CHALO ... BAARISH TOH HO HI GAYI ...

It was one morning ... she had just gotten out of the shower & dressed quickly to start off her day .. while getting dressed she had a mild wardrobe malfunction ... her blouse popped a button ... a house full of members .. the only privacy she could find was within the confines of her own room ... she closed the door ... peeped at her sleeping husband & daughter & started sewing the button ...

Ishita a doctor is no stranger to the human body ... nor was she exposing herself at that juncture ... she was fully covered ... when her eyes fell on her husband .. who looked stunned at her ... she felt his unblinking stare ... a stare which kept her captive & immobile ... the moment was suspended in time ... when reality stepped in ... Reality in the name of RUHI ... Eyes which spoke a tale ... had to be covered ... the cover being ... RUHI ... But that cover was so BLOWN away ..

What was it that held these 2 captive at that moment ... It was clearly not SKIN SHOW ... but what kept them captive was the INTIMACY Of the moment ... This was a normal act for a couple ... To change or to right the clothing in front of the other ... Go to the scene after Mihir's sangeet ... she was much more exposed at that moment of time .. her undergarments were visible to him ... but at that moment ... he was correcting her ... There was NO INTIMACY TO THE ACT ...

When he applied that balm to her burning skin on that disastrous picnic trip ..he was touching her skin ...but at that point of time he was applying solace .. similar to the time she rubbed the balm on his back when he was in pain ... for a moment his mind did meander to the intimacy of the act .. but he pulled himself back & became the care giver ... hence even though there was no alternate arrangement to sleep ...Raman did not sleep on the bed ... there was no INTIMACY which existed between them ... or rather while these 2 were ready for marriage & forever .. the thot of INTIMACY had not fully crept into their consciousness

The first tinkle of intimacy is when he helps her with her sari ... As he goes to UNPIN her blouse .. he stops for a moment ... yes they were married ... but they had not been intimate ... what was a normal occurrence for a couple of UNDRESSING EACH OTHER ... was not COMMON for them ... This was them as husband & wife in a hotel room ... 6 months after their marriage ... for the first time UNDRESSING ... The IRONY of the moment .. the INTIMACY of the act in a hotel room getting to them ... What did not happen on their honeymoon happened at that moment ...

INTIMACY ... the thing after TRUST which holds a couple together & the first step of INTIMACY is .. AWARENESS ...

Have u ever given this a thot ... Raman whenever there is a problem manages to keep it away from Ishita .. similarly Ishita manages to keep her problems away from Raman ... While they are always working to help the other .. they do not work together ... Case in point Ishita bringing Param back ... Did u ever wonder why she did not speak to Raman before she did this act ...??

Cause while they acknowledge the fact that they are in a marriage which is forever , while both have openly declared that they cared for the other, while in their hearts they know they were made for each other , while they are aware that they love each other , what they do not have is INTIMACY, they have never been able to keep themselves bare in front of the other ...

Raman cried for help to her during the Adi incident ... & she cried for help to him during her license incident .. & therein started the intimacy of their marriage ... they have started to BARE themselves in front of the other ...

So while the gaffur tailor act got to both of them & the confused mind tried to find answers in between the "DEKHA DEKHA" convo, they for the moment decided to let the SLEEPING GIANT lie & tried to cover the INTIMACY ... both gifted each other with a COVER UP ... since the erstwhile cover up of "SIRF RUHI KE LIYE" had gone Bust .. the new cover up of BATHROBE & EYE MASK was introduced ...

But that cover was blown apart too ... in a glittering function where to her it was proved .. what he could SACRIFICE for her ... & to him it was proved to what lengths she would go FOR HIM ... they were married .. they were acknowledging their marriage ... They were now ready for INTIMACY ... They both took the step which was needed to COME OUT OF THE COVER ... he offered her the eye mask back .. she gave back the bathrobe ... THESE TWO DID NOT NEED ANY COVERS ANYMORE ... this was a marriage ... & they were ready to HONOUR EACH & EVERY VOW of their marriage ... STARTING WITH INTIMACY ...

As we watched the Tuesday episode .. what of course stole the show for maximum people was the precap ... but the most telling scene in that episode was once again played out between the couple in the confines of their bedroom

A man talking to his wife ... The disgust of what he had let transpire ...

Note his dialogs ... He says ... " I have never let a man ever even misbehave with my sister & today I have had to let Param enter my house & stay with her"

What happens between a man & a woman in the bedroom? he has knowingly let his sister sleep with the enemy. He has openly permitted INTIMACY between a rapist & his sister & that's the thot which is eating away at Raman. A thot which Ishita realizes, She calls him her Nariyal Kumar

But what captures her heart is the VALUE to INTIMACY between a couple that Raman placed , tie this up with his dialog in the pub "we are all married ... ONLY SEEING NO TOUCHING ... To him INTIMACY is the BIGGEST FORM OF EXPRESSION OF HIS LOVE ... TOnite hidden in-between that conversation on Simmi ... was this couples first talk of INTIMACY ...

Pause & see the next shot ... they both have tears in their eyes .. at first he is hesitant to show her his tears ... but water has a way of finding its path ... he laid himself bare ... They looked into each others eyes ... For a long long time ... another conversation happening in that eye lock & it ends with a shy smile from both of them ... they both acknowledged that there was no need for any COVERS between them ... He showed her his SOFT INNER SELF ... she showed him how deeply SHE CAN GIVE FOR HIM ...

Now when u look at this scene with this lens ... does it not completely woo u

They say the first step of togetherness in marriage is Intimacy ... & the first step towards Intimacy is AWARENESS

Tip Tip Barsa paani ... paani mein aag lagi ...

It was an evening of fun & celebration .. she walked in a delicate pink lace sari ..& he was lost ..a bolt of lighting struck him dumb that day ... the lighting called love .. by the end of the day he declared his love infront of all to see .. when he chose her & described her as his IDEAL WOMAN .. he proclaimed love for her to his erst while flame ...

At the same function when he stood there dumb struck being hit by the bolt of lighting she told him ... BIJLI toh GIR hi chuki ..kahin baarish na ho jaaye ...

While she was happy to see the love he had for her .. what she was not ready for was the Baarish ... the PASSION

As he stood there, he too said ... " aise lagti rahe toh baarish bhi zaroor ho gi" ... he acknowledged to himself that day ... there was PASSION which could brew between the 2 ... a passion which as off now WAS HELD AT BAY ...

They both stood there & between them stood RUHI ... their cover ... it was easier at that time to keep the passion in check & bring back the cover ... SIRF RUHI KE LIYE ...

But then one day ... it rained ... They were caught up in a shower & this time there was no cover ... no bathrobe .. no ruhi ..no eye mask ... passion overflowed .. it was there for both of them to see ... It shone thru both their eyes ...

And since they each promised the other .. NO MORE COVER .. they quietly retreated ... both with a smile on their face ... a tingle in their heart & a bounce in their step ...

Suddenly the world looked a brighter place .. suddenly the world looked a ROSIER place 😉

The OTHER WOMAN ...

Shagun ... I would ask u to pause a moment recollect about the other woman .. SHAGUN .. I did 2 posts last week on her .. " a tale of 2 women" & Suraksha Chakra" both was to highlight that Shagun was a SELFISH WOMAN ... last week I had asked u ... this story has ... THE GOOD THE BAD & THE UGLY ... most of u focused on Ashok & Param in the bad & ugly department ... Take a moment & think now of course there are bad people in this tale ... BUT WHO IS THE UGLIEST OF THEM ALL???

SHAGUN ... a woman who prides herself on her beauty ... a woman who used her beauty to not only gain but destroy .. a narcissist ... someone who can SACRIFICE her OWN CHILD to attain a PERSONAL GOAL ... Did u never wonder why Shagun was shown as the PHYSICALLY PERFECT ... BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ... & ISHITA was shown as a pretty girl next door ... ??

From the first interaction of the leads in this serial we have seen Raman speaking about how UGLY ... Ishita is ... Take a pause here & mull on this ... I can explain this to u ... but naaa ... Think about it & do share ur version of this ... the moment u figure this one out ... u like me will fall in love with the writer of the show ... the deep thot .. the deep contrast is what takes my breath away whenever I see this serial ... U will actually love these scenes far more .. & whats more u will appreciate these scenes far more ... the writer of this show has taken the route of CONTRAST as a narrative to us ... & they have done full justice to it ... KUDOS GUYS ...

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

OKAY promise last segment ... ugh do my posts look like one of Ishita's lectures .. going on & on ... ;)

This next section of the post is an answer to a post I read (on the phone) from YHMLOVER ... could not reply then .. hence thot of adding the reply here ... SHE HAD THE MOST VALID QUES ... why did shagun first give the file & then was uncomfortable about the plan ...

Give it a moments thot connect the dots ... here it is, she gave the report to Ashok of course wanting to harm Raman ... she needs to assert herself & prove herself to Suraj, hence giving the much needed ammunition to trump Raman ...

Now what she thot was the report in itself is damaging ... her thot is he chose wife over KID ... the campaign is for SAVE THE GIRL CHILD .. what Ashok & Suraj are doing to the tale is TWISTING IT .. they are going to spin a FALSE HOOD ... Here is a woman ... she is mother ofcourse .. the moment the story is twisted & spoken that it would be taken to the media .. she hesitates ... as a mother ... but whenever there is a BATTLE of SHAGUN the WOMAN & SHAGUN the MOTHER .. the WOMAN will always win ... because ...SHAGUN is SELFISH ... To get what she wants - ASHOK KHANNA .. Shagun has sacrificed every relation that she has had .. the only one LEFT is ADITYA ... J FOOD FOR THOT right ...

But since it is dumb blondes of the world reuniting ... they keep forgetting one major thing ... ISHITA RAMAN BHALLA IS A DOCTOR ... 😳 maybe a non medical approach would get better success rate ..( ugh don't think so)

BUT BUT BUT ... VILLAINS & VAMPS BEWARE ... the only problem with a LIE is that it can be PROVEN WRONG the dumb blonde brothers once again jumped the gun .. Ashok seriously has a premature happiness' problem ;)

Ruby apologies to edit so late to begin with, next brilliant post as always.

To get down to business now... while the editing department it seems will always be a grouse that I would hold responsible for a slacky job on the show I continue to follow it for the writing and acting - in that order.

I have been noticing of late there have been instances in IshRa' life that have been forcing them to pay attention to one aspect of their life and a marriage that they have so far avoided - intimacy.

The build-up for the same was initiated when Raman accidentally collided with Ishita causing her hand the injury that put her out of action for a while. The very first day after the incident - Mihika comes in and teases them as Raman is helping Ishita brush her teeth by saying why doesn't he help her shower - a jest which was lightly discarded. It was followed by an awkward moment when he unknowingly barged in their room to see his mom helping his wife dress - she was wholly covered in this instance too - but it was awkward to say the least for them to have him walk in on such a moment of hers.

They had little moments during the time - as he fed her, tried to help do her hair but it was all done with affection that hid behind guilt and taunts from his end. None of these moments had them pondering over the growing emotional proximity cos by now they had considered it a given and an unspoken conclusion was reached - there is care in this relationship - unacknowledged openly but felt nonetheless.

And as this relationship deepened - it was finally time to push some envelopes, open some unventured avenues...

Like I said writing then acting - usually writers of a show are so hell bent on showing a couple being attracted sometimes they forget a relationship cant survive on attraction alone and likewise sometimes the writers build a couple' emotional connect so wonderfully they neglect the physical aspect making it seem to the viewer they might as well be monks living in a shrine sharing a roof.

Here in what has to be a first instance in my opinion (in my experience of the shows I have followed) - the writers brilliantly and cleverly used this plot device of Ishita' broken hand to gain grounds on both - emotional and physical aspects of this couple - because how else can a marriage be complete?

You have already mentioned how the accident track got them to take the first step towards the emotional intimacy that thawed away the obligations in this marriage when supporting the other, standing with that person wasn't done for the sake of it - nor could it be labeled as Sirf Ruhi Ke Liye followed by the licence track.

A marriage is the culmination of two hearts and bodies - like the lyrics of this show' title track go - Do Haseen Tan- Man Ka Yeh Haseen Bandhan Hai - this is the bond of two beautiful bodies and hearts... how brilliantly and wonderfully they have given prominence to the sexual side of a marriage too.. that it is ultimately a bond where you share not only your happiness and sorrows, your fears and joys but yourself as well.

you have good and bad times and your family always by your side in those times even if the world and when the world doesn't stand by you... there are also sometimes those lucky who find friends - true ones at that, who stand by them in their hour of need as much as their joys... which is the case with IshRa - both have amazing, loving families who stood by them when their relationships fell apart - they each have a friend and confidante in Mihir and Bala, with whom they have shared tears and laughter alike...

But ultimately what sets a marriage apart is the intimacy that you can share with only your partner - a yearning that you feel for them and only them...

In the era of Emraan Hashmi and glorified consummation scenes on TV - one would think sex is only a way to satiate the body, to scratch an itch done while some lovely music is playing in the background.

But that is not all there is to it - yes its a stress buster, a method of relaxation, exercise and release but, BUT it is also a way to connect with someone, to express your love for them - to worship the person in a way that lets them know how very much you need them and crave them ... ever wonder why is it that consummation is considered the final step - because it is the point where you are left with practically nothing that you feel and find appropriate to describe your feelings to someone, to convey what they mean to you... the only way you can let someone know they mean the world to you is by baring yourself to them - by wanting to kiss and caress every inch of them to let them see how very much you adore them.

The way IshRa subtly and deftly were maneuvered into even discussing this aspect with a comic touch makes me want to tip my hat to the CV's - from Raman landing at Ishita' assistant' home and finding him getting some action and relaying the news of the same to the same day them walking in on MiMi and assuming things are happening because a car, a stationary car was shaking. 😆

Note how Raman had then ran off blaming Ishita for his dirty thoughts too - the man obviously got affected MORE than he let on by an innocent, involuntary act which stirred things in him.

Then came the point of the party - where as you rightly pointed out - it finally hit him in the moment he was about to unpin - what is he about to do... her implicit trust in him and knowing him to be a decent man along with the subconscious realization it is her husband who is about to touch her let her keep her calm - while it riled him up.

Yet there was this undercurrent of tension and attraction that existed between them always which first cropped up on a rainy day too - when he walked up to her and offered her his coat, though in keeping his limits and bounds he hung it on a branch of the tree under which she took refuge.

But in enmity it was laid aside, ignored and not met with until he had a brush with a side of his wife he never even imagined in his dreams - when she wore the green dress and happily pirouetted in it too though not making it too obvious, but was lost in banter for a while until she came close to him, closer than ever before while sewing a button and he was forced to look away and then it was cast aside in a battle of one upmanship... it was next again tackled with the blue dress where they found themselves in an intimate, compromising pose and had to stay so...

It could though no longer be ignored when the moment happened - Bijli Giri - and for the first time both of them acknowledged the sparks they always tried to brush aside and discard as nothing.

Yet they were hiding - from each other and themselves till then.

The time to hide for him came when he saw her in an intimate act where he was forced to acknowledge that try as he might he can't and is not indifferent to his wife - as a woman, as a beautiful woman at that who he is attracted too even when he vehemently chose to deny it.

The gifts were given - a robe to hide and an eye mask for cover - the one who needed to hide gave the robe, the one who wasn't technically exposed yet needed the cover gave the mask.😳

However that myth had to be shattered, that cover blown when neither could hide their growing feelings where one could sacrifice for the other without a moment' thought and the other would step in to protect and defend - proclaiming ownership in a way and hence the need to hide or cover was futile and useless - since things couldn't be clearer even if they tried.

What made their convo by the window the one where they discussed intimacy beautiful in a way to me was that it showed how very much as a man Raman respects and honors it especially in a marriage which is rare for men - the various accusations and jokes about his manhood answered in such a manner that they made you want to respect him as a human being and a man, as a husband.

What though was still unacknowledged was how Ishita as a woman, a wife - who had finally come to terms with the fact the man she is married to, while she has accepted him as her husband, her partner and doesn't see him only as the father of her daughter felt towards Raman the man.

The scene in the shower has him push her towards the shower - notice how it is she who first gets drenched even when he is covered in suds was basically to awaken and make Ishita acknowledge that as a woman she is attracted to the man who is her husband ... that she craves him just as much as he does ...and in accepting it to herself, she had to accept it in front of him too...

They had to look at each other in a new light where they could see their longing and desires clearly - since his acknowledgement had already begun and since as a man he is faster to admit to the needs of his body even if he had to indulge in a battle with himself - he was almost naked - barely covering his modesty while she whose journey has finally begun in this regard - was wholly covered but got drenched.

Ruby, your post finally did what the entire visual treat could not ... It brought goosebumps ☺️ ... I seriously should stop asking how do you write so well ... because I think it is an insult in itself ... I should just shut up and drown in the wonderful aura of your post.

Intimacy ... bang on ... one word describes their changed dynamics so perfectly ... as you have aptly described, intimacy is an integral part in a married couple's life. In fact, this is what makes this relationship take precedence over any other important relation. And by intimacy, it is not only the physical intimacy but the mental intimacy as well which counts. While, at some level, these two have displayed mental intimacy by reading each others mind like an open book, or supporting each other via their actions, physical intimacy is an unexplored zone for them.

I so agree to your conversation about Simmi. I had actually admired KP during that scene because he really looked like a brother in distress. A brother who will go to any means to make sure that his sister is safe and sound, and yet circumstances made him offer her to a rapist ... it will kill any brother.

However, I admit I did not think it the way you have portrayed it. It makes me feel like watching this scene one more time and I promise to do that as soon as I reach home today. Mental Intimacy. Brilliant analysis.

Now comes the most awaited part between them .. something which has made the entire forum including me go crazy 😳... physical intimacy. Again, as aptly described, the beginning of physical intimacy is awareness and it is something which acts as an integral part of married life.

Awareness is actually a ladder of steps each of which act as a prequel for the next one.

1. First Step is awareness of someone else and its subsequent impact in one's life.

2. Second Step is self-acknowledgement of this awareness. I have explictly mentioned it separately because many a times, even when two people are aware of each other, they do not acknowledge it due to various circumstances. Something which they have been doing for some time now.

3. The third and the final step which is undoubtedly the most difficult one is the acknowledgement of the first two steps in front of each other, for each other.

With the shower scene yesterday, the first step of the ladder was climbed .. the water from the shower dissolved whatever masks of inhibitions they had donned till now. No Ruhi. No eye mask, no bathrobe, absolutely nothing .. only pure desire between a man and his woman. No wonder, it pushed both of them into unfamiliar territory where they were forced to explore long forgotten emotions which had been locked in the depth of their hearts.

I humbly accept that when it comes to conversations, I belong to the old school who prefer the language of silence way more than words ... there is a different charisma and aura when two sets of eyes interact with each other. In my view, sometimes, our gestures, expressions and most importantly, our eyes are able to convey way more than what we can ever do via words ... that is what made me love the follow up scene more than the shower scene yesterday.

There was no dialogue in the follow up scene ... Rather, their eyes also never met each other directly ... they interacted via the mirror ... yet they took the second and third step of this ladder via the silent convesation ... in that particular moment, both of them had not only acknowledged their changed dynamics and but were fully aware of its impact on each other as well ... an extremely foreign territory for them ... no wonder ... they were unable to look directly into each other's eyes ...as they acted as a mirror to their emotions .. subtle yet beautiful.

Now that they have tasted the forbidden fruit, it will be interesting to watch as life pushes time and again into this foreign territory .. and they are forced to explore and acknowledge this new found desire for each other.

Honestly, after reading such a beautiful part, the eternal romantic in me wants to ignore the Shagun part as if it was not written ... yet, as I have mentioned earlier, you are a gem of a writer ... so I fall in your trap one more time ... Arrghh ... the romantic in me hates you right now 😡.

OK ... comparison between Shagun and Ishita ... let me compare them by giving examples

Belladonna .. deadly nightshade ... to enlighten others, The name "bella donna" is derived from Italian and means "beautiful woman" because the herb was used in eye-drops by women to dilate the pupils of the eyes to make them appear seductive. It is a plant whose berries pose the greatest danger to human beings especially to children because they look attractive and have a somewhat sweet taste.
The consumption of two to five berries by a human adult is probably lethal. In fact, it was even used to make poisonous tip arrows in ancient times. A slow poison enough to attract the innocent in the beginning yet has catastrophic results eventually. -- Shagun

I remember reading in textbooks that Diamond is the purest form of carbon and is one of the strongest material on this earth ... carbon which is jet black ... you need to heat it, mold it and only then its inner beauty comes out ... a diamond which enlightens everything from its shine and is one of the strongest material on this earth. -- Ishita.

Thats it ... the romantic is me is at loggerheads with my philosophical side 😡... and it is winning ... I do not want to talk about Shagun now ... may be next time ... in one of your other thread.

Till then ... as I said last time, Brilliant as always. Keep them coming.

loved ur post. For any marriage to be successful u just don't need to bare ur body but ur soul too. 😊
Ya Ishita is termed as pretty girl next door, he once said I don't want perfect ek baar shade ki thi aur natija bhi pata hai , indirectly saying that whatever ishita is he likes her that way, thodi si moti, thodisi nakchadi cute si 😆

n u have wonderfully explained of the mother in Shagun and selfish woman in her. 👏

AH such an amazing post. I didn't want it to get over. You write so beautifully, that it enthralls me. As enthralled as IshRa were today.

Intimacy is body and soul both. And to reach an intimacy for both, you need to break a lot of barriers and take many steps in a relation, just as IshRa have. They can depend on each other, trust each other, understand the other. But as you said sacrificing something of your own for the other proves a lot of what you can't express in words. Ishita and Raman have realized overtime that the BOTH of them can give up on themselves for the other, And that has nothing to do with Ruhi. And thats exactly why they forcefully made up a reasoning including Ruhi in it after Raman regained his position..just so that they could continue to pretend that what they did or would do was for Ruhi. But both knew what a big facade it was. With that wall and lies crumbling down too obviously the intimacy body and soul has to trigger, and from the hook scene itself, it has begun. Raman's smile and Ishita's blush today was a hint of their acceptance of it.

I didn't see the whole Ishita Raman conversation the way you say it now. But you're right. It is actually really obvious. Letting Simmi stay with Param is an insult to her. They are husband and wife, but the man is not man enough, he's a criminal and someone who does not value and respect a woman. What made Ishita tear up has to be the respect Raman gave to marriage, and the relation a husband and wife share.

The good bad and ugly connection really has me intrigued. I've put a lot of thought into it. And I think it means that the perception of all three are different for everyone. The good and bad is clear here, the comparison is between the ugly and beautiful. The woman with a perfect face, best clothes of the best brands, everything a person would call beautiful, but is nothing but ugly from within. She's the real definition of ugly. And the woman whose just a simple looking, plane jane as some men put it is selfless, giving, big hearted, and has a soul that is beautiful.

P.S - I DO NOT see Ishita or Divyanka as plane Jane 😆 ; just clearing it right away.
