My style is just like Shagun

Anita Hassanandani raises the glamour quotient by several notches in her two shows on the television " Yeh Hai Mohabatein and Fanaah. In a chat with Natasha Coutinho, Anita talks about her style statement, co-actors and small screen career so far.

Anita, do you give a lot of suggestions regarding the styling of your character in Yeh Hai Mohabattein?
Suggestions...not as such, but yes, if I think that I can give a few inputs that I feel will benefit my character, then I definitely do mention those to the team. I'm very particular about my accessories and clothes and love discussing and working on the look with the team. We all work on it together and gather lots of references. I trust the team and that's the reason my character has been appreciated by viewers. My look has been appreciated not only in YHM, but also in MTV Fanaah.

How similar is your off screen style to your onscreen one?
My style off screen is similar to Shagun's (the character I play in YHM), that's more or less the way I dress in real life. But nowadays, I am trying to experiment with my look, as you might have seen in Fanaah, where I am dressed glamorously on screen after a hiatus.

What are your favourite accessories?
My favourite accessories are my earrings! It's a must, wherever I go. In that regard, I'd like to Preet, who's the stylist for Fanaah, because she helped me discover my love for fashion.

What's your rapport with your YHM co-star Karan Patel like?
Karan is one of the best co-stars I have worked with. My rapport with him is nice whenever we shoot, he is full of energy and it feels like he gives off these positive vibes and energy to all of us on the sets.

Does your husband ever visit you on the sets?
No, not really, but I wish he would, and surprise me!

How do you make time for each other?
We're both busy with our respective work but we somehow manage to spend some quality time with each other. I think you have to take some time out for your loved ones. And we always schedule our work in a proper manner so we get time for each other.
