Pooja is the selection from the college for the inter-collegiate debate function. Mr Roy conveys this to the principal. The principal is a bit skeptical and informs Roy that it is a very prestigious event and hope that he's made the right decision. Roy is sure, but the principal wants to see the rehearsals.
Meanwhile, Pooja is having fun with her family at her house. She imitates Miss Mirchi - her bua, Jayshreeben - her mom and Rasikbhai - her father. And boy, she does well. The moment she completes, Miss Mirchi enters the house and says exactly what Pooja imitated. She wonders how long Reema is going to stay at her house and provocate her. Reema leaves the place and to Pooja's horror she is not to be found. Maya Gujral calls Pooja to find out about Reema's well being. Pooja says that everything is fine and she would soon convince her to go back home.
Advt. Break
Pooja and Mandy are worried. Reema calls them up but refuses to come back home nor tell them where she is. At Maya Gujral's place, Annie comes and talks to Mrs. Gujral. Mrs. Gujral is worried about Reema and tells Annie that she is upset that now she has to depend on Pooja for Reema's arrival. Annie tells her that she has one perfect plan for Pooja and will implement once Reema is back. With that plan, Pooja will have to worry more about her than anyone else. At the same time, Pooja comes there and tells Mrs. Gujral that Reema has left her house and left a letter for her. Pooja gives that letter which she has edited with an ink eraser to Mrs. Gujral where Reema mentioned that not to worry about her and she will be back soon. Pooja guesses that she must be staying at another friend's house.
St. Martin's Canteen - Akash discusses with friends a story he thoughts about. KS tells his and eventually Pooja hers. Roy overhears this and praises Pooja for her story and the way she tells it. Pooja gives the opening speech of the debate. Annie's send some friends there who laughs at the speech. Roy is very happy with Pooja, but the principal isnt. Principal calls a staff meeting within half an hour to discuss whether Pooja should represent the inter-collegiate debate or not. When Roy comes to know this, he is shocked.
Pooja is weak at spoken English and Principal seemed to be upset with it. What do you guys think? Is English speaking so important that it becomes a matter of reputation for the college to send Pooja as a representative? Do you think a vernac should not be allowed to represent the college at a high level competition? Will Pooja be allowed to participate or will Annie succeed in her plans? I would want to know your views on people who are weak at communicating in English. How much chance go they stand in today's world?
