CHAPTER 76 (A). SANGEET SPECIAL! PART I

Day - 6 Wednesday

Sheeshmahal

"Welcome to Sheeshmahal. Aap sabhai logon ka Sheeshmahal ma swaagat hai!", Naani smiled at her audience as a loud clapping and cheering started. There were some whistling too. It was Sangeet Function for her Chote and Chutke and Naani was very happy. Her smile and cheerful attitude spoke of her happiness in volumes. Surrounding the stage were the guests, most of them family members as Sangeet was a family event only. And that is why Maan and Arnav had sent their corporate guests to shop in Lucknow markets for the evening with wining and dining for night at one of the 5 star Hotels serving Lucknow's specialty, the Mughlai cuisine.

Maan and Arnav passed on fake smiles to people around them as they clapped for Naani. Now why were Arnav and Maan faking their smiles? It was because they did not even know half of the people in the crowd! Arnav's Naani and Maan's Daadi alongwith the Guptas had gone all out and invited as many relatives and friends as possible. Even Khushi, Anjali and Annie, the socialites of their respective families and friends with every relative of theirs, could not recognize some of them. All in all, Maan and Arnav were surrounded by strangers and neither of them liked it. Aakash would have felt uncomfortable too as he was also reserved person by nature but he was too lost in his Miss. Cham-Cham to care about the unknown guests. And the said Miss. Cham-Cham, alias Miss. Paayal, another reserved person by nature also did not notice her guests as she was also lost in her Rajkumar who was staring at her from the moment she entered the hall. So except Maan and Arnav, everyone was eager for the function and could not wait for it to start.

"Aaj humaar pota Aakash bitwa aur humaar naati Arnav bitwa ka sangeet hai!", Naani spoke into her mike when the crowd quieted down, "Aur hum bahutai khush hai ki aaj aap sabhai ne yahaan aakar humaara mann rakha! Ee ke liye aap sabko hum sabki taraf se dhanyawaad! Toh chaliye! Aapan aaj ke kaaryakram ka shuruvaat karte hain aur bulaate hain unko

jo Raizada khaandaan ki khushiyon ki chaabiyaan hai,

dono hai behne, par rehti sang jaisan saheliyaan hai,

jo sirf apne Chote aur Veere ki jaan nahi,

humaar aur Manorama ki laadliyaan hai!

Aur kuch dino mein hi woh banegi do nanad,

Jinki Lavanya aur Paayal Bhabhiyaan hai!

Toh boojho kaun?"

Shouts of Anjali' echoed around the main hall followed by shouts of Geet'. NK shouted, "My Pataaka!" much to the amusement of the younger crowd and horror of the older crowd. Arnav shook his head in fondness while Maan sent a glare in NK's general direction.

Anjali entered the stage wearing a sky blue Saree with green Pallu looking quite beautiful with her hair done in elegant updo. Many people wondered whether she would have modeled for Raizadas if her leg was normal; she looked that beautiful. With glowing face and cheerful smile, she walked onto the stage and looked around. The excitement for the wedding was reflecting on her face as her eyes twinkled with anticipation. On the other side of the stage entered Geet. While Anjali looked graceful and elegant as the eldest daughter of the family, Geet looked very much like the youngest daughter and the princess of the house with wide smile and eyes twinkling with mischief. Dressed in purple Saree with the Pallu worn in front instead of the usual back, she looked more like Madhuri Dixit of Hum Aapke Hai Kaun! Mischief in her body language, fun on her face and with a smile on her face which could brighten the room, she looked every bit the laadli of the Raizada family. Maami sniffled at how beautiful both the girls were looking while Arnav and Aakash clapped loudly for their sisters. As for Maan, he was stupefied. The color of the Saree was so similar to the one Soni wore for their ice cream date, that Maan was taken back to past; the time they spent together on that terrace with her eating ice cream and smiling at him. So lost was he in his thoughts that Maan almost missed Anjali's words.

"Hello! Good Evening, Namaste, Satsriyakal aur aadaab, Humaare saare athithi jano ko!", Anjali started speaking in her mike.

"Aap humaare dono bhai ke shaadi mein aaye, humein bada achcha laga!", Geet chirped into her mike.

"Lekin aap mein se kai log aise honge jo Chote aur Chutke yaani ki Arnav aur Aakash se mile jaroor honge lekin unhein personally jaante nahin.", Anjali spoke.

"Toh aaj hum dono behne AB aur Veere yaani ki Arnav aur Aakash se aapka parichay karwaayenge!", Geet spoke and stepped back. The light dimmed and one spotlight lit up and focused on Anjali.

Anjali searched in the crowd for her brother and once she found him, her eyes locked into his eyes and she spoke in a soft but mesmerizing voice, "Hum humaare Chote ke baare mein kya bataayein! Woh toh humaari jaan hai!"

Anjali was staring at Arnav with so much love in her eyes that people felt they were intruding in a private family moment. And they were not wrong either! Anjali was talking only to her Chote at that moment.

"Jab yeh paida hue the aur Ma ne ise humaare godh mein rakha tha, usi din isne humaara dil cheen liya. Sahi kehte hain Shyamji! Humaari zindagi mein sabse pehle Chote hi hain aur Chote hi rahenge!", Anjali sniffed as she pulled her eyes away from Arnav and looked at the crowd. Her eyes fastened upon Maami and she spoke, "Maamiji hamesha kehti thi ki jab hum Ma banenge tab hum Ma ki mamta ko samjhenge! Par Maamiji, hum toh tabhi mamta ko samajh gaye the jab Chote ne apne nanhe haathon se humaara aanchal pakda tha kyunki use mandir mein aate jaate bheed se dar lag raha tha! Hum toh usi din se humaare Chote ko duniya ki saari dard, saare gham se door rakhne ki kasam kha chuke the! Mamta yahi hoti haina Maamiji?"

Maami nodded as she wiped her eyes and sniffled while Arnav looked at his Di with love filled tender smile.

Anjali pouted as she looked at Arnav again but this time with guilt filled eyes.

"Lekin humein maaf karna Chote! Hum aapko dard aur dukh ki duniya se bacha nahi paaye!", she said referring to their parents' death and further problems they faced. Arnav shook his head as if telling her that it was not her fault as his eyes filled with tears.

Anjali looked down and took a deep breath as she realised that she was diverting from the main topic and that was introducing the Chote she knew to the world. She raised her head and everyone saw that she had pulled herself together and was back to her normal cheerful personality.

"Aap sab Chote ko ASR ke roop mein jaante hain! Koi uski sakti se waaqif hain toh koi uske rude tarah se baat karne ke tareeqe se! Koi uske ghusse se mil chukka hai toh koi uske ghamand se! Lekin yeh sab humaare Chote ka upri pehnaava hai! Andar se yeh aaj bhi wahi Chote hain! Woh Chote jo apni Di ko humesha khush dekhna chaahte hain! Jo apni Naani ki baat kabhi nahi taal sakte hain! Jo Maami ke liye latest designer Saari order karte hain! Aur jo apne Maamaji ko jyaada der kaam karne nahi dete, har waqt Office se ghar bhej dete hain aaraam karne ke liye! Apne chote bhai ko humesha support karte hain, aur har waqt apni choti behen ko chidha chidha ke sataate hain lekin har musibat se use bachaake rakhte hain. Duniya ke liye, aapke liye yeh ek perfect businessman hain, lekin hum sab ke liye yeh perfect bete, perfect Bhai aur perfect insaan hain!"

Anjali turned and looked at Lavanya, "Aur aaj hum humaare iss anmol heere ko aapko saunp rahe hain! Dhyaan rakhiyega iska, Bhabhi, kyunki yeh aapka humesha khayaal rakhenge! Aapko palkon pe bithaake rakhenge! Aur aapko itni khushi denge ki aap khud humse aake kahenge ki yeh world ke perfect husband hain!"

Lavanya grinned brightly at her words as she gripped Arnav's arm tightly trying to maintain her fake smile and hiding her growing discomfort and dread at getting married to an almost stranger. Arnav did not even notice Lavanya's action as he was concentrating on staring at his sister's glowing face. What her words could not convey, her eyes and face conveyed. Her love for her younger brother, her adoration to the mischievous boy who wormed his way into her heart the moment she saw him for the first time and her respect for the man he was today could be seen in her eyes and her expression. Arnav smiled softly as he saw the pride she felt for being his elder sister. At that moment Arnav knew that he had achieved everything he wanted in his whole life. The ambition to be the best businessman and the need to give his sister a perfect life has been fulfilled. Now he could move on to his happiness.

There was silence for few minutes after Anjali ended her speech. And then slowly the claps started and soon the whole hall was echoing with it. There was not a single dry eye in the hall after hearing Anjali's words. Anjali sniffed a little and Arnav could not stop himself from climbing up the stage and hugging her. The claps got even louder at Arnav's gesture and when Arnav turned to the crowd, people could see that even Arnav was not unmoved by his sister's words. Hugging his sister again, he moved away and walked back towards the crowd.

There was a brief silence as everyone tried to gather their composure and then Anjali spoke up but this time with a playful tone, "Chalo! Yeh baat hui humaare Chote ki! Ab chaliye baat karte hain humaare Chutke ki! Lekin unke baare mein hum nahi uske favorite aur laadli behen baat karegi!"

There were some mild claps as Anjali stepped back and the spotlight shifted over to Geet who stepped ahead and smiled at everyone. If Anjali's smile made everyone feel content, Geet's smile was such that everyone was almost waiting for a prank to happen. Aakash shook his head at her naughty smile. Why did he feel that he is going to be very embarrassed today?

Geet started right away, "Hello ji! Kaise ho? Hun changi hun aur thodi excited bhi! Aaj mere Veere ki jo baat oh rahi hai! Sabko lagta hai ki humaare Aakash Babu yaani ki mere Veere bade hi shaant type ke, chup chaap rehne waale aur bade shy insaan hain. I mean Arnav Bhai ke saamne Veere toh bade hi seedhe saadhe lagta hain, right? Jahaan Arnav Bhai prankster the apne dino ke, wahin Veer ek dum padhaaku bande the! Jahaan Bhai ka ghussa bomb ki tarah explosive, wahin Veere bomb ke saamne bhi shaant rahenge! Lekin main aapko bataa dun ki humaare Veere bhi kuch kam nahi! Chupe rustam hain! Jaante hain ki College ki time ke yeh best guitarist aur best singer the!"

Aakash's eyes widened as everyone looked at Aakash in new light.

Geet continued, "Jee haan! Kya gaate hain yeh! Humaara poora parivar jhoom uthta hain inki aawaaz sunke! Paayal Bhabhi! Aapko bataa doon ki ladkiyaan inki aawaaz ki deewani thi! Roz unhein propose karne aa jaaya karti thi!"

Paayal looked at Aakash in shock while Aakash smiled at her sheepishly.

"Arre PB! Tension mat lo!", Geet spoke and Paayal turned to look at her.

Geet smiled at Paayal widely, "Aapke siva yeh kisi pe aaj tak fida nahi hue! Aapke ne kya jaadu kiya pata nahi, ek nazar mein aapke ghaayal hogaye!"

The younger crowd snickered, the older crowd looked at Geet's bold words in shock. Maami and Naani slapped their foreheads while Maan and Arnav rolled their eyes. Paayal turned bright red while Aakash looked at his sister in horror.

Geet continued to speak, "Aapko ek aur secret bataaun! Humaare Mr. Aakash Raizada bade hi unda kism ke negotiator hain. Office mein jab bhi koi deal pe negotiation karna hota haina, toh Arnav Bhai inhein aage kar dete hain! Kehte hain jaa beta jaa! Jung ladh aur jeet ke aa!"

The crowd tittered at her words while Aakash hid his face with his hands.

Geet's playful tone turned downright mischievous, "Aur yeh bhi mahaan hai! Apne Bhai ko kabhi niraash nahi karte! Jung mein apne fateh ka jhanda lehraake aate hain! Toh Paayal Bhabhi, agar aapko kuch chaahiye toh seedha aapki Daadi saas ya Saasuma ya aapki dono nanad ke paas aa jaana, kyunki inhonein agar negotiate karne ki thaanli na, toh aapko kuch nahi milega!"

Laughter continued to echo while Aakash threatened retribution to Geet in his mind. Geet eeped as she noticed Aakash's murderous expression.

Geet's playfulness turned into sincerity as she smiled softly, "Lekin agar aapko advice chaahiye na Bhabhi toh aapke pati uske liye right insaan hain. Jaante ho aap, wahi the jinhonein mujhe aage padhne ke liye, aapne sapno ko poora karne ke liye protsaahit kiya!"

Then she chuckled slightly, "Mujhe ek naye Mummy aur Pappa diya! Mere saath apni Daadiji ko bhi share kiya!" Even Aakash grinned at that.

Geet smile tearfully at him, "Aaj mein jo bhi kuch hoon Veere sirf aapki wajah se hoon! Thank you! Mujhe apni behen banaane ke liye!"

Aakash shook his head, opened his arms wide and beckoned her over. Geet grinned as she ran down the stairs and hugged him tightly. He kissed her hair softly and mumbled, "Love you Geetto!" Geet sniffed, "Love you too Veere!"

The audience smiled and clapped as they watched the brother sister duo hug each other.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I know! I know! I promised that I will update sooner but what to do? Simple scenes are so easy to write that I can write them in sleep but the scenes above are so emotional that it needs a lot of focus and emotional involvement from me and that was tough for me to give when I was tired due to running around shopping and getting everything needed for Navratri and Dassehra while trying to find time to write when light is actually here!

Hope you understand and ignore the delay!

I know it cant be easy for her being the elder sister

Though she may nag him and make him do things he doesn't like but she only does that so he stops hiding himself behind the ASR mask

She loves her chote and wants ASR to be there less and less in her chote

After all she is a sister how can she see him like that

But in kappa's DFL at least she isn't as weak as they made her out to be in the serial well later they just ruined her character man

Of course past memories cant be dismissed easily

But hey cheer up again guys

They don't gel well with peeps who aren't part of their family

Which is why they would never show the world their other side

Not only the business world know aru like that but afreen too faced his this ASR side man till recently

Seems khushi has met all those facets too that anj is on about

Waise to a certain point anj is right

Its just a mask he wears so peeps don't come to know the real him

No wonder he went full on ASR with khushi

But that is still no excuse I tell ya

I don't know if he is the same chote

This chote is also in love finally

And not to the girl he is gonna marry

But the one who is his SIL to be

He is cute like that aint he our aru
