Its been a monthhh we gt the next update.. I love ur stories. Ths update ws superb amazingg! Tensed filled yet lovely ending to the chpt. Im waiting for the next pm of urs. Thnkuuu janab!

Thank you so much for your interest and patience with the gaps in the update. I had to move half was across the globe and back in the last couple of months. That is the reason for the huge gaps in the update frequency. But I'm now back with the next one please write in and let me now how it felt!

A crisis

A crisis is a terrible thing to waste"

A very famous economist had said that at the height of the banking crisis. These were pearls of wisdom - the obvious and the intended meaning - that Raman Kumar Bhalla had absolutely no problems understanding. His personal life was different story altogether. He rarely saw the writing on the wall before it came crashing down on him. Like Shagun two timing him and eventually leaving him heart broken and little Ruhi helpless or for that matter the love that shone in Ishita's eyes for him. She for her part was awful at understanding and expressing her emotions. Between the two of them they had managed a complete hotch potch of their emotions for each other. The woman madly in love with her husband posing to be a woman who wanted " to explore womanhood" with Raman and a full blooded Punjabi who had nothing but deep seated affection and physical attraction for his awesome wife pretending to ignore her. True Raman was a man whose heart was mercilessly trampled upon by Shagun who never loved him. But there was a lot of hesitancy in his mind to lead to lead his relationship with Ishita forward. As a couple there was abundance of untapped happiness that needed just one step to come crashing into their lives.

But life being what it is for parents of 2 young kids; Raman and Ishita very rarely found time to analyze their personal situation. They were constantly running mundane errands for the extended family if they were not busy weathering of some crisis or the other. First it was amma's accident and the aftermath of Adi's reckless behaviour. Shagun using that to re-position herself as Raman's children's real mother and a confused Raman following her dikat all for Adi. Till he saw the hurt he was causing all those who were close him. Raman then did what he was most likely to do with every aspect of his life- except with his love for his wife. He walked straight into Ishita's office asked for her support and bared all the manipulation he was being subject to by Shagun using Adi as her front. Ishita was always a perfect foil for Raman - astute, intelligent and very observant and Raman the gutsy, decisive and strong man. Surely they were both very strong willed and awfully principled. There is no other trait in the manual that a couple needed to get over anything that life throws at them. Together they rode the crisis gracefully and made their family stronger. That was also how they faced Params' renewed entry into the Bhalla household and Raman's traumatic defamation over Ruhi's prebirth medical papers which was again used wrongly by Shagun and Ashok for business gains. Under Ishita's stewardship that crisis too brought Ruhi infinitely closer to Raman and the man who found it difficult to display any emotion wept in his daughter's arms when she had called him her " most favourite person" He genuinely thought he had a miracle worker for a wife.

Personally there were more at ease with each other but still far away from being man and wife. There surely was unacknowledged physical attraction and sincere affection - no more sirf Ruhi ke liye kind of affection.

Today was special Raman's family was keen on catching a movie. Ruhi sat on her Romi chahu's lap and booked tickets online for the enitre Bhalla Iyer clan. The clever cutie that she was she picked separate couple seats for her mom and dad and ensured that they were closer to the exit and far away from the family. There were benefits for her too. She decided to use the distance from Ishu to binge on chocolate cake and have a soda evening with her chachu and Shravu for company. As always the Bhallas and Iyers left for the cinema from home while they ever busy Raman Bhalla and Ishita Bhalla headed straight back from work. Ishu had a particularly demanding day that started with her 4.00am emergency call and the last tooth she dug out was at 5.45 with no time to do anything but take trips to the restroom. So when Raman offered to pick her up she was relieved as she did not fancy an hours drive to the mall for the movie.

Romi was cursing his luck at having to wait for Raman and Ishta outside the hall as they movie had almost begun. Ishu and Raman groped their way to their seats and were surprised to see the family at the far side the hall. They nodded at each awkwardly when they realised Ruhi's little trick and were excited too!

The couple settled down and it did not take Raman long to put his arm around his wife shoulders and stare at the man behind Ishu's seat who accidentally groped her bare back that was exposed above the seat. Ishu knew her Ravan Kumar would protect her and continued texting a patient from under her sari's pallu thrown over her mobile to hide it. They were well into the first 20 mins of the movie when she sent her last message. The blue light on Raman's face that was mere inches away and the warmth of his breath and body was very balmy for Ishita. Her eyelids grew heavy , she slid further into her seat and rested her head on her husband's arm. The entire audience was in raptures with something that was going on screen while Raman's body too was heaving with laughter. The smile on his face in the soft glow off the screen was the last thing her conscious mind registered before she pillowed into the crook of his neck and shoulder and started breathing his musk. Instinctively the still laughing Raman tucked her in closer while she for her part reacted to the air conditioned cold air and moved in closer to him almost entirely on his side except that shawl she had draped on her self had her shielded from public view. The movie was gripping break time was muted and Ishita was too far gone in Raman's warmth to even stir. Now that gave Raman time to stare at his beautiful sleeping wife and his family time to chuckle at them.

Ishita enjoyed her husband's stubble on her head, while he loved her softness and her warmth. His head was thereafter filled only with all the moments they had shared over the last few weeks. The accidental shower they shared in the privacy of their bathroom. The night he slept next to her on the night their bed broke and all the plotting they did to open Simmi's eyes with Param. " why can't she tell me she needs me as much as i need her?" he chided her "because she is hurt too Raman like you have been" said a faint little voice in his head. Tonight he would right that. He sent Romi a text from his phone that he would whisk her off for dinner and asked Romi to shepherd the family back home and give the couple some space.

Raman had his hand on his wife's back as they were walking out of the movie towards their car and the family had taken the other exit and they would meet at the car park thought Ishita, She noticed Mihir preening at the escalator to spot Raman she waved out at him. Mihir dashed to Raman and Isihita watched colour drain from Raman's face.He was dialing someone's number and started talking to the person, while he touched Ishita's face and pointed to Mihir to get Romi there and take Ishu home. Raman's voice was icy cool as he spoke to someone on the phone. It was obvious to Ishita from his demeanour that hell had indeed broken loose. Mihir was waiting for Romi to answer his call while Raman was heading out after waving a bye to Ishita and gesturing for Mihir to stay. Isihita would have nothing of it asked insisted that he go out with Raman. " Romi Bhabhi ko na tum" he said before Romi interjected and said jantaa hoon mihir and chuckled and disconnected while Mihir was intsructing him to take Ishita home!

Everything had changed in a matter of minutes. By the time Isitha realised that the family had left and she decided to go back into the mall from the deserted car park her phone had been grabbed from her and given a resounding thrash and she was gagged and bundled into a waiting car. Raman's Jhansi Ki Rani had gone down without a fight in quiet corner of completely full carpark. She was over powered by 3 men around her while she thought she heard a baby in the background before she fainted into someone's arm.

Raman on the other hand was driving out of the city with Mihir handing him numbers to call.

Amazingg updateee. Loved it. But wt ws the last para! Ishita being kidnapped? I ddnt get tht. Well waiting for the next part to clear my doubt!
