Pink villa - Sonam roped in for Bollywood

After wooing us with her charm in "Khoobsurat", Sonam Kapoor has reportedly been approached for the Bollywood adaptation of Walt Disney's "The Princess Diaries".

"Khoobsurat" was Disney's first production in India, and Sonam has impressed the studio officials with her work in the film. It is said that the studio officials loved the actress' screen presence and want her to play the lead role in the Hollywood flick.

Hollywood diva Anne Hathaway originally played the role in the 2001 Hollywood movie, which was based on Meg Cabot's novel of the same name.

Sonam is not a new name in the international fashion market. With her stunning looks at Cannes and other international appearances, the actress is already a favourite because of her great style sense. Also, after seeing her cutesy, full-of-life avatar in "Khoobsurat", it will be nice to see her play the princess in the movie.

Hmm I don't like the idea of Princess Diaries remake. The movie itself is a so-so for me. 8 years ago I may like it. I am much eager for her BfB. Plus, how many times you will play princess Sonam esp after Prem Ratan. I just worried of princess repetitive syndrome. 😆.. But if so, hope the movie have different touch than KS. To be honest I much prefer you to be Bridget Jones after this 😛. JK

I guess this is that Battle for Bittora adaptation. Stories are similar.
