Ek Hasina Thi Written Update 14th August 2014

The pandit asks for Durga's D.O.B. Sakshi inquires whether she can proceed with the marriage preparations. Pandit tells the family that there's a problem with the kundalis and if Durga marries Shaurya then within a month it'll cause his death. The family is stunned while Sakshi rejoices. Dayal is furious while Suchitra requests Pandit to re check and confirm the same. Pandit says whoever stays with her is sure to fall in trouble. Raima supports Pandit by telling how Dev was attacked, Shaurya's suicide attempt and now both the brothers are working with Durga on the same project. Shaurya rubbishes the facts saying that these events were nowhere connected to each other. Sakshi says Pandit is just doing his job and he can't be blamed for what he said. She apologizes and tells Durga that she supports her. Sakshi says they'll move ahead with the wedding but Pandit objects by telling that they're making a mistake. Sakshi says she is not worried about what happens later and she is willing to take the risk. However, Sakshi silently prays for Durga to speak up stop the wedding. After a while, Durga says after all this she can't marry Shaurya. Sakshi is delighted while Shaurya gets mad. Kangana tells Durga nothing will happen but Durga says if anything happens to Shaurya then who'll be responsible. She can't put him in trouble. Shaurya tells Durga nothing will happen to him. Durga says she can't take this risk. Hence she has decided to break the engagement and end the relationship. Shaurya stops her but she walks away. Sakshi rejoices and Rajnath watches as Sakshi and Pandit smirk at each other. A furious Shaurya walks in his room followed by Kangana walk who tries to talk to him. Shaurya tells her to leave him alone. Sakshi also arrives and Shaurya complains that all of them have lost their minds. Sakshi scolds him for mocking someone's beliefs and tells that all this has something to do with his life. Shaurya asks Sakshi since when did she start believing all this nonsense. Sakshi says initially she was against his alliance with Durga but now she has accepted everything and there's nothing important than his life yet she did not back out. How can he still doubt her intention. If Durga has walked out of this relationship then he has to respect her decision. If Durga believes in all this then she's definitely afraid if anything happens t him. Shaurya is furious at Pandit and says he must have just bluffed about the whole thing. Sakshi reminds him that Pandit had saved him during the rape case. Shaurya thinks that Sakshi may be behind the whole thing. At that time also she paid Pandit a huge amount for court trials. The pandit is greedy and won't think about anything once money is offered.

Shaurya says whenever something good is about to happen in his life everything goes haywire. Sakshi tells him to relax and everything will be fine. Shaurya says life has given him another chance and he won't lose hope. Suchitra and Dev discuss about all that has happened. Dev says he is no longer interested in that and prefers working. Suchitra decides to talk to Sakshi for a second opinion on the kundali. Dev is more confused about Durga and thinks that it has something to do with Nitya's diary and Payal.

Dayal Thakur is very furious over whatever happened at Goenka House. Durga says this time Sakshi had a strong plan to take her away from Shaurya. She never thought Sakshi would stoop so low. Durga tells Dayal about how the Pandit testified against Payal and supported the Goenkas. Flashback: Nitya confronts pandit for going against them and supporting the Goenkas. One day he'll pay for his deeds. Pandit retorts quickly telling nitya how many people praise him and no one will believe her. Till the Goenkas are there no one can harm him. Durga says Nitya was weak but not Durga. Dayal says they'll have to gather proof against him. Durga says that won't be difficult. Just then, she receives a call from Shaurya. Durga says she has to only say a word and Shaurya will do her job. This time the Goenka's own son will stand against them.

PRECAP: Durga talks to Shaurya telling him that they cannot meet each other. Shaurya tells her not to worry he'll find a solution to the problem. Durga tells Dayal that Shaurya will handle the Pandit.
