He's got nothing to lose. Why make a tamasha of nothing. He's probably making his strategies than fight for trivial things. He's volunteered for staying awake and also for starving but the secret group didn't approve him. Maybe he's too strong and they know he will complete the tasks. He's a winner already so far.
