'The story and the cast attracted me to Jazbaa': Irrfan Khan

The cast of Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa has become very interesting. First, it was the announcement of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan making her comeback in the action-thriller post the birth of her daughter Aaradhya. Then it was John Abraham who joined the cast and now it is Irrfan. Though Abraham and Irrfan have worked with Gupta earlier, it will be the first time that the actress will be working with him.

"Everyone is writing that Irrfan is opposite Aishwarya but let me tell you that they are not opposite each other in the film. In fact, no one is opposite anyone. They are interesting characters in themselves. There are several other actors in the film whose names will be announced in due course. But yes, the main actors are Irrfan, who plays a suspended cop and Aishwarya will be seen as a lawyer. The response I got when we made the announcement was phenomenal. I didn't get that kind of feedback during Shootout At Wadala," said Gupta, who is producing and directing the film.

Though Gupta did not wish to comment, Abraham will be seen in a special role, that of a gangster. With this, the cast and the plot becomes all the more intriguing.

Shooting for Jazbaa takes off in January 2015. The actress will be seen doing some breathtaking stunts in the action film. "The story, the cast and my role is what attracted me to the film," says Irrfan.
