Speculation is rife that Uttaran, which has been on air since 2008, will either go off air or be given a new time slot. Lead actors Rashami Desai and Gaurav Chopra have already quit, citing lack of creativity.

Sreejita De, who is currently a part of the show, recently told us that she had informed the creative team about her unhappiness over her role. She is now considering new offers. Aarti Singh, who plays a widow in the show, added, "My character never shaped up the way it was narrated, but I have no regrets. I am sure there will be better opportunities to showcase my talent in the future."


With two lead actors quitting and many others expressing their dissatisfaction, we wonder after many leaps and new tracks, if the show will finally bid goodbye to its viewers.

if only two actors are given 90% of screen space...[

so true & agree.and wat i told u that it"ll again hav a time change 2 early eveng.bcoz if its 2 go off-air then they wud'd written as going off-air soon like they wrote abt RR. so BI @10.30PM & ut @ 6.30PM.

I am relieved of the torture of watching the show for more than
one month now... so no idea what is happening
but yes, if I get a confirmation that the show is going off air
I will surely watch the last few episode to
lampoon the show and its characters...😉😉😉
