Part 3:

Rey enters bb court holding umbrella. Kriya was still sitting there on the bench. Rey, for the first time was nervousness to talk to a girl. But composing himself he goes near kriya

Rey : what are you doing here?

Kriya looks at him and says "please Reyansh not now. Leave me alone". Rey definitely didn't expect this response from kriya. Kriya's words directly hit his ego.

Rey : I am not hear to give you a company in this rain madam. Keep your attitude to yourself. I am just here because (he pauses unknowingly when kriya looks at him. Those crystal clear eyes of her, looked more expressive with tears in them. Yes she was silently sobbing in rain. Though it was heavily raining, one could make out looking at her eyes, she was crying.) Rey forgot what he was saying, gone his ego clash and nervousness. He immediately sits beside kriya on the same bench holding umbrella for both.

"What happened kriya?(it was almost a whisper but kriya could hear him. How can she not hear him or understand his concern for her, when she all these months did was to try and understand him. Not only his words but his actions too. Though he never spoke to kriya, never spared a look towards her but she always observed his body language whenever he was around her and tried to understand his nature, his different moods in different situations.)

But suddenly rey ignoring her all these months flashed in her mind. Kriya stands up and tells him to go from there. Rey gets angry and feels insulted. But her eyes, the pain and tears filled eyes makes him control his anger for the first time.

Rey : listen don't think that I am here for you okay? I am standing and tolerating you at the moment is only to stop other students bad mouth towards me. Do you even realize, your this drama is making people blame me right now?

Kriya wipes her eyes and says : ohhh so the great reyansh singhaniya is here to save his reputation in the college?

Rey clutches his hands tightly forming fists to control his outburst because shaking her and putting some sense into her is the last thing he wants in that situation. She was already in a worst condition. So controlling his emotions and anger

"You can think whatever you want. I really don't care. I just want you to stop all this your drama"

"Do you really think I am sitting under this kind of heavy rain and crying, just to create a scene? Or to make people blame you?" (Wipes her tears roughly. Kriya was unable to digest rey's words. Out of all people, it was rey who was blaming her. She didn't expect him to come and talk to her but such rude words from him definitely broke her heart)

Rey steps near her just to cover her with umbrella and holding her upper arm tightly with his other hand says "listen I don't care if you create any scene in the college and I don't even care about people's unreasonable comments on me based on your actions. Today if I am standing here and talking to you is only on humanity grounds. I felt bad seeing you sitting under rain like a statue for this long. I felt may be something serious has happened with you"

Kriya cuts his words, wiping her tears smiles and asks "really? You really felt like that for me rey?" .

Seeing her hopeful words and gesture rey couldn't get how to react in that moment. After few seconds, rey composes himself and points her towards the corner bench of bb court which was covered. She goes with rey there where they are secure from rain drops as well as other students can't see them that clearly from hostels corridors.

"Bolo na rey?"

"Umm.. you first tell me what made you to sit like that in the rain and ...you were crying too...so."

Kriya's expression becomes serious immediately as soon as rey's question reminds her of the reason she was crying for. Which didn't go unnoticed by rey. She turns away from rey and wipes her eyes.

" Reyansh I think you should leave now(still facing back to him). I don't want people... to blame.. you .. again...I ...I ...am fine now..thanks"

Rey gets annoyed of this behavior of her. He turns her to face him and in a stern voice,

Rey : tell me what's the matter? No bakwaas this time.. otherwise do tappad khaoge mujse.

Kriya with tears in her eyes smiles at his possessive words. All these months she craved for his one glance but today she got more than that but what's the use?

Rey : hasna band karo kriya (both freezes in that moment because it was the first time he called her name infront of her. For kriya it was hard-to-express moment. She soo wanted to hear her name from rey many times. She even used to dream about it) after a minute rey clears his throat and says again " now tell me.. what's the matter?"

"You are the matter reyansh"

Again this statement tongue tied him. He was expecting it but still he thought there might be something more to it.

"Sorry. Actually me, myself is the matter"

"What are you saying?"

" yes. I am the creator of this whole messy situation today. I am the bloody.."

"Kriya" Rey cuts her sentence. It was hard for him to see the most innocent, strong and helping natured person cursing herself so bitterly. Though she acted crazily but it was only around rey, otherwise she was always a strong person.

"Kyun? Felt bad seeing me in this condition today?"

"No.no kriya it's just that..."

"I know...you thought agar kal main bimaar pad gai tho pura college tumhe sunayega right?"

Rey didn't get what to reply except feeling helpless seeing her in such condition. Because it was true, he said the same sentence to his friends before coming to kriya.

"Huh.. sit (kriya sits on the bench and tells rey to sit as well.) You must be knowing my mom and our family history? "

Rey again didn't get how to reply. Who doesn't know about The famous Textile Industrialist Miss Smriti Gai and her daughter Kriya, famously known as K.

"Let me tell you if you don't know completely reyansh. My mom Smriti gai, daughter of famous business man, Pratap Gai, fell in love with her classmate in college. She was attracted by his looks and charm. Proposed him and he accepted her proposal. Both were happy. But slowly mom started doubting on his loyalty towards their relationship. Before she could handle the situation, she came to know that she was right, her lover was double dating. But at the same time she also got to know that she was pregnant. Mom went to talk to that so called lover of her, and found that the girl with whom he was double dating was none other than my mom's bestie, childhood friend. My mom's lover and her best friend were cheating on my mom for her fame and money. My grand pa couldn't digest the truth and got heart attack but before dying, he took a promise from my mom that - she will not kill the baby. because it's innocent. If not my mom, someone else got cheated instead. Forget about what society will think, raise the child proudly so that, the scoundrel lover and your friend should feel ashamed of thier deeds."

"So here I am, the great kriya gai, result of cheating, reason for mom's only family, her dad's death. (Wipes her tears) but you know what Rey, I feel proud of my mom. She answered the society in such a way that no one points at me and call me illegitimate child. Huh. Yeh rahi background story. Aur rahi baat mere aaj upset hone ki reason. I don't know how and what to say. In simple words, my mom for the first time expected something from me and I disappointed her. She didn't express it but I know she felt bad today because of my progress in the college.(smiles sadly)"

"What do you mean?"

"My mom till today never expected me to score well in studies or earn any trophies in any ccompetition. She always told me to enjoy life, every moment, like a free bird. But I always scored well in studies, won trophies in different competitions, made my mom feel proud because of my dance talent. She always felt proud of me, I felt it by her gesture, in her eyes. But today she came to meet me thinking that I am doing great in studies like always. For the first time she had expected and hoped something from me and i disappointed her. When she was proudly telling me today that she tells her business associates and other employees in social gatherings, her kriya got the seat in one of the top colleges of India and doing good in studies like always, I felt like killing myself. Because I am not studying well here Reyansh(wipes her tears). All I do and think about is, YOU. Always lost in your world. All I studied these months are - what rey might be doing? In what mood he is, annoyed, happy, grumpy, serious etc etc. What rey likes? Dislikes?your routine? Missed any meals? If yes, why? Because of his mood or study pressure? Came for jogging? No? Y? Didn't get up or not feeling well? Posted any pics? How many likes or comments he got? How many girls have commented? Bloody bi...s .. your status updates.. your marks in internals.. got lesser than last internals? Y? Any tension? Blah blah blah...Godd. "

Wiping her tears again " I only studied one subject perfectly reyansh. And I can top in that single subject you bet. And that subject is "Reyansh singhania"". She sits wiping her tears. Rey watches her for few moments then forwards his hanky to her. She takes it whispering 'thanks' to him and wipes her tears. When kriya stops crying ,

Rey : get back to your dreams kriya.

Kriya looks at him, shocked. She understood what rey meant.

Rey : yes. Go back to your normal life. Your original self. Jo hona hoga wo hokar rahega. Don't waste time on that. Give priorities to your dreams and mom first, like you did all your life. Don't loose your identity just for a...single person. And your identity is your mom and your passion towards dance and making your mom feel proud by completing MBA successfully, if I am not wrong.

Kriya: how do you know?

Rey : I have seen your interview on television madam. (Just to lighten her mood) oh, don't you know the whole India says wah wah on your every interview with your mom. I too watch your interviews for your kind information.

Kriya laughs " really?"

Rey looking at her laughing whispers " really"

Rey : so whatever happened is happened, you can't change it. Thankfully due to strikes all over the India, your semester exams have postponed. You still have time to prepare well for the final exams. So buck up and start studying.

Kriya sadly replies "yeahhh. But reyansh..."

"Now what?"

"My internals? I got very less marks in all my internals. Even if I score well in finals, I will not be able to score well like always"

" that is the punishment for you madam. Galti ki hai tho punishment milga na?"

Kriya makes a sad face.

"Okay okay.. now don't start again. I will do something"

"Really? Don't tell me that, faculties too are impressed with your charms and are ready to do anything for you. Oh please.."

"Hogai tumhari bakwaas? Now go to your room and change.. otherwise you will fall sick and has to waste few more days"

"Tum jao. I will go after some time. I want to be alone for some more time"

" alone ki bacchhI chalo utho. Kyun aur rona baaki hai?"

Kriya giggles at this. Rey forces her to get up and both walk towards girls hostel entrance. Rey didn't want to let her go alone in that condition. So he was accompanying her till girl's hostel entrance where vish and neha were waiting for kriya.
When rey and kriya were few steps away from entrance, kriya calls rey from behind, rey turns to her saying "yeah?"

"Just wanted to ask you something.." hesitantly says kriya.

" yeah bolo"

"Umm.oh..actually..I wanted to ask you...that.. that.. huh.. you never ... felt anything for me?"
