Karwa Chauth OS

Pragya had been waiting all day. It was karva chauth and she had kept the fast. She didn't have high hopes that abhi would come and open her fast.
"He's probably with tanu!" She thought

Abhi walked towards the house.
"Why has chashmish kept a fast. I don't want to see her face and yet I'm going to have to open her fast. Damn I hate these traditions." He moaned
He walked in and daadi started to moan at him.
"Why are you so late?" She asked
"Bahu has been waiting for ages." She told him that pragya was waiting in the balcony with the thaali.
Daadi was about to take abhi upstairs to make sure he did as he was told but abhi protested.
"Daadi I will open her fast but you go and sleep. You must be tired!"
"Ok, but make sure you do what I said." She said and left
Abhi walked up the stairs to see pragya in the balcony. He didn't want to look at her. He went to the washroom.

"I knew it." Thought pragya. "He wouldn't come. I don't know why I even thought he would come!" She felt tears form in her eyes.
She stared at the stars and thought why her luck was so bad.

Abhi came out of the washroom.
"She probably didn't even keep the fast" he thought "she is such a drama queen in front of daadi. She would never be able to keep a fast." He ignored her and went to sleep.

It was past midnight and pragya had finally decided to come inside the room. She hadn't realised that abhi had come in.
She was surprised to see him sleeping on the bed.
He had not opened her fast. Pragya had let her hopes up too high yet again and they had shattered.
She began to black out and fell to the floor.

The alarm went off and abhi got up. He got up and was about to walk to the washroom when he realised pragya was still asleep.
"She's still sleeping" he thought "strange? Normally she gets up so early." Abhi shrugged the thought off and went to the washroom.

Abhi had come out but was surprised to see pragya still laying on the floor.
This time abhi got worried.
He realised that pragya didn't look like she was sleeping. She was still wearing the jewellery from yesterday's function and hadn't changed. She didn't even have a blanket over her.
Abhi bent down and shook her.
"Get up pragya?" He said
Pragya didn't budge.
"Pragya?" Abhi asked
He touched her forehead and it was cold. She had been on the floor for the whole night with no blanket.
"Oh shit!" Thought abhi.
He picked her up and put her on the bed and put a blanket around her.

Abhi came out of the room and asked robin where daadi was but daadi had gone out with her cousin friends.
Abhi asked robin to get him some hot water and cloths.
Abhi went back to the room and looked at pragya. She was still cold. Robin gave him the stuff he asked for and abhi sat next to her.
Goodness knows how long he kept on changing the cloth until she finally fluttered her eyes and abhi finally felt relieved.
Pragya tried to sit up but she couldn't. She tried again but she fell back down.
Abhi noticed and carefully propped her up with a pillow and then sat next to her.
"What happened to you?" He asked
"I ... I was waiting for you to come" tears pricked her eyes as she remembered what happened last night. "You didn't come. I came inside and saw you sleeping and then I just fell to the floor."
"So you really kept the fast?" Abhi asked surprised.
"Yes" she said " what do you think?"
"Damn" thought abhi.
Abbie ran downstairs not answering pragyas question and told robin to get some food.
He came back up and began to feed her. She denied at first because he hadn't opened her fast yesterday.
"Kishmish jaisi sukhi chashmish." Abhi teased
Pragya was about to protest but abhi forcefully put the food in her mouth.
Pragya began to eat. Abhi didn't stop feeding her until the food was finished.
Once it was finished abhi called robin to come and take the plate.
Once robin had left abhi looked at pragya.
"I'm sorry" he said finally
"I should have opened your fast. It's just that I thought you wouldn't have actually kept the fast like tanu. I went round her place and I saw that she was partying at her house with all her friends. She said she would keep the fast but she didn't so I was angry and went to sleep after coming here."
Pragya didn't know what to say.
"It's okay." And with that she left. She felt sorry for abhi but she was happy that he had said sorry to her. She smiled to herself.
"She is so different. I don't what to think about her and tanu sometimes" he thought
His phone rang and it was tanu. He picked it up and told her not to phone him. He didn't want to talk to her. He was felt happy not having to talk to her. Infact he felt much better and he followed pragya downstairs.
Hope you guys liked it. Just something I thought would happen or would like to happen at karwa chauth in the show.
