The duo of 2004 and 2014- what happened actually?!

Steeled myself to watch the censured scenes of that subtrack.

Hm.

Both abhi and daya are at fault, and both of them are correct as well.

But.

The manner in which daya is behaving is childish. And the manner in which abhijeet handled everything needs improvement. In other words a massive character assassination of the duo. In sr insp abhi it was daya's character assassination. And here both.

If abhi was our 2004 abhijeet, then he wud have lashed out at shreya's dad for immorally mortgaging his daughter and wud behave like a true cid officer. He also wudnt hv lied to daya.
And the 2004 daya was much more mild and thoughtfully cautious before hurting abhi at all.

One basic feature of FW is massive character assassination of duo. Ott Style character-assassination to make cid soapy weepy puerile melodramatic ekta style twisty.

All my fav shows either stagnated becauz of ott or have gone off the air because quality wasnt compromised.
Cid is now in the first category :(

FW had already done enough damage and is further destroying CID. Wow FW and Sony, Congratulations. Trps ki jai ho! :(

Yeah, TRP ki jai ho. They use duo as a trump card to get TRP. For that they purposely keep duo separate in investigative stories and irritate us as much as possible. Then it reaches a stage where we all get fed up and TRPs start falling. Then boom...they write an OTT story, make duo mouth OTT dialogues, make them cry, make them fight and get TRP back. The cycle continues.

Back then it was not a mad TRP race as it is now. CID was a weekly show and the team had only 6 members. They were always together in all episodes as they had only 1 episode to shoot every week. They could focus on the story and write sensible dialogues and we were never desperate to see duo investigating together. That's the difference.

CID has always been used as a TRP game changer for Sony. Why else do they air so many re-runs of CID?

Vis di I feel even back then it was a mad TRP race, but back then CID was the only one of it's kind and the time it aired didn't have any competition. Most other channels would air movies at that time and it was a choice between a 3-hour movie or a 1-hour CID. Now though there is so much competition that they use the duo as a TRP earner. That's the difference.

Behind every character is a team of CVs. We become attached to characters so much that one wrong and we vent out at characters, when in actuality, we are angry wr CVs, not characters. Am sorry for hurting daya and duo fans. After seeing the scenes, i realised both are correct and wrong- but the badic fact is the CVs have destroyed the characters.

I think its Sony the mastermind.. None of the Sony daily soaps except MP & Reality shows get as much trp as CID gets.. So they want to make CID an all-rounder..adding Drama, Romance, Comedy, Action together..

ha yeh keya kaha rahe ho ( DCP CHITHROLE style) me to dargayi.me pehle hi kahathi thi ki acp aur uske do bahuban abhi aur daya CId ke liye tikh hai.

it is not easy di...u remember shreya's dad also mentioned shreya's mother is heart-patient...abhijeet is on high risk...i agree he should have done that, but since i have seen something like this in real life, i know its not at all easy to just lash out at anyone..but i wish abhijeet would have told him of handing over the money to him for now and he can return it in a month time...

yeah this TRP baba...the culprit for which not only cid, but all shows are ruined at some point...but i also feel trp's reflect viewers mindset which too needs to be transformed..
