Wow!! Finally caught up! I can picture every scene with Vihan and Kalpi! I love the way you brought them together an made their meetings affect them! Vihan getting angry with himself for having feelings for Kalpi and not willing to accept it!! Loved every bit of it especaially the poll scene! And Kalpi known she is getting close to him and not understanding Vihans reactions towards her is awesome! Yummy! I luv!

Sorry for the delay in posting my update. On vacation and family and internet issues took up time. But promise to be regular from now on.

Chapter 10:

Both of them were seriously unhappy at the way their encounter at the pool had ended.

Kalpi was really angry at herself for tearing up at his rudeness. She was also upset that she had allowed Vihaan's nearness to affect her. She thought to herself, " Granted that Vihaan was a really great looking guy, but he was just not her type and she understood that he was trying to intimidate her, but she still got affected by him. She had to keep her distance from him and not allow situations which lead to encounters like yesterday night's and today's morning happening. She knew Vihaan was her employer and she should be more respectful to him and avoid exchanging harsh words with him, but she hated giving Vihaan an upper hand and he always brought out the fiery spirit in her.

Vihaan stormed into his room and banged the door angrily. "I have to get rid of this girl soon, I hate the fact that she makes me lose my cool and control. She was Vitthal uncle's daughter and she was doing a good job in managing his work, but she makes me behave abnormally which I don't like at all." Vihaan tried to think of ways to get her to quit her job, but the thought of her leaving the job, made him feel dissatisfied and angry.

Both of them came to the breakfast table with grumpy faces, but Kalpi put up a smile when she saw Naani. Kalpi had grown very attached to Naani and did not want to do anything which would upset her. Kalpi had dressed in blue coloured long flowing skirt and a light pink coloured sleeveless top. Her hair was still slightly damp from the shower she had taken. She was looking really beautiful with her shining kohl lined dark eyes. "You look exceptionally lovely today dear. This colour really suits you and you really have gorgeous eyes", Naani said. Kalpi who was not used to compliments about her beauty, felt embarrassed, blushed and muttered, "Thank you". . Her blush made her look lovelier.

Vihaan suddenly looked at her and felt a sudden wave of something akin to attraction and he looked away hastily.

"Did you go for you swim today, dear?" Naani asked.

The incident in the swimming pool suddenly flashed before her eyes and her eyes turned troubled.

Naani observed this and asked, "What happened dear?"

Kalpi suddenly smiled and said, "Nothing happened. I really enjoyed my swim, Naani. Thanks for allowing me the use of the pool."

Vihaan suddenly felt guilty at this behavior and he looked down.

Naani's phone rang so she excused herself from the table and moved away.

Kalpi who was already upset made a move to get up from the table.

"Don't go, Kalpana", Vihaan said suddenly and Kalpi sat back on the chair and looked at him questioningly.

"What venom is he going to spout on me now", Kalpi thought angrily.

"I am sorry, I did not mean to imply that you would sell my story to the tabloids. Please forgive me." Vihaan said.

"Then why do you say such rude things to me. You treat like I am your enemy or something. Why do you hate me so much? Tell me do you want me to give in my notice, so that you can get a new secretary." Kalpi said in sorrowful tone.

Immediately Vihaan reacted and said, "No Kalpana, I don't want you to leave this job. I said I am sorry for being rude, but you yourself are no less and you constantly try to rile me up".

"I did not do anything. I just try to do my job well. If you expect a meek, docile girl then I am totally not the girl for you. But from now on, I will try not to do anything to upset you." Kalpi said still not sure what she had done to anger him before.

Vihaan said, "I will also try to keep my temper in control and I know you can never be meek."

"Friends", he asked putting forward his hands.

"Do we need to be friends? Can't we just be good colleagues?" Kalpana said accepting his extended hands.

"See, you did it again. I feel you enjoy annoying me", he said.

Kalpi bit her tongue when she suddenly realized that she was not always an innocent party in these fights and said, "I am sorry, I don't do it deliberately. I really think we are not very compatible and upset each other without meaning too".

Vihaan smiled and said, "Lets both try our best. You are very good at your work and I don't want you to leave my job."

Kalpi suddenly felt a glow at his praise and she smiled back and Vihaan was dazzled once more.

Once Kalpi left the room, Vihaan thought to himself, "Just an hour before, I was planning to get rid of her. Now when she gave me the perfect opening to get rid of her, I actually used all my efforts to ensure that she continued working for me. But why do feel so happy that she is going to continue in my employ". He received no answers and he continued to ponder.

Vihaan had informed Kalpana that they were supposed to go to offices of Malhotra industries which included his production house and various other business interests that he had.

Kalpi was surprised to know that Vihaan was the owner of Malhotra industries and he had other business interests. She felt so stupid that she had not done her proper due diligence about Vihaan. She went online and starting searching for information about Malhotra industries and she was rather shocked to learn that Malhotra industries had varied business interests which were not restricted to Entertainment, but included pharma, electronics and software and was a stock market listed company.

Kalpi dressed herself in a one piece cream coloured sleeveless fitted dress which ended just below her knee. She tied her hair into a neat French braid. She had just worn eyeliner and a wine coloured lipstick. She looked into the mirror and thought she looked professional and ready to walk into any office room. She was very excited about today after reading all the information about Malhotra Industries.

She went down where Vihaan was already waiting. Kalpi was stuck again about how handsome he looked. Her friends had drooled over him, but she had remained unaffected. But Vihaan on screen was nothing as compared to Vihaan in real life. He was absolutely smashing looking and today dressed in a suit, he looked beyond handsome. Kalpi thanked God for making her unsusceptible to good looking men, because if she was not immune it would have been very difficult for her to work with him. Brains were always the biggest turn on for her and hence she was unaffected by Vihaan's looks. She could look at him objectively as if she was looking at a beautiful painting or sculpture.

Vihaan saw her come down and he was stunned by her perfect face and figure once more. Today he felt his hand itching to pull out her hair from the tight plait and allow it to fall like a dark waterfall, as he had seen beside the swimming pool. He controlled himself and greeted her with a smile which she returned.

They sat in the car. Kalpi had a 1000 questions she wanted to ask Vihaan about his company, his work, but she did not want to irritate him and kept quiet.

As soon as Vihaan entered the office, his whole demeanor changed. He suddenly looked totally different from the carefree movie star. Kalpi who was watching him was totally shocked to see his transformation. She decided he really was a good actor and he was now playing the role of a business tycoon.

Vihaan entered his cabin and Kalpi followed him dutifully.

Soon, a young guy entered the cabin and Vihaan said. "Meet Rahul Mehta, he is my Executive Assistant. She is Kalpana Jadhav, my secretary.

Kalpana gave him her hand and a dazzling smile and Rahul seemed pretty taken in, which irritated Vihaan.

Soon, Vihaan and Rahul were in deep discussion about business affairs of Malhotra Industries. Within 10 minutes into the discussion, Kalpi realized that Vihaan was not playing the role of the Business tycoon, but was actually one. She was shocked and surprised to hear his incisive questions and comments about various issues. She realized that Vihaan was a hands-0n business man with a thorough knowledge of the various happenings in his company. She had never expected it, but she was impressed beyond belief with his amazing intelligence. She wondered how Vihaan managed to make time to be so involved in his business. She watched him wide-eyed for hours taking in all the information and making notes, even though she was not really informed about the issues being discussed. She was totally unaware of the passage of time as she was so engrossed in the discussions. She was sure Vihaan had totally forgotten about her presence in the room.

Suddenly Vihaan looked at his watch, closed his laptop and said, "I hope everyone is ready for the meeting. Lets go" and walked out of his cabin in long strides. Kalpi had to actually run to catch up with Vihaan and Rahul.

She hesitantly asked Vihaan, "Should I come in for the meeting?"

Vihaan looked at her and said, "If you are interested, why not?"

"Yes, yes, I do want to attend", she said most eagerly. She had not even realized how interested she was in getting to see more of Vihaan in action.

Vihaan was surprised to see the excitement in her face and laughed and said, "Hey its just a meeting, I am not taking you out on date."Kalpi who understood that he was joking, did not allow herself to get riled up and answered in the same tone, " I would choose this meeting over a date any day, as I am sure that this would be more interesting".

Vihaan thought to himself, "I will show you how interesting a date with me can be, someday". Immediately he shook his head and thought, "Why am I thinking of her in terms of taking her out on a date. I must be losing my marbles".

There were 5 people who in the room, they were the heads of his different Business Units and Vihaan introduced Kalpi to each of them. Soon the meeting got underway and Kalpi was absolutely stunned by the finesse with which he handled the meeting. She could feel the respect that Vihaan commanded amongst these highly intelligent and capable industry heads. He treated his employees with respect, but expected total accountability from them.

Kalpi felt that was attending a master class in business watching him. When the meeting ended she felt a sense of anti-climax, as she felt that the time was not enough. It was only when she looked at her watch she realized that the meeting had lasted almost 3 hours.

Everyone left the conference room and Kalpi were left alone in the conference room. She looked at him in awe and said, "Oh God, you are too good at this. I can't get over how well you handled this meeting. You were better than any master class in my B-School."

Vihaan smiled unconsciously. He was used to being praised for his good-looks, acting and personality, but never was such lavish praise doled out to him for his handling of his business affairs. They way she was looking at me in such awe, with such sincerity in her face made him feel a sense of pride.

He said "Thank you" and both stared at each other. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and both were startled.

Vihaan asked the other person to enter and then asked Kalpana to wait in his cabin.

Kalpi waited in the cabin and Rahul joined her. She was happy to see him as she wanted to ask him a lot of questions.

He ordered coffee for both of them and they started conversing.

He told her how he had been headhunted from a rival company by Vihaan himself. He spoke about Vihaan in reverential tones. He told Kalpi that Vihaan was one of the most intelligent and shrewdest businessmen that he had encountered. He explained about Malhotra industries having been started by Vihaan's grandfather and how Vihaan had taken over after completing his business degree in the States. He also told her how Vihaan had taken it into greater heights. Everyone thought that he would lose his hands on approach once he started acting, but nothing like that happened. Every night he would call Rahul and take stock of the happenings as well as give his inputs.

Kalpi was absolutely amazed about how Vihaan managed everything. She had thought him to be lazy, but now realized that he was one of the most hardworking guys. She felt ashamed of herself for having misjudged and prejudged him without having complete knowledge.

Kalpi and Rahul soon bonded very well and Rahul told her about his girlfriend and how he planned to propose to her. They were discussing various ways of proposing and Kalpi gave him some ideas. But suddenly her funny side came up and she made some silly suggestions like walking up behind her with fingers pointed like a gun and proposing at gun-point. Send a text message with a proposal and post a proposal on Facebook. Soon they were laughing together at her silly suggestions and this was how Vihaan found them.

Vihaan suddenly found his temper rising and said rudely, "Rahul, I don't think I keep you busy enough, you seem to have a lot of time to waste."

Rahul got flustered and excused himself and left the room.

Kalpi said, " I am sorry for wasting Rahul's time, it was just that I kept him occupied by asking him about information about your company. Everything was so interesting that I did not realize how much time we had spent."

Vihaan said grumpily, "It did not seem like you were talking about work. You seemed to be having too much fun."

Kalpi said, "Oh, we were just discussing on ways how Rahul could propose to his girlfriend"

Suddenly Vihaan felt his anger abate.

Kalpi said, "Vihaan next week, you are going on an Outdoor shoot. Can I come to your office and work from here. I promise that I will take care of your affairs with full sincerity. I don't mind working in any department at any post. You can make me an intern; I don't expect to be paid. Please, please allow me to work here". She looked at him so expectantly that he could not refuse.

But he felt seriously displeased, as he had subconsciously planned to take her for the outdoor shoot with him.

Wonderful update. Loved the progress being made by kalpi and vihaan to be friends. I wish kalpi goes on the outdoor shoot with him. I hope there is some romance starting to blossom. But superb . U made my day. Waiting for next part

Loved the update.so kalpi is in full awe to see an intelligent vihaan. No how will she resist him as she had this thing iifgetting turned on by brains! Finally kalpi will be head over heels for vihaan. Loved the jealous vihaan. Awww he wanted to take kalpi for the outdoor shoot.
