Azhagar is in the kitchen and asks Kanaga to pack the food for his friends. She refuses at first but he threatens her and gets his way. Azhagar is about to leave with the food, when Revathi sees him and she correctly guesses that it's for Sakthi. She asks how can he be friends with Sakthi who is from their rival family. He says that Sakthi is a good friend and they never talk about the families, as both support their respective families. She asks him if Andal is the reason behind his friendship with Sakthi and Azhagar denies saying they have been friends for a long time and Andal only came now. He then asks her who is her most favourite person in the world and she replies it's him. He asks what about after marriage and after she has a child, to which she replies that he will always be the most important for her. He is touched and she then asks him to stop the sentiment and go. He leaves.
Azhagar meets Sakthi and Poosari. Sakthi is fully drunk and Poosari is singing to him. Azhagar apologizes for being late and Sakthi complains to Azhagar how Poosari only gave him a small drink. Azhagar praises how Sakthi knows his limit when it comes to drinking and Poosari's self talk about how Sakthi drank the whole bottle. Azhagar pours another glass for Sakthi and both drink. Azhagar expresses his happiness about his sister's engagement and asks Poosari to sing some bro-sis senti songs. Poosari mind voice about singing heart break songs for Sakthi. He then sings the song Azhagar requested and Sakthi says his sister will be happy wherever she is. Sakthi passes out.
Andal calls Sakthi and Azhagar answers the call. She asks him where her brother is and Azhagar lies that he is driving his bike. He asks Poosari to do some mimicry to convince her that he is driving his bike. She is not convinced and orders him that her brother should be home in 10 minutes. He agrees. (Poosari notices that Azhagar has some feeling for Andal.)
Azhagar brings Sakthi to his house and Andal meets them outside of the house. Azhagar is putting some mokkai and Andal is irritated. She accuses him of getting her brother addicted to drinking. Azhagar questions her whether Sakthi is a newborn and tells that it was Sakthi who made Azhagar drink in the first place. She tells him to drop Sakthi and go. They tried to wake up Sakthi, who wakes up and asks Andal who are you. She is annoyed and replies your mother. Sakthi panics and asks Azhagar to take him from there. Andal manages to get him off the bike and Azhagar is about to leave when Sakthi says I will accompany you. Andal scolds them and tells Azhagar to leave.
Andal informs Sakthi where everyone is seated in the hall and advises him as to how to reach his room without getting caught by the family. Sakthi is in no state to understand but says he will not get caught and proceed towards the house, still calling Andal as amma. Andal fears about what will happen inside and follows him.

Sakthi stumbles into the house and all are staring at him. He remembers Andal advising but gets confused as to who is sitting where. Andal reaches him and asks why are you still here anna. He asks about his father, thinking that Andal is their mother. Andal replies that she is not amma but Andal. He says no Andal is there, and points to their mother. He talks to his mother, thinking she is Andal and tells her that he will be happy when he gets her married to someone. He then mistakes his father to be his brother and teases him. He tells him not to sit in their father's seat and when Chids say he is his father, he laughs and makes fun of him. Everyone laughs. Sakthi then mistakes his brother to be his Anni Subha and his niece to be his nephew. His niece calls him "chithi" as a way of getting back at him for mixing up everyone. Andal tries to take him to his room but he looks at Subha and calls her "ayya". Subha is annoyed and tells him that he can even slap her but don't call her "ayya". Sakthi says sorry to his "ayya" and Subha hits herself on the forehead. He then says they are all confused but can't confuse him. He says he will go to his room but reaches the cupboard and mistakes it to be his room. He complains about how small the room is and then gets into the cupboard and close it. Andal finds it hard to control her laughter whereas Chids, his wife and others are annoyed.
A husband and wife are discussing about how they don't have the money to even pay the interest for the loan they borrowed from some man. The husband says how the man who gave them the loan only cares about his money and that they can't even leave the village in search of a job as he has a lot of power. Aarusaamy comes there and calls the man out. He asks for his money and insults the husband when he says he doesn't have the money now. Aarusaamy orders that if he doesn't get his money tomorrow, he will make his children and wife work in his farm. Aarusaamy leaves with a final warning. The couple decides to commit suicide as Aarusaamy won't let them live with respect.
