Katrina Kaif is riding high over the success of her film 'Bang Bang'. In an interview with India West, Katrina mentions how she has had only two flops in her career so far. The actress also mentions how her accent should not be an obstacle in her Bollywood career. Interestingly, Kat also makes clear that she first worked with Ranbir when he was pretty new in the industry.
When asked how she manages a good success rate with only four flops, Katrina said, "Four? I have had only two flops " if you are talking about Hindi films! "Boom" wasn't a Hindi film, and are you including my South Indian films? I have had only two flops!"
However, when pointed that most of her hits were with A list heroes, Katrina said, "Look, I signed "Dhoom 3" because one day, I was sitting in my car listening to a great dance-worthy song, and all I wanted to do was dance and do something different with the songs I was doing. I have done "New York" with Neil Nitin Mukesh when he had barely done one film. I was cast with Ranbir Kapoor first when he had done only "Saawariya" and was doing one more film. In "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan," Ali Fazal was new and Imran Khan had signed his second film just before it. Today, I am doing "Fitoor" because I love the script and Abhishek Kapoor's vision. They signed Aditya Roy Kapur fairly recently, and I have neither watched "Aashiqui 2" nor do I know him!"
When asked about her accent which has not changed even after many years, Kat said, "Accent is not a reason or cause for success or failure as long as you are emoting correctly. There are Spanish actresses in Hollywood who speak with such a strong accent. But they do their work well and the accent does not matter."
