LION ROARS AND PROCLAIMS ----- BE FIERCE, BE WISE, BE BOLD.
There were many references to the LION in yesterday's epi as Kavya was shown wearing the mask of a lion and was also wearing a yellow top, the colour of the lion and the sun. We have also seen Shlok roaring his head off at Aastha of late, saying some unforgivable things to her after professing to love her deeply and be with her, by her side not just this lifetime but for seven lifetimes.
A lion as we all know is the King of the jungle, a powerful, majestic and royal symbol and animal. It knows how to get what it wants as they have the ability to knock off balance the life of the enemy or prey. Because of its noble character, strength and courage, it gives humans great power to have self control and balance of life. The lion has many valuable lessons to teach us and these lessons remain the symbols that they are associated with: self control, personal strength and courage and balance.
Shlok has been roaring loudly at Aastha and this roar can be heard for miles around. He has been giving a warning to Aastha and Anjali that have to become independent, balance their roles in the house and be bold. Aastha by refusing to leave AM is bold and brave to stay behind, inspite of repeated insults from Shlok. Anjali has also exhibited courage and boldness by siding with truth and Aastha and has found a ray of hope.
Shlok is like the African lion which symbolises mastering his emotions and by roaring, he is unleashing the powers of the SUN GOD which are summoned at his will. He is proclaiming his power as a warning and as a message as he is slowly and surely taking over the reins from his baba, who he said is the ONLY NIRANJAN AGNIHOTRI. HE IS MAKING DECISIONS ON BEHALF OF HIS BABA. HE WAS THE ONE TO BAN ALOOS FROM AM, GETTING PERMISSION FROM BABA FOR JYOTI TO STAY BACK WHEN ABHAY WAS BOTHERING HER, PROCLAIMING HIS INTENT OF MARRYING AASTHA IN PUBLIC, DIVIDING THE HOUSE INTO TWO, THROWING HIS MOTHER OUT OF THE HOUSE, PUNISHING HER FROM HOLDING JYOTI'S BABY WHEN SHE WAS BORN, SAYING THAT GANPATHI MURTI WILL NOT COME HOME. The more loudly he proclaims that Aastha is at fault like with the spilling of oil on the steps, the more he is warning her about baba and his evilness. By calling his ayi zero, he is again telling her that she has not accomplished what he wants her to do, that his ayi is still not able to speak for herself without any prompting from Aastha.
The spiritual meaning of the Lion is the SUN AND GOLD. THE LION EVEN WHEN ASLEEP DOES NOT CLOSE ITS EYES AND THIS MEANS THAT SHLOK IS AWAKE ALL THE TIME AND IS CERTAINLY CUNNING, INTELLIGENT, STRATEGISING, WARY AND PROTECTIVE.
Aastha is the svelte and sultry lioness who has captured his heart and should and he can't help but feel her divine presence all around him, which is the embodiment of love, knowledge and acceptance. The lioness - referring to Anjali now is regal in bearing and protects her young and her pride. Anjali has always protected her children from NA's truth and has protected his pride by sacrificing her very life. As she said a few days back, she was the living dead, giving up on her dreams, aspirations and love of her children for NA's pride.
Shlok has mastered the art of patience and the art of timing as he is a hunter indeed, waiting to knock off his baba off his throne, his true prey whom he has been hunting for long and silently. Once he mastered his emotions, self control and teaching of Aastha, he curbed his love, his desire for Aastha to rise above, as what he desires ultimately is just beyond the horizon. HIS ULTIMATE GOAL IS FOR HIS MOTHER IS TAKE HER RIGHTFUL PLACE IN AM AS A WOMAN, AS A WIFE, AS A MOTHER, AS A DOTING GRANDMOTHER IN THAT ORDER. ANJALI HAD FULFILLED THE ROLE OF AN EXEMPLARY WIFE BUT THAT WAS UNDER PAIN OF BEATINGS, VERBAL ABUSE, INTIMIDATION AND LOSS OF SELF RESPECT. SHE HAS NOW REGAINED A SEMBLANCE OF SELF RESPECT, SELF CONFIDENCE AND HAS BECOME A DOTING GRANDMOTHER TO KAVYA AND A LOVING MOTHER TO JYOTI. SHE IS YET TO TRANSFORM FULLY INTO A COMPLETE WOMAN WHO IS BRAVE, INDEPENDENT, DIGNIFIED AND STANDS UP FOR THE TRUTH WITHOUT FEAR OF ANY REPERCUSSION FROM NA.
SHLOK AND AASTHA TOGETHER BRING THE MESSAGE OF BEING BRAVE AND NOBLE. BY FORCING THE DIVISION OF THE HOUSE, SHLOK HAS FORCED AASTHA INTO BRAVELY STAYING BACK IN THE HOUSE, HER REFUSAL TO LEAVE A TESTIMONY TO HER RESOLVE. ANJALI BY SIDING WITH AASTHA HAS FOUND HER AUTHENTIC VOICE AT LAST AS ONCE SHE HAS ATTAINED IT NOTHING CAN STOP HER FROM REACHING HER GOAL, HER TRUE PLACE IN THE LIVES OF HER CHILDREN AND HUSBAND. SHLOK'S PRONOUNCEMENT OF BANISHING AASTHA ALONE TO LIVE ON ONE SIDE BROUGHT PROFOUND CLARITY TO ANJALI AND ALSO POWER, POWER TO SIDE WITH THE TRUTH AS SHE SAID FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT HER HUSBAND WAS WRONG AND IS WRONG.
Shlok is indeed masked and has timed his game to perfection. Aastha is strong, brave, bold, fierce and does not back down. With Anjali by her side, she is emboldened in her quest to prove the truth. His pining and longing for Aastha and almost forgetting his ultimate prize brings him back from the brink as we recently saw in the car when he grabbed her hand, when he tore her note to pieces, tried to throw her paayal away, drank the juice that she ordered in the office for him. Anjali is the noble lioness promising Aastha that she will not bear any injustice and will also not commit any wrongdoing.
HOPE THAT SHLOK IS TRULY A LION AND THAT HE IS HUNTING HIS BABA, HOPING OUR FAITH IS RESTORED IN HIS CHARACTERIZATION.
