I think when they say acknowledged, they're referring to Sanam asking herself what these feelings she's having are and how she feels like she's in a dream that she doesn't want to wake up from. Aahil, we know, already loves her but he's conflicted about his feelings and what Tanveer told him about Sanam accepting money to marry him.
