Aahil and Rehan are a study of abused and neglected kids. Funnily enough they grew up where Sanam and Seher should have, in their house. They had money. Sanam and Seher didn't, thanks to Aahil and Rehan's Mother who killed their family. But at least Sanam had a good upbringing and she had love and care. Nurture mostly. Seher, we don't know what she got, but she was probably not abused.

Aahil was abused by his Father. His biological Mother died. His step mother showed him care, but it was fake. She brainwashed him into thinking he killed his Father, and took the wrap to make him indebted to her. It is what American's call "The Long Con". She never stopped him from going down destructive paths, like his drinking, excessive partying and girls. She wanted him to be a careless playboy, who didn't want a family, so that it will make it easier for HER to get her hands on his money. If no one cares what happens to Aahil, and he is too much under her spell to question her, then so much the better! If he had a women in his life who really loved him, her strangle hold on him will not be possible. THAT is why she is so threatened by Sanam. Not only because she is ASYA's daughter, which makes matters worse.

Then comes Rehan...he has never been given the right to call his Mother "Mum". He has pretty much been acting like her "employee" all his life, and watching her give the position of her son to someone else. Watch someone else call her "Mum" when he himself has to call her "Begum Sahiba". He has had a family but still doesn't have one. He grew up in a household where no one really loved each other genuinely. Like he told Seher, "Thanks to his Mother his life is a lie, and she is living in the shadow of lies, and he can never forgive her".

The way Tanveer has treated these boys is disgusting to say the least. Aahil and even Rehan are just pawns in her game. She is incapable of loving anyone genuinely. I am sure she loves Rehan in her own twisted way, but that is NOT the sort of love that Rehan wants from his Mother. She is busy trying to make him like her, when he is not remotely interested in being that way! Aahil she also tried to make like her, but deep down he too is a good person, so was never able to change his true nature enough to become callous like her!

The only genuine relationship in that house was ironically the one between Aahil and Rehan. They actually cared about each other. Then inevitably "The Girl" happened, and that relationship is now strained. A pity really.

Both Sanam and Seher have something to offer Billi's stray cats! Maybe unconditional love? Understanding? Let's hope!
