Do u think that because of the less trp lat will soonly go off air. I have read article in which 7Life ok is going to introduce 6 news shows in nov

What I think abt TRPs is that Indian viewers dont appreciate an intelligent, gripping psychological thriller like LAT!

They only watch brainless saas-bahu, family dramas.

One reason maybe that Life OK is not as popular a channel as Star Plus or Zee. On Zee they even watch really crappy shows!

Another reason is LAT shows a lot of EMAs, infidelity, intimate relations between cousins which is shocking to Indian viewers, they might get put off by these factors as they are used to watching ultra sanskari characters!

I dont think they will pull off LAT yet, its a limited series so will run its due course for the amount of time stipulated in the contract.

But rarely do they show "kissing cousins" ...love affair between first cousins, which maybe kosher in some communities but a NO- No in Punjabi families and Swaikas are Punjabis!

They also rarely show a woman with grown up kids happily cheating on her husband, like Lavanya, its usually the husband cheating and the wife crying and suffering.

LAT has really bold themes! Like Gaurav's gay relations with his wife's ex BF! These themes would be really shocking for Indian viewers!

There used to be good shows like Maryada on Starplus which was pulled down due to low trps.

Even anil Kapoor's 24 hours had low trps.

Hope the trps should be banned so that we can have atleast some good shows to watch. Otherwise I may have to ban tv itself.

Yes, this whole TRP system shd be banned, its not even scientific the way they calculate trps.

Some really good, fresh idea shows on Sony like Ladies Special, Rishta.com, etc. all ended early due to low trps...because people dont watch good shows on Sony and Life OK but prefer to watch horrible Zee and SP shows.
