Debate: Is Ekta Evil or a Business Tycoon

Note: A little bit change is made over here. The thing is here we are going to debate whether Ekta Kapoor, entrepruner, should be put into the caegory as a business woman who entertains us or an "Evil." If most people support her, then she will be considered as an entertainer. On the other hand, if most people tell us that she is evil or some sort of retarded we will then declare her as evil. So here are some rules for the debate:

1. Positive comments on Ekta = 1 point
2. Negative comments on Ekta = 1 point
3. If one person catergorize Ekta on both views, then we will count two points on either side.

Debate End Date: July 15th 2007! Watch out this space for the winner of July 15th or July 16th!

MY OPINION:
Hey Guys,

I am here to share one thing that I'd been trying to share for such a long time. Look, we guys always blame Ekta for either some illogical depiction on TV or her changing actors/actress, and for many other reasons. For example, people are always yelling that I will kill Ekta, I hate Ekta for making Tripti to slap Baa, I will kill Ekta for ending Kahin to Hoga, I hate her for killing Cezannne Khan and introducing a new-face of Anurag! People, keep one thing in mind she has tried to entertain us. She does not only care about entertaining us, but also tries to keep her shows on top according to TRP. Apparently, this is true, Ekta Kapoor's serials always top if you look at daily TRP ratings chart. No matter how much we blame her shows, still her shows are on highs. In fact, we remember each and every episode of her. We watch her shows and discuss about them over here at India-forums about it everyday. So why threaten ekta? She is just trying to make entertain us or let's say it's out big time-pass?

So any views on that? But again, please keep in mind we should not threaten her. If we don't like anything, we could just suggest her to do this and that or whatever suggestion you got. We should be thankful to her that she has easily drawn our attention to her serials gradually with her tremendous hard work!

Note: I am really not a fan of hers but I respect her work and her talent of creativity they she put on her shows!

Agreed.Personally, Ekta shouldn't be blamed for any of this. She is just trying to entertain us. And these are just Soaps, not real-life stories. Besides, she just wants her shows on Top, as you said above, afjmzz, by collecting TRP's. I said earlier in one post, that we shouldn't blame her, for all this. Well, if anyone else dosen't, I still agree with you afjmzz. Whtever you have said is very true. And, thats how i feel too. I'm neither a fan of Ekta, nor a enemy. But, we should all just appreciate her work. If not work, maybe you could appreciate her for putting such lovely Characters in the show that we like. For Example; Pulkit Samrat as Lakshya, many people love him. Mouni Roy as KT, many people love her. Akashdeep Saigal as Eklavya, many people are crazy after him. These characters that we all like so much, are all chosen by Ekta. So, if it wasn't for her, we would have never gotten to see Eku, Laksh, or Kt, as these actors, it could have been someone else, instead of these. So guys, please appreciate her work. She is just trying to make us entertained.😊

You know , the thing is...Ekta's serial's all turn superficial after the first 50 or so episodes, wht used to happen in kyunki n kahani 5-6 years ago was very much true n acceptable n thoroughly entertaining..but now, after so many years of the same serial, its hardly believable some of the things that happen and agreed its just a serial, but many people actually get affected by it..anyways, she has done a great job as an enterpenuer, but her writers and directors, i dont think have stood upto the level...

Cookitty_23 again..as we already said that it's a soap not a real-life thing..and as you said earlier before there were realities..and yet now even she adds some fakeness, kggk still tops according to TRP? but you are saying its not acceptable so are you saying the TRP ratings is fake?? no..u shud accept that fact too! :D

No comments about who should be blamed and why.
But I truly feel that as an audience, I don't care for TRP's, and even how well a movie does in a box office.
I know Ekta is smart and a millionaire in her early thirties; and I highly respect her for that. She is the epitome of a strong woman and yet has worked hard to achieve all that levels.
Let's face it! I don't want my young to watch a show with a guy or girl getting married four times, girls having illegitimate kids, husbands and wives cheating on their respective mates and rape fantasies and have a perspective that this is what is real cool in society today.
Don't compare TRP's to an individual's outlook towards a certain matter.

i agree but the thing is is that she repeats the story in each drama and it gets boring cuz its really predictable and it is annoying to be like omg i kno wut is gonna happen bcuz u already saw it in another of her dramas. I am thankful to her for the entertainment but it just annoying to see the same thing over and over again.

but yuvi_ashi..no matter how much she repeats the stories..yet the TRPs of her serials are high ! :D

but i hate ekta for separating Karan&Nandini is kyunki again & again,her each serial hav a same story line,she completely ruins Karan&Nandini's character,their love,she knws that most of the audience want to see KN's love story but she still ignores KN's character a lot,isiliye i hate that ekta soooooooooooooo much!

Firstly one thing i have learnt is that viewers have alot of love for characters but like you said threatening her is not good 😆

Now i am a big fan of ektas for having great actors, serials being a great business women and looking after her company , people withing people got to realise she at young age has acheived alot..she knows what shes doing 😳
