Here I would like to explain the positives and negatives of the character of Kalpana after the leap.
Positives:
Kalpana was a girl who had a dream to become rich on her own strength. She did not get the love of her mother as she lived in a hostel and so could not enjoy the happy moments which every child shares during their childhood. She stood strong through all difficulties and believed in herself that she can achieve everything with her talent and ability.
She saw the notice that her chawl was going to be demolished but never cried like her mother and she got more determined to pass her exams and top it so that she can become rich and independent.
She was intelligent enough to tackle Raghav Singhania and wanted him to come with her to save the chawl but when he did not agree, she decided to work the whole night for him and in return he should come and save the chawl.
In spite of failing in her exams, she did not look back and bore all insults of Raghav and gave him a 30-days challenge that she will prove herself as it was her mother who asked him for the job but she wanted to earn the respect and prove her ability to Raghav that she deserved the job.
During the Alibag trip, she was the one who stood strong whole night and looked after Raghav being alone and managed to save him and remove the leeches from his back.
When Raghav proposed to her, she still did not fall for him as she felt there was a class difference between the two. She made him see the difference between their status by making him travel in buses, shop from roadside shops, going to gardens and so on.
After Raghav convinced her that she is his life and the status does not matter, she fell for him but still continued to work for him and had the dream of achieving something on her own rather than to depend on Raghav solely.
Kalpana never hid anything from her mother and father and told them about her love but the misunderstanding fiasco was a disappointment.
Kalpana wanted her marriage with Raghav to be simple and celebrated within the chawl itself.
After the Rakhi marriage track, her character was assassinated and there was a mix of positives and disappointments in the character of Kalpana:
Disappointment: Kalpana accepted the sindoor marriage and forgave Raghav so easily for leaving her at the altar and for the humiliations she and her family had to face because of his mistake.
Positive: It was still a bit acceptable as Kalpana had forgiven her mother even though she neglected her throughout for Pakhi. She forgave Raghav was a bit acceptable.
Disappointment: Kalpana started putting sindoor and accepted that she is the wife of Raghav.
Positive: It was acceptable that she considered that Raghav is her husband only in front of God and not in the eyes of society and she told him to stay away for a year till he accepts her with dignity.
Disappointment: Kalpana let go off the molester and agreed to work as a waitress in the cafe owned by the chawl ladies. It was not acceptable that Kalpana who is a university topper to become a waitress and serve the customers instead of working in an office.
Positive: Kalpana wanted to become independent and still wanted to achieve somehting and make the cafe big so that she can fulfill her mother's dreams.
Disappointment: She accepted the challenge of Pakhi which sounded really odd for two graduate girls to fight for a man.
Positive: Kalpana did not give the challenge but she had a trust in her love Raghav and so accepted the challenge.
Disappointment: Kalpana and Pakhi saying "Raghav mera hai, Raghav mera hai" 😕
Positive: Kalpana did not still cross her limits and said that she will stay away from Raghav for a year but she has no control over Raghav's feelings for her.
Disappointment: Kalpana forgiving Raghav again for not trusting Kamla and her and indeed trusting Pakhi more.
Positive: Since Raghav said sorry to Kamla and for Kalpana, her mother is equal to God and when Kamla forgave Raghav, she too forgave him.
She still stood strong in front of Pakhi and recorded her voice to show Raghav which made it evident that Kalpana still never accepted any wrong deed of anyone and would fight for her love and her trust in her love.
Their end was again disappointing.
The new Suhana is nowhere related to the above Kalpana and is positive Pakhi instead and so the people who have loved Kalpana's character will not be able to relate to this new version. She is enjoying the "FREE" lifestyle of the real Suhana who is dead and has no dreams of her own. It is a real failure of the CVs to destroy the essence of Kalpana as Suhana is a completely new character with traits of Pakhi instead of Kalpana.
