Rowling Said One Chapter Made Her Cry

Author J.K. Rowling has penned the last word of her popular "Harry Potter" book series, and she told the BBC that after seven books, she is burnt out.

"I just want to take a break. I really do," she said.

Rowling has said that two characters die in her final book, due out July 21, and fans are wondering if Harry Potter himself might be one of them.

Rowling had been tight-lipped about the final chapter in the book series until now. The author said she broke down as she was writing what she knew would be the final chapters of her final book.

"I didn't cry when I finished," Rowling said. "But there's a chapter towards the end that I absolutely howled. It was, unbelievable."

It's the end of a spellbound era. Rowling's tales of magic and muggles have captivated readers since the first Harry Potter book was published a decade ago. The series has been a phenomenon with 325 million copies sold worldwide in 65 languages.

The big screen versions of the books have done extremely well, too. Five of the seven titles have been made into major motion pictures starring Daniel Radcliffe as Potter.

Radcliffe was a child actor when the series started. Now he's aged along with all the other kids in the early episodes.

Even though Rowling has completed the book series, Potter fans still have some things to look forward to. The fifth Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," comes out July 11. Two more films will be released in the next few years. A Harry Potter theme park will open in Florida in 2010.
