Sakshi stared at the mirror... she looked at herself... is this... is this real?
Her bridal fear returned... she gently clasped and unclasped her cold hands... cracking her knuckles every now and then...
Mrs. Sakshi Arjun Rawte... she repeated to herself... her heart stiffened as this was going to be her union night... her breath quickened... she didn't know what to do... she was palpitating... she looked at the beautiful room... she paced here and there...
She was nervous... scared... people say it hurts... some say it hurts in the beginning... but then there is immense pleasure... but then... how much will it hurt?
She bit her lips in anxiety... she knew she was asking foolish questions... but then... she felt slightly queasy inside... she shuddered off the feeling... she loved him as much as the earth held on to it's gravity...
She looked around... their love would last forever... she as his wife... their children... she will turn old... he will still give his sys lessons! She laughed on that...
A 1000 thoughts ran in her head... some were funny... some created anxiety... her feet had turned cold... her hands too had turned ice cold...
She dimmed the lights... and sat on the bed... as she looked at the bed a mental image came of them doing anything but sleeping...
A shudder went up her spine as tried to think how it would be when his warm body would touch hers... she bit her lips and hugged her knees closer to her chest... trying to fight off the mental images and calm her anxious mind...
Arjun entered the room... and she looked like a pure goddess... sitting in between the bed... hugging her knees...
But he noticed her shivering... he opened first few buttons of his sherwani and sat next to her... her eyes were low... to her surprise he took her feet on his lap...
"Arjun yeh!" she muttered shocked...
He gently removed the toe rings... "Arrey itne der se pehene hue ho... lag raha hoga na..." he said and removed the rings... "Lo.. ho gaya!" he smiled...
He didn't miss the fact that her feet were cold... he mentally noted that...
"Sakshi let me help you in removing the jewelry... tumhe pata hai... bohot khubsoorat lag rahi ho..." he said and smiled at her...
She blushed... he helped in removing her bangles and she sat mute like a doll... then he helped in removing the hair pins...
"Acha Sakshi... I must say first time shadi bohot acha laga na..." he said and hugged her from behind...
"Hmm.. wait... shadi first time hoti hai..." she said... annoyed...
"Arrey nahi... soch raha hoon ki phirse kar loon you know..." Arjun said and Sakshi hit him...
"Arrey tumse hi! Tumne kya socha!" Arjun chuckled and Sakshi hit her palm...
"Tum bhi na... aah... careful... voh pin tightly attached hai na..." Sakshi said...
Arjun removed the pin... happy that she relaxed a bit under his touch... he slowly massaged her hair... "Arju.. aah..." she closed her eyes as he massaged her scalp gently... then he slowly pressed her neck... then her shoulders... his hands massaged her arms... then he softly pressed her hips... and a feminine gasp left her mouth...
His touch did another magic to her... suddenly she wanted him... wanted him to touch her... feel her... she felt... womanly...
She rested her head on his chest.. closing her eyes and relishing this moment... he kissed her forehead gently...
And before she knew it... his had slipped off her pallu... he switched off the lights... except a dim one near the bed...
She was anxious.. but... she felt... desired... cherished... a feeling that was... exhilarating... she turned around and hugged him tightly...
As their eyes locked... their eyes darkened... their hearts mingled in a similar rhythm... they remembered the first time they kissed...
It was raining heavily... "Sakshi pata hai main kitna tensed tha..." he said... rubbing his hand through his wet hair...
"Arjun I tried to contact you... par phone dead tha..." she said... wiping her wet dupatta...
He hugged her tightly "Agar tumhe kuch ho jaye toh main..." she placed her fingers on his lips...
He was almost crying... it had been 72 hours since she was seen... and her last reported site was the one near the blast site...
He placed his lips on hers... and sucked her lips hard... hugging her harder... confirming to himself that she is in flesh and blood... he grazed her jaws with his thumb...
Arjun smiled and kept his head on her head.. as she hugged him... both were on the bed... up on their knees... hugging each other... her pallu had been off her...
Slowly she didn't know what seeped into her blood... she slowly unbuttoned his sherwani... and he kissed her cheeks... a flush of pleasure coursed through her veins...
Her hands automatically went inside his vest... feeling his warm body... he did nothing... he let her have it her way... he wanted her to feel confident... beautiful... lovely... beautiful.. he wanted her to feel like a woman...
He kissed her softly... her hands went up to his hair... massaging him softly as she kissed him softly... her eyes moistened...
Slowly every piece of clothing faded... and now they they just had the final barrier on them... he whispered innumerable time words of love... and she too whispered back with same intensity...
She clutched her pillow with anticipation... her heart beating like a marathon... however the thing that fascinated the most was when she placed her palm on his bare heart... it thumped faster... she could feel his blood rushing through... he kept her gently on his lap.. while she kept her head near his heart... hearing his heartbeat...
Every beat... every blood... every pulse... just for her...
The love for her... it nestled her into a fuzzy feeling... his touches on her faded into blur... just the fact that his heart was attached to hers.. not just skin to skin... but from heart to heart... it made the difference...
Finally he kept her back... and they were united into one... she stiffened in the beginning... but his kisses calmed her... and she melted...
Hours later... her safely cocooned in his arms...
"I love you... I love you..." he mumbled against her forehead... his eyes half closed... sweat beads on his forehead...
Sakshi softly wiped off the sweat... and hugged him tighter... linking their hands... their wedding rings lay together...
Finding her solace in the crook of his neck they both slipped into a blissful sleep...
The angels who witnessed the union from above blessed the couple...
"Tumne yeh bhi likha..." a 55 year old man removed his reading glasses... his smiles reaching up to his eyes... he was still lean and fit... light specks of grey near his temples... he closed the old pink diary and walked up to his wife...
Her usual habit of biting her lips during extreme focus didn't leave yet!
She focused her gaze on tying the dori of her blouse... "Toh... kyun na likhun... waise bhi tumhari aur mere sivah aur kaun padhne waala hai... ACP sahab..." she sneered...
He chuckled at her... even at 52 and after two kids she was beautifully thin... and toned... her hair shifted at one side... a silver rimmed glasses perched on her nose... which highlighted her kohl laden eyes... her grey hair still didn't come... yet maturity had set in her face...
He kept his chin on her shoulder... "ACP nahi... DIG bolo..." he wrapped his arms around her waist...
"Yeh DIG toh buddha hai... iss Sakshi Rawte ko woh ACP hi bada hot lagta tha!" Sakshi chuckled...
"Ya ya... abhi bhi har raat toh mere paas ek buddhi hi aati hai.. usi se guzaara karna padta hai..." Arjun sighed dramatically...
Sakshi raised an eyebrow and neared his lips... "Acha... par kya karoon... iss buddhi ko toh iss buddhe se jo mohabbat hai..." she kissed his jaw softly...
"Waise meri poori diary pad rahe the kya..." she asked...
"Aur nahi toh kya..." he said and did his daily routine... helping her fix her saree dori...
"Phir bhi... tumne suhaagraat ka toh sab kuch likha..." his eyes round in surprise... she chuckled... and cupped his slightly stubbled cheeks...
She laughed and went to the wardrobe... "Waise Arjun... ek baat kehni thi..." she said suddenly...
"Haa bolo.." he said...
"I love you" she whispered... and his face softened...
"Mr.Buddha!" she winked...
Arjun chuckled and pulled her close... "Chalo... har raat toh saboot deta hi hoon kitna buddha hoon... chaho abhi de doon!" saying he kissed her on her lips...
After a few minutes Sakshi hugged him tight... he felt soft tears on his chest...
"Hey... kya hua?" he asked...
"Aaj... Arneksha ki rishta aa raha hai... I dunno Arjun... I am just feeling...humari shadi yaad aa raha hai... that was the most important day of my life..." she said emotionally...
He patted her head.. "I love you Sakshi..." he whispered...
"I love you too Mum and Dad! Ab pata chala har subah aap dono aadhe ghante late kyun hote ho..." a naughty 22 year old barged in their room... he had the gusto of his mother... yet the irresistible looks from his father...
"Shiku!!!" Arjun and Sakshi said and hugged their son... "Mum Dad chalo na... yeh rudaali bacha ke rakho... bidai main solidly royenge... By God ki kasam!"he chuckled...
Arjun laughed and followed the mother and son duo! "Carbon Copy!" he muttered...
The duo turned to him and said "We heard that DIG sahab!" saying the two ran away to be stopped by a fair lady... she had big eyes and long wavy hair... her arms crossed against her chest in an exact replication of her father...
"Mr. Shikhar Rawte... agar tune paanch minute main tera project submission nahi kiya toh main tujhe aaj ghar main tikne nahi dungi!" she said.. a small smirk lingering on her lips...
"Arrey Daddy part 2... kar de dungi yaar... work is fun on the run... dekh meri pyaar beheniya... tu toh sab kuch hai na mere liye... meri jaan... meri chandni... meri flower..." Shikhar buttered his sister...
"Maska mat laga... yeh baat samjhe ya samjhaaun?" Arneksha glared at Shikhar...
"Arrey Kashu babu... jane de na... bilkul papa ki tara khadoos hai!" Sakshi muttered and took her daughter away... well.. she did give her darling papa a tight hug and then left... perhaps an emotional one to one...
A few hours later...
"Arneksha... I promise I would always be the reason for your smile..." A handsome man promised her...
Arneksha sniffed a little while her parents and gusty brother smiled... "Abbey... tune mere behen ko rulaya na toh tere piece piece karke Tommy ko khila dunga!" Shikhar chuckled...
"Arrey Sakshi yeh toh tumne proposal ka din kaha tha!" Arjun laughed... and Sakshi poked him...
"Damn It!" Suryansh cursed... he rubbed his mustache... in an exact replication of his father... yes indeed... he was none other than Suryansh Sameer Damsingh Rahtore
"Phirse Damn It! Phirse kahoge toh acha nahi hoga... samjhe ya samjhaun?" Arneksha glared..
"Arrey tum toh samjhe ya samjhaaun band karo! Pata nahi kaha se seekha hai!" Suryansh said to find his father in law glaring at him...
Sakshi slapped Arjun's arm "Bechare ko ghoorna band karo..." turning towards Suryansh "Beta dekh tera bhi Damn It bhi chuta kaha... tera papa aur maa kidhar hai?" she asked...
"Sorry we are late Sakshi... woh... Shree, Liza aur Alisha ko pick up karne gaye the..." Sameer said...
"Damn it! We are late by thirty minutes... kya Ayesha..." a 56 year old Sameer said... dressed in a white kurta pajyama... his mustache having specs of white... and black rimmed glasses perched on his nose...
"Arrey... Sasha ko bhi college main drop karna tha na... kya Sam!" Ayesha said... her wavy hair tied up to a bun... wearing a dark blue saree...
Then lowering her voice... "Aur Sam... main toh uthi thi 7 baje... par tum toh kaafi romantic mood main hi basse hue the!" Ayesha chuckled and Sam nudged her...
"Uffo tum dono bhi na... jaldi se mangni karwado... by the way... Shiku kaha gaya?" Sakshi said...
A 45 year old Shree laughed... his curly hair had been neatly trimmed and he had slight weight put on... while a 44 year old Liza chuckled at the usual banters... her hair left open...
At the garden...
"Alisha... yeh Christian Bengalis bohot khubsoorat hote hai na..." Shikhar flirted with a 20 year old spectacled Alisha Sen... who was a tall leggy lass!
"Tujhe aur kuch nahi soojta kya... humesha mere peeche line kyun maarta hai!" she asked at him... annoyed!
"Tere siva mere ko aur kaun jhel sakta hai!" he asked... looking at her emotionally... and something snapped amidst the two...
"Shikhu Alu... kaha ho tum dono!" Arjun screamed...
"Arrey baba!" Shikhar ran off... and Alisha chuckled...
The engagement was a huge family affair for the Rawte's which consisted of Arjun Rawte, Sakshi Rawte, Arneksha Rawte and Shikhar Rawte... as well as for the Rathore's - Sameer Rathore, Ayesha Rathore, Suryansh Rathore and Sasha Rathore...
And I am sure... in future we would see the Sen's - Shreekant Sen, Liza Sen and Alisha Sen in a tie up with the Rawte's 😉
At night...
Arjun was reading newspaper when he felt a soft form cuddle up to him...
Setting his glasses he muttered "Bolo Sashu..."
She wrapped her arms around his broad chest... "Dilon ki kya kahani hoti hai na..."
He neatly folded the papers and kept them aside... keeping his glasses away he turned towards his lovely wife... even at this age he could go crazy for her...
"Hmm... Tell Tale of Hearts..." he muttered...
They were a slight bit emotional as their baby daughter was soon going to be married off... a Senior Inspector herself she was the pride for her mum and dad...
He noticed her soft fingers lingering on his face... "Kya baat hai Sashu.." he grinned turning on her side...
His experienced fingers softly tugging at her nightgown... "Bas kuch nahi ACP sahab" she whispered back...
"DIG bolo..." he answered... tickling her... she melted into his arms and hugged him tightly...
"Arjun... yeh theek hai?" she asked... he smiled and kissed her forehead gently... pecking her lips they rediscovered love in them...
"I love you... I love you..." he mumbled against her forehead... his eyes half closed... sweat beads on his forehead...
Sakshi softly wiped off the sweat... and hugged him tighter... linking their hands... their wedding rings lay together...
Finding her solace in the crook of his neck they both slipped into a blissful sleep...
