Salman Khan says there was never a fight with Shah Rukh Khan, but they are not friends anymore

S alman Khan, who has avoided Shah Rukh Khan at public events and awards functions for many years, denies ever being at war with him. While the two made news when they hugged at an Iftaar party earlier this year, Salman clarifies that they are no longer good friends.

"It was not some war that was going on, it was just that we used to be friends; we are just not friends anymore. We are acquaintances," says Salman, adding that the two actors give each other their space.

"He does his work and I do mine. We are not into each other's spaces. We meet and greet each other. I am sure he respects my work and I respect his," says the 48-year-old actor.

Not only did Salman recently praise the trailer of Shah Rukh's upcoming film, he also promised to promote it on the upcoming season of his reality TV show.

When asked about how he also promoted Aamir Khan's Dhoom: 3 (2013) in the last season, Salman interrupts the question, saying, "Haan, hum Happy New Year promote karenge. Har sawaal yeh hi aata hai. Decision unka hai but PR activity toh shuru ho gayi hai (Yes, we will promote Happy New Year. I am often asked this question. The decision on this will be made by them but the PR activity has already begun)."

Salman, who actively involves himself with the contestants of the show, says that it teaches him a lot. "It teaches me something every day. You get to know where the country is going. This is the youth and our culture. This is where the world is heading. We are showcasing India," he says.
