Jamai Raja Written Update for 8th August 2014
Episode begins with the Patel family standing in a queue to receive money for their monthly expenditure. When it is Roshni's turn, she requests for extra money since she needs to fund the case that she's filing against the Khuranas. DD refuses to give her any extra money and belittles her NGO, to which Roshni retorts that she'll arrange for the money on her own. DD challenges her to do so.
DD goes over to Gaffur Bhai to buy a diamond. He turns out to be an MCP, and insults her for being a woman and entering a man's business, as he believes that women are to stay at home and serve their husbands. He refuses to sell the diamond to her, and DD walks out from there vowing revenge.
Roshni goes over to sell her sports car, where she receives a call from the lawyer who is pressurising her to bring the money. The sales associates realise she's gonna be an easy target to fool and try to buy the car at 5 lakhs, when its actual net worth is about 25 lakhs. Roshni, having no such knowledge, agrees to sell the car at 7 lakhs, much to the sales associate's delight and the exasperation of her driver, who'd accompanied her.
As she is rushing to find an auto to take her to the lawyer's office [which is she unable to find cause of the traffic], she spots Sid, who just purchased a bicycle from someone for 10K rupees. He offers to give her a lift to where she wants, and she agrees. Sid flirts with Roshni throughout the ride, who doesn't respond but smiles at his ministrations. After she gets off, he keeps calling her Bhagyashree, to which she responds that her name is Roshni. He casually asks her why is she going to the court, to which she replies that she's going to file a case against him, not realising the truth behind her words.
DD asks Kesar to look up new car models as Roshni's car has become outdated. At the same time, two guards drag in Gaffur to DD's office. She threatens to reveal his tax evasions to the income tax department, and forces him to sell the diamond to her at a much lower price. Gaffur has no choice but to agree.
Precap: DD drags Roshni to her room, presumably to shout at her for selling off the car. On the other side, Roshni tells Sid that her NGO kids hate rich men, so he pretends to be poor in front of her and the kids. They have fun on the beach, and Sid-Roshni share a moment.
