I know they did the badi masi track rather comically.
And am waiting to see how the gauri track pans out.
But this is a general question, not related to the serial.
Would you lie to protect a sick person's mental health?
Would you wait to tell the truth only after they get well again and are "strong" enough to bear the "shock"?

I have not seen any such critically ill patient who will be affected by shock. I really wonder if anybody will get heart attack because of some big truth really😕.
But if the patient is not in condition to listen like a bed ridden patients, I may delay revealing some emotionally affecting truth.

I see no point in waiting there is never gonna be a good time to tell shocking news and in that time someone else could have spilled the beans. It's better to be upfront.

When my mum was mentally ill I waited till she had some breakfast before Sitting her down to tell her that her mum was taken into hospital. I only waited 1 hour before telling her. In gauri's case she's just hanging on to the past she ranted about anandi getting her man and then when she realised anandi is out the picture she was fine, infact after gauri forgave jagya that would have been the right time to clear the air and any misunderstanding that gauri would have about getting back together with jagya, yes she would have thrown her toys out the pram but it would mean she can have closure and get on with her life like anandi and jagya have done.

Firstly I don't understand why the singh's think gauri will be shocked to death on knowing the truth. Now that they hiding the truth and being too good to her, raising her hopes high, she'll definitely be shocked later 🤢 .

On the topic - I wouldn't lie in general but in case I lie in such a condition, I'll make sure things get better because of that lie and not worse. Every time the singhs lie, things only get bad. 🥱

Crucial truths can never be hidden. I remember we tried to hide news of my chacha's death from my dadi till the time we reached his home in other town. But we couldn't. Dadi also guessed it easily. Rather shouted at us for trying to lie.
Reality is too different.

Lying and faking about crucial things is next to impossible.

And this only creates further problems and misunderstandings.

Some truths have to be faced. There is never a moment when shock is relatively more bearable.

By giving false hopes to other person his or her mental health is ruined further, he or she becomes delusional and it becomes much tougher to come to terms with reality.
