Suspect: Serial Killer not known
Motive: Mental problem otherwise many theories
Characters:
1. Ms. Dipika Gosh: Acting Head, Special Squad. The higher officials decide that Special Squad needs streamlining. There have been many complaints about them like they don't follow rules and reports are not properly submitted. So Dipika is ordered to have all the paper work of all cases completed until which no new cases will be taken up.
2. Tandon Family: The first family which was killed.
3. Sharma Family: The second in series of the serial killer
4. Sen Family: The third family that was killed by the serial killer.
5. Mr. Dhaamle: Inspector. He was the police officer who had handled the serial killing case. Paralysed and memory loss. But for half hour everyday his memory would be back. He was the one who gave the evidence that during the third killing, there was no music playing in the house. Which was weird, because serial killers follow the same pattern of killing always.
6. Caretaker: Inspector Dhaamle's helper, who was taking care of him.
7. Ms. Neeta Sharma: Survivor of the Sharma family. Eldest daughter. She was staying in the hostel during her family murder. Due to the shock she had become mentally unstable and is in the asylum.
8. Mr .Nitin Tandon/ Mr. Rakesh Tandon: Survivor of the Tandon family. Eldest son
9. Ms. Reema: Nitin's girl friend. On the night of the Tandon Family, Nitin's alibi was that he was with his girl friend.
10. Mr. Pankaj Sen: Survivor of the Sen Family. Eldest son. Working in a firm in Dubai.
11. Mr. Ramesh Mulchandani: Proprieter of a firm. He had meet Nitin in a party a year ago.
12. Dr. Siddhu: Pshychoanalyst who had treated Nitin when he was six. Nitin had some mental issue related to holi.
Killer: Nitin Tandon
Cause of Death: Stabbing
Motive:
Nitin was six, when during Holi festival he was sexually abused by a man. He had actually gone with the man assuming him as his father, as his face was all covered in colors.
The incident had scared Nitin very much and he started to be shut out from the world. When his father came to know about it, he did not take Nitin's problem seriously and forced Nitin to mingle with other children like a normal child.He had also started to beat up Nitin in due course.
This made Nitin hate his father and family who did not support him.
So during holi festival, he had gone to his hostel with his girl friend Reema. He had prepared a special dosage of drugs and gave it to Reema, which would make her unconscious for hours. Then he came home killed his family. Then he took them to the dining table, served them food and applied holi colors on their face.
Naturally Nitin became the suspect for killing his family. So to escape from the police line of investigation, he targeted the Sen and the Sharma families. He had been their insurance agent and knew about their family system.
He killed the Sharma family on Mahaveer Jayanthi festival day and the Sen family on Id. He then arranged the same settings as he had killed his family, placed them in the dining table with food served and applied holi colors on their faces.
Thus he had spread the thought of serial killing, which the police believed.
