle humein yeh bataao ki tumhaara naam kya hai!"
The girl smiled softly at him, "Khushi! Khushi Kumaari Gupta!"
Aakash smiled widely at her, "Toh Miss. Gupta! Please have a seat!"
Khushi was again surprised at Aakash's politeness and respectful tone and nervously sat down in front of him with Anjali standing right behind her and Arnav standing by a nearby window.
"So you are going to pay me?", Arnav growled.
Khushi nodded haughtily.
Arnav turned around and glared at her, "Toh tum mujhe tumhein train karne liye paise dogi?"
Khushi's eyebrows rose and she blinked twice, a bit freaked out by his attitude and tone.
Arnav stalked over to her and then towered over her, "Tum Arnav Singh Raizada ko paise dogi? Tum?"
Khushi gulped and nodded fearfully.
Arnav let out his anger loose, "SAMAJHKE KYA RAKHA HAI MUJHE? KOI SADAK CHAAP TRAINER? JO LOGON KO TRAIN KARTA FIREGA?"
He turned around and started pacing while Khushi looked at him scared, "Main Arnav Singh Raizada hoon! AR Fashion House ka maalik aur CEO!"
He glared at her angrily, "Jaanti ho kitne meetings attend karta hoon main ek din mein? Kitne log mere under kaam karte hain? And you want me to be your personal coach? As if I don't have anything else to do! Bekaar samajh rakha hai kya! You know what! Why am I running a fashion house here? Jaake ek coaching center khol deta hoon aur tum aajaana apna 5000 leke!"
Arnav threw himself onto a chair nearby and glared around the room.
Khushi looked down sadly. She had come here with high hopes of getting better life and now all her hopes and dreams were en route to turning into ashes. She felt tears well up in her eyes and before she knew it, she started sniffing and crying.
Arnav rolled his eyes at her tears, "Oh! Shut up! And stop crying like someone is dead!"
This only made Khushi cry more.
Aakash rolled his eyes while Anjali sighed and patted Khushi's shoulder. She glared at her brother, "Chote! Please talk to her normally. You don't have to be this rude to the poor girl."
Khushi wiped her face with her duppatta and Arnav rolling his eyes handed her his kerchief.
Khushi looked at the kerchief distastefully, "Ab yeh kiske liye?"
Arnav replied sarcastically, "Tumhaari aankhen pochne ke liye. Yaad rakho. Rumaal se aankh pocha jaata hai duppatte se nahi! Dono mein confuse mat ho jaana."
Khushi huffed, "Humein pata hai dono mein farak. Itni bhi bewakoof nahi hain."
But she wiped her face using his kerchief.
Aakash was thoughtful as he leaned back on his chair and stared at the people in front of him, "Bhai! Mujhe Khushi ki baatein badi dilchasp lag rahi hai!"
Arnav gave him a sarcastic look as if saying Oh really?'
Aakash ignored his look and continued, "Aap hi the na jo kal daave kar rahe the ki aap iski kaaya palat sakte ho! You can even change her to such an extent that everyone will believe you blindly when you say she is a princess of some made up Rajasthani city! Kya hogaya us daave ka?"
Anjali, Khushi and Arnav all stared at Aakash in silence wondering where he was leading this conversation to.
Aakash smiled at his brother, "Bhai! Main kehta hoon ki aap India ke sabse smartest insaan honge agar aap utne saare socialites, jo gidd ki nazar se har insaan ko observe karte hain, unko ullu bana do toh! Infact, main toh aapse shart bhi lagaane ko tayyaar hoon! Kuch mahine mein ek international conference hain, desh videsh ke top bosses wahaan honge, India ke sabse jaane maane socialites bhi honge, aur various consulate and embassy ke members bhi honge! Aap tab tak ise train keejiye aur wahaan le jaayiye! Aur kisi old city ki Raajkumari ke naam se introduce kijiye! Agar kisiko shaq nahi hua toh aap jeete, aur shaq hua toh main jeeta! Khushi ke saare training ke kharche main pay karunga! Saare expenses mere pocket se jaayenge! How is this bet bhai?"
Before Arnav could reply, Khushi piped in, "Hey Devi Maiyya! Aap humaari training karwaayenge? Arre waah! Aap toh bade achche insaan lagte ho! Aapke bhai se toh bahut behtar!"
Arnav ignored Khushi's words as he smirked at his brother, "Challenge? Aur Arnav Singh Raizada ko?"
Aakash nodded.
Arnav looked at Khushi from top to bottom. He looked at Aakash and spoke while pointing at Khushi, "Is ladki ko, jisko na dhang ki English aati hai aur na proper rehen sehen ka tareeqa!"
Khushi pouted at his words, "Itne bure bhi nahi hain hum!"
Aakash nodded and Arnav thought for few seconds. Wanting Arnav to take the bet, Aakash decided to push him in the direction, "Kya baat hai Bhai? Darr gaye?"
Arnav's eyes flared up in anger, "Arnav Singh Raizada kisi se nahi darta!"
He then smiled smugly at Aakash, "Main tumhaari shart manzoor karta hoon! I will take the bet! Main is ladki ko normal ladki se princess bana doonga! Aur aaj se abhi se iski training start! Di! Ise le jaao aur humaare kisi guest room mein thehra do! Ise beauty parlour le jaao aur facial, manicure, pedicure aur jo saari cheezein aap khud karti hain, iska bhi karwaao! Aapke favorite boutiques se iske liye kuch fashionable kapde khareedo. And call the tailor home! No one needs to see her before we reveal her. And take the money from Aakash for it."
Matter solved, Arnav pulled out the newspaper and started to read it. Aakash pulled out his mobile and started playing with it.
Anjali frowned as she took in all what all had happened in last few minutes. In a matter of seconds, Arnav had gone from shouting at Khushi to training Khushi. And Aakash actually egged him on. What is happening here? Even Khushi looked bewildered at the sudden change in situations.
Noticing Khushi's confusion and scared expression, Anjali decided to take charge and talk on behalf of the girl.
Anjali glared at her two brothers, "Enough! Enough of this madness! Aur yeh kaise shart laga rakhi hai? Aise kisi ladki ko kahoge ki yahaan shift ho jaaye, jaise raaste se koi patthar uthaake ghar laaye ho!
Arnav looked at Anjali in confusion as he looked at her from behind the paper, "Kyun nahi?"
Anjali growled loudly, "Hey Devi Ma! Hum kin bewakoofon ke palle pad gaye! Kyunki tum iske baare mein kuch jaante nahi! Uske mummy papa ka kya? Yeh toh shaadi shuda bhi ho sakti hai!"
Khushi squeaked at that moment, "Shaadi? Hey Devi Maiyya!"
Arnav rolled his eyes, "Jaise is ladki ne kahaa, Hey Devi Maiyya! It is a scary thought! She and married! Devi Maiyya hi bachaaye uss bechaare ko!"
Khushi's jaw dropped open and then she huffed and looked away.
Anjali growled again, "Bas karo yeh naatak! Khushi! Jaao! Apne ghar jaao! Apne mummy papa ke paas jaao!"
Khushi looked down sadly, "Humaara koi nahi hai!"
Aakash sighed at that, "Dekha Di, iske koi parents nahi hai! Toh koi ise miss nahi karega! Toh aapko iss bet se problem kyun hai?"
Arnav nodded, "Exactly! Kisiko iski kadar nahi hai! Kisiko isse faayda nahi hai sivaai mere! Toh aapko kya problem hai? Leke jaayiye ise naye kamre mein!"
Anjali rolled her eyes, "Lekin baad mein ka kya? Aur yahaan pe rehne ke liye kya ise paise doge?"
Arnav frowned, "Paise? Paise ka yeh kya karegi? Hum ise kapde de rahe hain, khaana de rahe hain! What is she going to do with the money? Drink Champagne?"
Khushi looked at Arnav with horror, "Hey Dev Maiyya! Hum shumpaayin nahi peete!"
Arnav scolded her, "Shumpaayin nahi sham-pain! Aur beech mein bolna band karo!"
Khushi annoyed at Arnav's attitude, complained to Aakash, "Dekhiye na Aakashji! Yeh humse kaise baat kar rahe hain!"
Even Aakash was fed up at the high handed attitude Arnav was dishing to Khushi, "Bhai! Kuch toh socho! Even she has feelings! Stop being rude bhai!"
Arnav looked at Aakash in confusion, "Feelings? What feelings?"
Khushi was fed up of this man, "Hey Devi Maiyya! Aap kaise insaan ho?"
Anjali was still trying to make sense of what is happening, "Chote aapko humein bataana hi hoga! Yeh ladki kab tak yahaan rahegi aur jab tum dono ka bet khatam hoga toh is ladki ka kya hoga? Tumhein iske future ke baare mein bhi sochna hoga!"
"Di! Are you forgetting that she is the one who came here asking for help? We are just helping her!", Arnav retorted.
Anjali just shook her head. This has gone beyond limits. Forget it. She was giving up trying to make any sense out of this madness. She took a deep breath and simply decided to go with the flow.
Arnav looked at Khushi now, "And you! Why are you still here? You should be up with Di, getting a makeover! Out! Get out!"
Khushi slapped her forehead as she looked at Arnav with a sickening look, "Aap sach mein bade hi akdu khadus insaan ho, nahi? Aapko apne sivaay koi aur dikhta nahi hai, nahi? Humaari naukri ka kya, humaare kamre ka kya? Aapne yeh sab ke baare mein toh kuch socha hi nahi!"
Arnav looked at her in surprise, "Naukri? What naukri? Oh yes! Your waitress job? It is obvious, you will have to quit. Once your training is done, you will be snapped up by companies with better job offers. So go! Quit! And as far as your room is concerned, ab waitress ke job pe ho toh khud ka ghar toh nahi hoga! Rented hoga! Talk to the owner and get the problem solved! That's all! It is so simple! Yeh sab bhi mujhe hi tumhein bataana hoga?"
Arnav shook his head and went back to his newspaper.
Khushi got up in shock, unsure of what exactly happened here. Anjali grabbed her arm with a sigh and looked at Arnav tiredly, "Chote! Atleast use tumhaara bet toh samjha do! Bechaari fully confused hai!"
Arnav took a deep breath, got up, walked towards Khushi and stood in front of her. Khushi looked at him with lost expression.
Arnav gave her a stern look, "The bet is simple. You will stay here for next few months and I will train you. Training khatam hone ke baad, we will take you to a big party where I will introduce you as Di's friend and a princess! Agar tumne sabko yakeen dilaaya ki tum koi princess ho, toh main shart jeeta. Aur tumne yakeen nahi dilaaya toh Aakash shart jeeta. Ab in sab mein tumhaara kya role hai?"
Khushi bit her lip as she listened to his words with concentration.
Arnav continued, "Tumhaara role simple hai. You will listen to me and follow my rules. Maine jo sikhaaya use tumhein shiddat se practice karna hai. Hum bet jeete ya na jeete, tum yahaan se itna kuch seekhke jaaogi, ki tumhein apne sapno ko job aaraam se mil jaayega! Samjhi?"
Khushi grinned and nodded. Arnav looked at Anjali impassively, "See! She understood! Now can you please go and get her room ready while she gets her things?"
Anjali huffed and walked away. Chote ka kuch nahi ho sakta! Devi Maiyya hi bachaaye Khushi ko!
Arnav noticed Khushi and frowned, "Ab tum yahaan khade rehke kya kar rahi ho? Jaao! Go!"
Khushi just shook her head at his attitude, turned around and walked away. Hey Devi Maiyya! Yeh sab kya hogaya? Hum toh sirf ek simple training chaahti thi taaki humein agle interview mein select kar liya jaaye! Aur yahaan toh humein ek alag hi duniya mein le jaane ki baat ho rahi hai! Aur upar se yeh bet aur Arnav Singh Raizada! Her face crumbled as she remembered Arnav's attitude towards her. Kaise insaan se paala pada hai! Hey Devi Maiyya! Humaari raksha karna! Warna hum toh paagal hi ho jaayenge!
NOTE:
Just because this chapter is so long, that does not mean all of my chapters will be so long.
This chapter was long because after the starting two small scenes, rest is one scene with no brakes!
Also, the length of this chapter is the reason it took me so much time to put this chapter up!
It took me one whole week to write it!
Thanks, take care and have fun,
Kalpana
P.S. Anjali is added to the Chracter Sketch!
