I think he might have heard ishita but he is playing along with her. I love when he said "Ek din tum khud mujko bataogi" ** Blush Blush **

I think he heard it but just want Ishita to confess to himself not like this overhearing confession. Also,he gave he hint that Ruhi muttu ko bol rahi thi k She loves him and realized late, etc...

I think he heard it but didn't say directly to her so she will not feel too shy..he said a story about ruhi and mutthu is actually talking about ishita telling story..that's why he said mutthu was not there exactly like he was not there.. He will tease her and will make her to confess it..😉
