Shahid Kapoor to star in Sajid Nadiadwalas Magadheera Remake ?

If rumors are to believed, Shahid Kapoor might star in Hindi remake of the biggest Telugu Blockbuster Magadheera to be produced by Sajid Nadiawala. Shahid Kapoor will indeed be a very interesting choice because he hasn't done a historical film till date.

For the naysayers, Magadheera is not just another Telugu/ South film. It is undeniably the biggest Telugu Blockbuster - in the same scale as what Sholay, Huma Aapke Hai Koun and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge stand in Bollywood. It is one of the highest grossing Indian films of its time.

The business Magadheera generated in India was more than the likes of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ghajini which released along that time. It also has a distinct record of having the highest distributor share for an Indian film until 3 Idiots came and broke the record.

Magadheera has everything in it which an Indian Film especially Bollywood films has. It has an epic love story, reincarnation, drama, war - epsiodes, everything. Sajid Nadiawala is fresh off the success of the blockbuster Kick and shown keen interest in remaking Magadheera for the Bollywood audience. Madhu Mantena has the Hindi rights for the Magadheera remake and he is quite interested in collaborating with Nadiadwala. Few months back it was rumored than Ranveer Singh might star in the remake but he denied being approached for any such film.

P.S :- If this rumor turns out to be true and with Sajid Nadiadwala producing, expect one of the biggest Bollywood films till date.
