Saras critical !

Saras is beaming as he is lifted up in the decorated jharokha by the crane. He watches his biwi Kumud, with a sweet smile as she walks towards the mandap. While everyone is engrossed in their respective tasks, Rohit's hired badmash cuts the rope and the jharokha is seen hurtling downwards at top speed. Anushka shouts out...jiju and the rest watch in stunned disbelief as Saras' jharokha land with a thud and he spills out of it and passes out. The Desai & Vyas family rushes Saras to the hospital. Kumud is bewildered and still in a state of shock at what has transpired.

Saras to be operated

The doctor tells the gathering that Saras is in critical condition with a lot of internal injuries. He needs to be operated immediately and advises them to finish the formalities. Everyone is depressed, grief stricken and crying, but Kabir & Yash handle the situation and get the necessary papers for the surgery. Danny is devastated by the tragedy that has befallen his beloved elder brother.

Kumud realizes Saras put his life in danger

Kumud is uncontrollable and Kusum comforts her saying that nothing will happen to Saras and he will be fine soon. Dugbaa urges God not to test Saras at every turn of life while Yash's mom tells Badima that Saras took on the danger to his life in order to save his lovely wife. Kumud who is listening to the two women reflects on how Saras tricked her and took her place in the jharokha. She understands that hubby put his own life in danger for her.

Anushka confronts Rohit

A guilty Anoushka is feeling terrible about the accident. She looks at the crestfallen faces of the family and starts crying. She confronts Rohit and grabbing his collar lashes out at him for trying to kill Saras who was like a bro to her. She threatens to reveal his true colors and tell the family that he was the culprit behind Saras' mishap. Rohit pushes her away roughly telling her that if she breathes a word she will have to bear the consequences. Rohit tells her rudely that no one is likely to believe her and she will be kicked out of the house and fall in grace. He says... Kumud, the family & Kabir will curse you so stop using your mind and do as you are told.

Everyone reflects on Saras' deeds

Saras' operation is underway and the whole family is waiting anxiously for the doctor to give them a word of his condition. Danny breaks down and is comforted by his wife. Everyone is trying to console each other and reassure that nothing ill can happen to Saras. They all reflect on the times they have spent with Saras and how he has influenced and turned their lives by his good deeds and words. Danny remembered his bhais words about timely exit...Mai mulls over his apprehensions regarding Kumud...him sleeping in her lap, calmed by her Lori and Kabir thinks about Saras promising to be there for him always while he is alive.

Kumud reminisces about Saras

A distraught Kumud is reliving all the ups and downs of their life together... and how Saras has stood steadfast and firm by her side from the Pramad to Prashant. She reminisces about how Pramad shot Saras... O thinks of Mumbai and how Prashant and Mahesh trapped Saras. She reflects on his words that he will not let pain reach her... his anxiety for her and his true love. She thinks how him telling her that they can't run from problems and how they have to face them.

Kumud prays

Kumud tries to find solace through divine intervention. She goes to the small temple in the hospital and prays for Saras...the man who has been a blessing in her life. She implores that her trust in God strengthened by his love. God had tested him often but he had accepted the challenges and emerged a winner, even when there was no hope of the two ever meeting. Given that he had never failed at the face of adversity...how he can he fail this time! She says he can't... and cries buckets of tears while praying!
