Rewatching old episodes has made me realise how much CVs have compromised on Zain's character just to fit Rehan into the story.
Zain Osman Abdullah was the guy who made everyone around him laugh, and today every reason for his smile has been taken away from him.
When Zain married Aaliya, he hated her for taking away his independence. But even in his hatered, he always trusted her. When Aaliya saw Suraiya at the Bawdi during the Barkat track and told Zain, Zain did not once question her abt it! Instead, he held her hand and walked with her to the Bawdi! The same Zain was not shown to consider Aaliya's innocence even once during the Talaaq track- Why? So that they could show how Zain is cruel and Rehan is mahaan!
When Suraiya accused Aaliya of having an affair with Zubair after Bobby's exit, Zain stood up for her and told off his Mom! After Rehan's entry, a repeat of the same thing happened but this time Zain was made to watch as a mere spectator while Rehan comes forward to act as the hero and save the day for Aaliya!
Our Zain Abdullah was shown as a smart guy who knew his Mom's intentions pretty well! How can we forget the episode where ZaYa entered with ice creams in their hand and Zain knew that it was his mom who manipulated Aaliya into leaving him!
I am so saddened by how CVs have made Zain a lame duck while Rehan acts like the Hero! I certainly did not invest myself in a show for 9 months only to be let down so badly and feel so betrayed! If this is the reward u get for standing by the show when it faced the danger of going off air, I pray that no fandom ever gets such a gift from their CVs!
