cut and paste!

hi folks!
i watched the episode with enthusiasm of watching birbal in action..but it did not meet my expectations!..i forced myself to watch it as i wanted to see what cvz will do different with this much awaited character but somehow due to poor script/editing/direction the whole effect was missing..birbal's dialogues should have that subtle sarcasm with rib tickling humor or i would say intelligent humor..but that intelligence was missing in the dialogues..the actor can do better as he is a seasoned actor but will go waste if not handled properly or if made as a lamp post like the rest..the dek scene mixed with tension filled scenes because of jo and ruk gone did not gel well and gave an impression of cut and paste..two main leads in separate frames and the main event happening in presence of someone else was not very soothing to watch..and then on top of that all the shaguni shraap jaap was getting on my nerves!

the whole melodrama of jo pregnancy and delivery did not make any sense at all..why they had to go out of the palace when that hakima could be brought into the palace..a blooper or cvz just wanted to cut paste another drama..the only part i liked was paridhi's very natural expressions and voice experiencing labor pains..she acts well when given less bhashan type dialogues!..the rest was very disconnected..and disappointing!

i hope that cvz do something to rectify the missing charm and improve the script as well as direction and i will say today that i was missing SV's touch!

Yes only good thing was jalals blush and paridhi in the bland show

that actor has so far played mainly negative and intense roles..do not know how well he will portray subtle intelligent humor..it all depends on script and direction..he is a seasoned actor but needs to be handled properly!

This birbal was talking about his wife wanting all fine things like shahenshas begum i wonder kiya aaj ke zamaane me bhi esa hota hai kya ,seriousely cvs kiya entry de birbal ko aur kiya dialogue hum to heyraan reh gaye,wese cvs intelligent humar nahi

i do not know yaar! maybe it was written somewhere that he did say all this in reality but the presentation and timing was wrong..these things are said when u r close to a person not on first meetings especially about the begums that was bit too much to take..it would have made more sense if they would have shown him saying all this later when jalal had got the hang of his humor but not at the first meeting!

Birbal is too old like tody as well as mansingh and mirza aziz are youngsters..I hope they bring bhagwandas soon atleast he can stay with his kinda stock

Mandy, the birbal kissa shown is actually one of the many Akbar Birbal storiea - infact if this particular story is popular in other parts with other characters in place of Akbar and Birbal. Birbal was never the court jester - he was a very intelligent man who was valued by Akbar for his unique perspectives which helped Akbar see things with greater clarity - Akbar himself being a man who saw things from varied perspectives had the ability to appreciate and cherish the same in others. Also Birbal was a very generous man and very spiritual - which is the way both Fazl and Badayuni describe him - and he was dear to Akbar for these very reasons - the rest interms of stories are more a case of folk tales and heavily borrowed from tenali rama tales and from similar tales of Bengal - do read C.M. Naim paper on this that I had pmed you. Actually the CVs cannot do subtle humour which actually will be a problem in the Akbar Birbal relation - plus the actor playing Birbal has to work hard on his diction - as for yesterday - thankgod Abar was shown as an Emperor - in all such cases the Emperor only comes after the birthing happens - thank god for small mercies from CVs that we will get the Emperor coming to the inner chambers after the twins are born !!!
