I read in an article a few months back that Sonali and Tabu and some others accused were present at a court hearing so maybe their case is still going on (seperately) or their judgment is already passed?

these were the new charges
Salman was charged under the Wildlife Protection act for hunting blackbucks with the Arms Act charges being dropped against him whilst the other actors were charged with blackbuck hunting, inciting Salman to hunt and unlawful assembly. If the actors are found to be guilty, they can expect to face up to 6 years in jail

Looks like they are accomplice. That's what I gather from "inciting Salman to hunt". Their trail will also take years.

It is ridiculous that a case from 1998 is still awaiting verdict. It is hard to imagine what sort of excuses could delay a case so long.

Why doesn't the Indian constitution guarantee fair and speedy trials?

"As Salman's counsel sought time to file more details in support of their plea seeking suspension of the conviction, the court adjourned the hearing and fixed the next hearing for Oct 28. "

September 5, 2014: State of Rajasthan (Petitioner) has filed a Special Leave Petition (Criminal) 5218 of 2014 (SLP), before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, challenging the order passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature for Rajasthan at Jodhpur, suspending the order of conviction passed against me by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jodhpur and confirmed by the Hon'ble Sessions Court, Jodhpur. I have filed my counter-affidavit to the SLP. The SLP was listed before Justice Mr. S.J. Mukhopadhyay and Justice Mr. P.C. Pant. My advocates appeared on my behalf.

On request of the Petitioner, the Hon'ble Court directed them to file rejoinder to my counter-affidavit within 2 weeks and further directed the matter to be listed for final disposal on October 28, 2014.

Oh ..He has been framed..he is innocent..So no punishment for him ever..How can such a harmless soul who does so much charity kill anyone?..Hope he gets evicted from all charges soon..😛
