At 4 in the evening, Ishita called Raman and asked him to pick ruhi up from school. "Dekho me meetings me busy hoon. Tum jabra kisi or din nikal lena. pehle jaakar meri beti ko le aao." Raman said in an irritated tone. "Raman please M really busy. Vo apki bhi to beti hai. Ek din agar aap le aaoge to kya ho jayega. Main nhi ja skti. plss"
"ok fine. jata hun" He ended the call. 'Kahan fasa diya is madrasan ne. Chl Raman kumar Bhalla..beti ko school se lana hai.
Ishita was waiting for Raman to come and take Ruhi from school. As soon as they left, she asked Adi to come with her. She wanted to surprise them by taking him directly. On the way, Adi asked Ishita to stop the car. She stopped. He said he wanted to buy some gift for Ruhi. Ishita was really happy. He went to a shop and bought a really expensive video game for his sister. She asked him why are you having so much money. He told mom gave me. She advised him that he should buy gift for Ruhi from his own money and not like this. He must be having some saved pocket money. He can use it. Even if he gets a small gift, it will do because Ruhi will be happy to know that her bro used his own money for her.
He said that he didn't have any money saved. Ishita then said that she can lend him money. When he refused to take, she assured him that he can return it to her later that too from his own savings. He did as he was told.
On the other side, Raman and Ruhi entered home. MRS Bhalla,"Oye Raman tu leke aya Ruhi nu. Ishita kithe?" "Pta nhi maa..koi kaam hai use"
"Achaa..chl tu beth me chai bnati hun.""Haan maa..sir ftt rha hai dard se. Jldi dedo chai" Toshi enters the kitchen to see Neelu making variety of dishes. "Oyee Neelu. AAh ki kar rhi hain. Kya kya bna rhi hai aur kyu?" Toshiji asked surprised. "wo auntyji ishita bhabhi ka fone aya tha. unhone kha yeh sbb bnane ko. Halwa, channa, poori, shahi paneer, chawal, raita, naan, daal or chicken bhi. Sb kuch. Kha koi aa rha hai khas mehman. or mithe me gulab jamun bhi." said Neelu in one go. Both toshi and Raman were surprised. 'Mehman kon mehman?' "Maa mai abhi puchta hun ishita se fone krke."
He calls her but she doesn't pick. She is sure he must have come to know about someone coming from Neelu. 'Hmm..Let Ravan Kumar think who this guest is.' She smiled. Adi was enjoying her company. She was very polite to him unlike what her mother had told him about her. She was asking sweetly about his school, his class, his classmates, his tution, his hobbies, his daily routine etc. He suddenly realised that even his own mother never asked or knew so much about him. Why was she so much interested-in him and his life. He never had the habit of sharing something with anyone so he found it really wierd. Still, he briefly replied to whatever he was asked.
When the car entered Akash Ganga Housing Society, Adi became nervous. He was never afraid of anything in his life but today he was not at ease. After serving in community center for about a month, he saw how people have to face hardships of life and how people crave for as well as enjoy relations and relatives. It had become his wish now to atleast see his family for once as his own. He wanted to know if he could also feel the love of many relatives like Ruhi who had told him enough about her dadu, dadi, chachu, bhua, pati, chitti, periamma etc. Though he never told about this wish to anyone of having relatives as he was afraid he will become a laughing stroke, he always craved for a family full of many members.
Raman saw Ishita's car through balcony. "Lo aa gyi..kanjus khin ki. Isiliye fone nhi uthaya hoga" "Maa..aa gyi Ishita. Ab usi se puchte hain ki kon aa rha hai" he said as he entered living area. As soon as Ishita came on door, he asked her "Ishita tum khan thi. Fone kyu nhi uthaya or kon aa rha hai?" He asked everything in one go. Suddenly he saw Adi entering behind Ishita. He was numb and shocked. For few minutes he stood there only lost in his own thoughts when Ishita called him,"Raman!! see who has come. Come Adi..Come inside beta" He followed her. All bhallas gathered there. They were all shocked and happy to see Adi in there home after six years. Raman had tears of happiness in his eyes.
Adi's situation was not less different. While entering the home, he felt as if it was closely related to him. Everything seemed familiar to him as if he was connected to them. He had some unclear flashbacks of him sitting on the dinning table and whole family feeding him, he and dadu playing on sofa and many more. Though he didn't remeber everything clearly but he was connected to all these persons standing here for sure. He had met them many times but never considered them as his own as his mother had told him but today, on Ishita's advise, he saw them as his family and he could clearly see a lot of love and affection for him in their eyes. He met everyone-his dadi, dadu, chachu and both bhua. They all hugged him tightly and for once, instead of getting angry on them, he too hugged them back and smiled to them.
Raman's eyes filled with tears seeing his son mingle with his family. His respect for Ishita grew many folds. This woman always supports him and gives him something in an unexpected way never asking anything in return. How can someone be so good, so gentle and so selfless. He can never thank his stars enough for bringing her in his life.
Adi came to him and greeted him,"Hi dad." "Hello beta" He blessed him and hugged him. "kaise ho?" "Good Dad" he smiled to him.
"Rooh..come here baby. Bahar aao. Mammiji kahan hai ruhi? Bahar kyun nhi aa rhi?" Ishita asked toshi. Toshi ji replied,"Puttar vo jab se ayi hai kisi se baat nhi krr rhi bss bhaiya bhaiya ki ratt lgaye bethi hai. Na kuch khaya na piya. Roye jaa rhi hai bss."
Adi asked her not to worry and called her,"Ruhi..Ruhi please come outside."
