absurd lows is right.
his atheism is much admired by me too. i have pondered those things too, especially the role of organised religion in anything.
i see in him a simple matter of fact facing of life as he sees it to be. and in the way he acts, his conscience, his sense of duty there's more faith belief god than i have seen in many.
i liked the fact that he lets others do their thing while clearly stating he does not believe. only in his first conversation with khushi at the dargah a mention of his disillusionment, and then that irritated challenge to her belief when she insists he is wrong...
i enjoyed the theist and the atheist finding their way to love and to living together letting each other do their own thing.
and found it most interesting that the guy with all the signs of being "good" in our culture including expressed theism was the fraud while the individualistic rather westernized man with many traits of "bad" including expressed atheism was the real deal. the message of a new man in him for our audiences i thought he was... a man whose time has come.
i have a feeling there was a writer there fed up with certain things and when he found asr he had to express his pov all the way... but oh that asr survived the world where heroes must do pooja path... that was really a lot to do with bday boy i yam thinging.
