Part-16
When Randhir's parents, Harsh and Renuka; Kaustuki and her husband were in attendance. Randhir cleared his throat and commanded with his eyes in a manner that everybody present smiled as he took Sanyukta's hand and made her stand next to him. Randhir wrapped his arm around her waist. Renuka shared a knowing look with Harsh.
"We're marrying in Bali next month" Randhir announced and pecked Sanyukta's lips lightly, before facing everybody.
Kaustuki smiled the brightest and excitedly jumped of the couch only to be saved by her husband from tripping over along with her baby bump. Harsh congratulated the couple while Renuka sat down with her arms crossed across her chest.
"This won't do, Randhir" Renuka spoke
"I know it's difficult for you but we're counting on your blessings" Sanyukta almost tried to reason with Renuka
"I'm not unhappy about the marriage, Sanyukta. I'm unhappy about the wedding location. I will not have my son and daughter-in-law getting marrying in an chapel" Renuka spoke
Sanyukta sighed a breath of relief and held Randhir's hand for support.
"I've reserved a resort it's not some chapel" Randhir tried defending himself
Renuka looked none too pleased, Randhir squeezed Sanyukta's hand in assurance
Renuka declared, "It's going to be in Udaipur, at the Udaipur villas and that's final"
"But we have it on our convenience of our work schedules " Randhir again defended, "And we have a conference planned there as well"
Renuka and Harsh face palmed as they heard him say this, Was he really serious working before marriage, They thought.
Lookin at his parents, "The conference will last only 2 days then we'll have marriage and then we'll be leaving for honeymoon" Randhir continued explaining, "I'll be taking everyone on my expenses, Everything's planned"
"I'll have my baby" Kaustuki exclaimed
"We'll take care of that as well" Randhir assured her
"No Change it to Udaipur or I won't come" Renuka was now adamant
Sanyukta squeezed his hand and assured him about this, "Then I guess we've to replan" Randhir spoke
Hearing him say that Renuka hugged her son hard and kissed Sanyukta's forehead in happiness.
"Mom you're so adamant, You always get what you wish" Randhir spoke defeated
"Son, I'm your mother it's natural to have similar genes as you" Renuka smiled and elbowed Sanyukta who giggled hearing her taunt her son
"Will you be by my side, Kaustuki?" Sanyukta asked Kaustuki softly
"Of course, I'll be by your side" Kaustuki hugged Sanyukta from far with her baby bump between them
"And I want you to be my Best man" Randhir told his dad
"I'm the best man in the family, my son. Ask Renuka!" Harsh exclaimed
Renuka glared at Harsh and all shared a laugh.
Harsh then got champagne, everyone raised the toast in name of the new couple. Kaustuki fetched herself a glass of water, though.
"You two have been given a gift that you must cherish each day of your lives together. You must argue to let each other know you care and then must make up later to keep your love alive" Harsh told the couple
Randhir wrapped his arm around Sanyukta and kissed her gently, "It took me too long to find her to lose her again"
"And one more thing" Renuka said, " When you're not producing those shows of yours, then I expect you to be producing me another grandchild"
Randhir winked at sanyukta, "We'll keep that in mind. But you'll have to wait"

Sanyukta stood at a higher platform whose stairs lead to a beautiful mandap, draped with beautiful curtains dawned in pink with orchids cluttered at each corner. It's elegant bronze gold finished poles held the marvellous structure in its place. It was the night which heaves awaited to witness when he would vow to be hers, with his heart. The witness being the innumerable guests wearing sophisticated outfits, ready to bless the couple on their d-day. The whole atmosphere dawned a royal look. The water in the lake shimmered as the reflection from the lights danced on it. The arrangements were perfectly done, colour for the day being royal blue and soft gold, the scheme played well as chosen by Renuka herself.
The magical moment was no less than a beautiful dream come true for Sanyukta as she walked down the stairs with Kaustuki. Her outfit a blend of peacock blue and gold from the brilliant Sabyasachi himself. The intricate gold work over the brocade threads presented her no less than the princess herself. Her neck embraced a delicate piece of emeralds with gold and sapphires adorning her neck line. She looked like a delicate replica of the royal aura brought down just for the night. Kaustuki helped her sit next to Randhir who looked no less than the prince himself. His off white sherwani gave his everyday handsome look a better stroke. His eyes holding a darker shade of brown, showing his nervousness. She sat down and smiled at him. He took her hand into his as their fingers entwined.
"Are you ready, Sanyukta?" He whispered in her ears softly
"Ready to be my prince's princess" she winked at him

As the ceremony commenced, at final call the priest pronouncing them as husband-wife. Randhir held Sanyukta's hand and announced that he wishes to say something to his bride.
Sanyukta looked towards Renuka who in return looked astonished as her. But when Randhir gave a light squeeze to her hand, she looked his way and gave him her full attention.
He cleared his throat but his gaze never left hers,
"There have been only a few times I've been honestly surprised, Sanyukta. But you've surprised since the day I met you. I wasn't expecting that I would be standing here with you now, but 'm glad I am"
He paused and touched her face with reverence. "I realise I'm not good at expressing my feeling, and that's why I want everyone to know that I love you, and I always will."
Their trance was broken by the sniffs coming from Kaustuki standing beside Sanyukta, but her very own eyes had tears falling down as well...
"I love you too, Randhir"
Without waiting for anything, Randhir kissed her to a round of applause, and Harsh shouting
"Let's get on with the celebration"

They stood there as the guests kept coming and congratulating the newlyweds.
"You could have warned me you were going to say all those wonderful things" Sanyukta whispered nearing Randhir's ears
"I wanted to say it and I have something else to tell you, too."
Sanyukta wasn't certain if she could handle anymore shocks for the thrilling day she already had, "Is it good news?"
"We've nailed the deal. The conferences was all praises for us"
"Seriously? I can't believe it"
"Believe me" He ran his hand across her waist and grabbed her closer, with his ultimate intention to assault her neck right there. As Randhir lingered kisses over neck. She wasn't sure of anything at the moment, other than the people were beginning to stare,
"I think we've spectators" Sanyukta whispered slightly
He lifted his head and smiled, "Fine, I can wait"
i think i'm the second one...
