Priya was in the man's arms. She was clinging to him. holding him close to her. he was running his fingers gently over her smooth cheeks. As he moved his thumb over her lip a brilliant shade of red formed on her cheeks, a innocent smile on that sweet lips of hers. Her hold on him turned tight. "I love you" he told her in a whisper. "I love you too" she whispered back with that dazzling smile of hers. The man smiled back and bent his head moving his lips towards her. the man...!!!

Ram gritted his teeth. "Why am I imaging such things" he thought. Ram had been disappointed with so many stuffs before. but imaging his lady with someone was like stabbing right in the middle of his tiny little heart. Tears wanted to escape his eyes, but he kept controlling them. He just hoped that he didn't burst out crying in the middle of a big crowd. Everything seemed to be changed within a matter of few hours. Ram walked into the airport in a casual red tee and blue jean. "why should I wear that damn suit which she suggested me" he thought. he carried a small briefcase. Still Kate's voice seemed to be echoing in his head. "God please stop this voice in my head" he said under his breath as he stood to claim his ticket to Delhi. He wasn't sure what to do. He just needed sometime alone. Real alone. From everyone he knew. Even from his best friend. From the girl he loved. He took deep breaths now and then to control the raging emotions that was building up within him. flashes of Priya with someone was throwing up now and then in his mind, tearing him into thousand pieces. Ram rubbed the sweat in his head with his palm. He didn't know why he was feeling so restless. He just wanted to move away from this place. The place where she lived and go away. For now he would go and then he will take granny to he decided. He took his phone. Loads of messages and calls from Kate. He sighed "If I talk to you, I will hurt you Kate, I am sorry" he said staring at his phone. Stuffing it back into his pocket, he got up to board the flight.

Kate was pacing in the living room restless. She wasn't quiet sure of what she was going to do. But she had to tell Ram everything, the whole truth. And other hand she should make sure that Priya didn't know anything about this. Alex had clearly given her instructions to go and meet Ram in Delhi, and explain him the whole thing, else all this would end in a big shit. "damn it, god please help me" she cried. Her puffy face showed that she had been constantly crying. She dialled Ram's number. "Pick up please" she begged to the phone. Hanging up his call, she called Priya. "Jesus, why isn't anyone answering me" she kicked the table nearby. "Ouch, Ouch" she limped and sat on the couch. She typed a message to Priya and left to get her bags ready. "Please, I need immense strength to fight with Ram" she thought as she threw her clothes into the bag. Taking her handbag, she locked the door and left to the airport.

As the flight took a leave, Ram closed his eyes. he was never comfortable with the taking off and landing up of flight. He felt his head spin. And the numerous things that were running in his head made his head heavy. He tried to relax. "are you worried about anything son?" a calm, concerned voice asked him. he opened his eyes to see the man near him. "nope, I am fine" Ram lied. "then why do I see a glint of tear in your eyes?" he asked "none of your business" Ram snapped at him and then took a breath. The man was elder to Ram, a little younger than the age of his father "I am sorry, I shouldn't have behaved that way" Ram told him "that's ok, I am Bill, an architect" he introduced himself. "Ram" Ram said back. Ram was never used to talking to people who strangers to him, infact the truth was that no one has started a conversation with him before. "So, Ram, why are you going to Delhi?" he asked "Business reason" Ram made his words short. He was in mood to talk to anyone and specially this man seemed to be someone who will never shut his mouth. "I am going for my daughter Ann's wedding, it was all of a sudden, she fell in love with someone and they decided to marry" Bill told him. "Falling in love" Ram muttered "are you having any problem?" Bill asked Ram. "Few hours back I felt I had the perfect life, and now here a person is questioning me whether I have any problem" Ram thought and smiled. "its good to see you smile" bill told him. Ram particularly didn't like talking to bill, but he felt that it helped him to forget the things that were running in his mind and stay normal for a while. Bill though old, was lively and kept Ram fully occupied with his life stories. "do you believe in love?" He asked Ram. "I am not sure what to believe in" Ram said "well, I do believe in love, my wife, I fell in love with her at the first sight, and later I came to know she was a divorcee" "So what did you do?" Ram asked "well, I still loved her even after I knew, I had to make her realize that she loved me too" Bill smiled. "So why isn't she with you now?" Ram asked. "she reached Delhi a week back and I had to stay here for some work reason, and you know what, I hate staying away from my wife" he said. "that's nice" Ram said. "now what about your family" Bill asked "I live with my granny" Ram told him "seems like you wasted your life earning money" Bill mocked as they both laughed. Ram felt light as Bill told him the funny things that he did for his wife and child. "we were in London for a while. And Ann would always ask for Santa during Christmas time, so my wife used to dress me up like Santa without her knowledge and Ann would ask me where my reindeer and sleigh was" saying Bill laughed. Ram totally didn't understand what was funny in this but maybe as a father it was special to him. "so Ram have you ever had any woman in your life?" bill asked "Ah.. no... actually" "who is she" Bill asked. "nope I don't have any" ram told him "hmmm.. you know what, we had a son, he died when he was eighteen and when I see you I feel like seeing him" Bill told him "I am sorry about your son but I am not you son" Ram said slowly. "yeah, that's right" Bill smiled. The rest of the journey Ram sat quietly listening to Bill's love story, keeping away everything else from his mind.

Kate was waiting for the next flight to Delhi. It was already night. she tried calling Priya but it seemed Priya was held up in her work. Her phone rang, a small smile came across her face "Alex" she whispered "Kate.. are you ok?" his voice came from the other side "never better, I miss you" she said "how I wish I was by your side when you need me" he said "Its okay Alex, I can understand" she said "baby, stay safe and keep me informed about your whereabouts, and I am trying to call Ram too" he said "ok Alex" she said. Her call to the flight was given "Alex I need to board the flight" she said "I miss you Kate, I will be there real soon" he said. "I will be waiting for that" she said. "I love you Kate, Take care of my heart" he said "I will" saying she cut the call and went upto to take her flight.

"you know what, we went for a dinner date yesterday and guess what, I kissed her" Cam exclaimed to Priya who was walking up to her cabin. She would faint anytime due to exhaustion. "What? You kissed her? Cam.! I mean that's awesome" she said. "yes awesome, isn't it? I just want to marry her and carry her away in my arms" cam told her. "very funny" Priya said and opened the door of her cabin. "so why you called me doc?" Cam asked. "I just want to give you something" Priya told him. opening her bag she took a neatly wrapped present and gave it to him. "Its just a small gift for your success in getting engaged to her" Priya told him. it was very rare Priya saw Cam run out of words. His eyes were turning moist "thankyou so much doc, you know this means a lot to me" he said "I know, now wipe your tears big man" she said. Cam smiled "Ok I gotta leave, its late, and I am damn hungry" Priya told Cam, taking her things she came out "see you tomorrow doc, good night" Cam wished. Priya smiled and took her phone to check. "god, whats wrong with Kate?" she thought seeing the loads of calls from her. then she opened her message.

"sorry Priya, I have to leave to Delhi today, it was fixed all of a sudden, take you food properly and don't sit and cry, I will be back soon, you know I love you" Priya read the message and her heart sank. Staying in the house alone was the one thing she dreaded. She made a quick call, but her phone was out of reach, so Priya left her a message to Kate telling her to take care of herself and come back soon.

And then She saw a message from Ram

"day after tomorrow, perfect, lets call it date this time ok? Please don't say a no..!! please Priya"

She smiled and typed him a reply. Kate was right. "before Ram goes to extent of proposing me, Ram had to know about me, I have to tell him the next time we meet" she decided and left to her car.

Both Ram and Bill came out of the airport laughing. Ram found Bill really a good company though a little over-talkative. For the first time Ram realized that having a father wouldn't be bad. Bill kept Calling him son and Ram didn't mind it, he liked it though "so are you free tomorrow son?" Bill asked Ram as they walked out of the Delhi airport. "Ha not much work" Ram told him. "so why don't you come for my daughters marriage? Comeon Ram, don't say a no" Bill told him "ahh" Ram told him. "Ok son, this is the venue, do come, I will be waiting for you" Bill said and turned to leave. Ram smiled seeing the man go. He looked around seeing where he was exactly. Then slowly he remembered why he had come here. The heaviness in his head set on. Taking his briefcase he left the airport.

Priya was singing to herself and cooking. Without Kate the whole house seemed empty. Taking her food she settled herself in front of the Tv eating slowly. She checked her mobile for messages. She remembered Kate telling her not to sit and cry and Kate was right. She put a movie and settled herself on the couch with some popcorn and coke.

Standing in the airport. Kate didn't have any hint were Ram was. She was constantly messaging him asking about his whereabouts, but he never bothered to give a reply back. she was angry on him for giving this kind off punishment to her. Kate knew that Ram was hurt and he needed her, but he wouldn't let her near him. "what will I do with him" she thought. alex had asked to rest and not do anything stupid at night. she took a cab, directing the driver to take her to the nearest hotel.

Ram was in his bed, staring at the message Priya had sent him.

"Okay, let this be a date, but I have something important to tell you"

"is she playing games with me?" he thought. keeping his mobile away, he turned the lamp near the bed off and covered himself with the quilt. Closing his eyes, he was able to see her face, smiling at him, a smile that could make hhim forget everything. Forget that she was not his. He smiled closing his eyes. and her eyes, which were sparkling always, with a trace of innocence in them, they seemed perfect. Few minutes later, the room was filled with his snores.

Kate woke up and checked the clock, it was 10. "shit, why did I sleep so badly" she thought and rushed to the bathroom to fresh herself. Coming in her bathrobe, she ordered her food and sat thinking where to go and find her stupid friend. Her phone buzzed. A smiled came over her face

"good morning honey, I know you are wondering what to do..! give Ram a call, things will be ok, love you"

Alex, he was gem. Though he was away from her, his presence and guidance were always with her. she felt lucky to have these three people in her life. taking his advice she dialled Ram's number "You don't pick up, your gone the next time I see you" she muttered as the ring went on...!!

"Oh son you came" Bill greeted Ram who was standing at the church entrance. Ram was in a grey suit, looking handsome as always, giving his killer smile. "Ah son, this is Beth, You must have known" bill winked and gave Beth a side hug. Beth hugged Ram "Bill told about you, and I was dying to see you, and he was right you indeed look like me son" she said. Ram smiled and Bill led him in and they both sat. The marriage was about to begin. Ram took his phone to capture a picture of the ceremony. It was the first time he was in a wedding. As the priest declared them husband and wife, Bill was clapping hard sitting near Ram. Ram got up to get himself some water.

Rams phone Rang..!

Bill looked at the phone near him. he saw Kates name in the caller id. He searched for Ram but couldn't find him, then hesitantly took the call "Ram, oh thank god, where are you? Are you ok? I am so sorry, I need to meet you please" Kate talked without taking a breath. "Easy girl, take a deep breath, this is not Ram, I am a friend of his" Bill told her "what friend? What friend? " Kate asked "Oh, we became friends very recently" Bill said "can you just tell me where he is please" Kate asked Bill. Bill gave her the venue for the wedding "thank you, thank you so much" saying she hung the call.

The marriage was over and Bill got busy with his family. Ram enjoyed seeing them. Bill had forced him to stay for lunch, Ram had objected but promised to stay a few minutes more. Ram was sitting on a bench under the tree outside the church, seeing the proud parents talking to their daughter.

"Ram" she called. Ram turned to see Kate. He stood up "Kate, what are you doing here?" he asked. she hugged him tightly "Ram, I am so sorry, please" she cried. He pulled her away "Its ok, I am not angry anymore, but I cant stay there either" he said. "Ram will you listen to me once please" she said "what is there to listen, I have heard everything Kate" He said "No, you need to listen to the whole thing" she said as Ram sighed "please Ram for me" she said. "Ok, we shall leave from here" Ra told her and went to meet Bill.

Ram introduced Kate to bill and Bill was glad to see Kate. "Ram I hope we meet again" saying Bill hugged him "me to" Ram smiled. Bill gave Ram his card, telling him to call anytime when he remembers him. Ram nodded and bid both Bill and Beth bye. "Bill he looks like" "yes Beth, he looks like our son, I wish he stays happy always" Bill told Beth as they saw Ram and Kate walk to the cab.

Priya came to know from granny that Ram had gone to Delhi for a urgent work. She was angry. "how both of them can leave me stuck here and go there" she thought. she missed Kate a lot and deep within her heart somewhere she missed Ram too.

"Ram, please listen till I finish the whole thing" Kate told Ram. They were sitting in a caf. Ram gave a nod. "Ram, when Priya and me started living in a house, Priya was in a relationship, with a man called . They were childhood friends, their parents were very close. Being friends later it turned to love, so says Priya. They both had common taste for medicine. But Priya wanted to work in India and he wanted to work abroad. So fate separated them and nearly eight years they were away from each other, but they used to go on holidays, meet when each other were free etc. Priya used to tell me loads about them, they were going to get married so and so. And one day he told he was coming to see her. and the day we did everything he liked, decorated the home for him, I was particularly eager to see him. and he came. He came, Priya was nearly in tears of joy seeing him. and then introduced his wife to us" Kate stopped.

Ram who was gritting his teeth looked at Kate suddenly "What?" he asked "yes, he was married, I don't know for how long, he was giving stupid reasons to Priya, but all Priya could do was run up to her room and cry her heart out, and from that day she is the same, crying silently to herself" Kate told him. he was able to see her crying to "Kate, I am sorry I didn't listen to the" "shut up, you, idiot, you frightened me, don't talk, I didn't tell this before as this was her past, now I just came here to say you everything, that's it" saying Kate got and turned to leave. Ram held her hand "kate I am sorry, I am sorry, I know I am an idiot" Saying he hugged her to him. he felt so bad for Priya. His heart ached more now. He wanted to see her. "Kate we will take the next flight back, I want to see her" Ram told her "Ram, don't fall in love with her" Kate told him "why?" he asked making her sit on the chair "Ram, I don't think Priya will accept you and I cant see you getting rejected and hurt" she said. "but its too late Kate, I already love her, more than anyone" he said. "Ram, please..." "Kate, falling in love is never in your hands, I will make her realize her love for me, but for that I need you by my side, will you be there?" he asked "you know Ram, I never wanted anything other than to see you with a girl, but now I am scared" she said. ram smiled "all is destined, she is mine, just trust me Kate" he said. she nodded "And don't ever tell her I told you this" Kate warned. He nodded "now shall we leave, I have a dinner date tomorrow, I don't want to miss it" Ram said. Kate nodded. "I am sorry Kate" he said. she smiled "having you as a friend is adventure" she said.

Hours later they were waiting to board their flight. Ram took the card Bill gave him. he typed him a message

"got my love, now going to make her realize it, Thanks Bill for the inspiration"

Sitting in the flight, he wished the time would fly and he could see her soon. He wanted to just hug and tell her that he was there was for here. Whoever was that guy, he was a dead meat if he came in front of Ram. He saw Kate sleeping beside him. he closed his eyes.
