Sorry folks, if this has been discussed before. I feel these two (Urmi's dad and daadi) have a HUGE role to play in why Urmi still keeps tolerating the nonsense. Anytime she takes a stand and tries to fight for herself, they end up creating circumstances that force her to take 10 steps backward.

I know we all have been pretty annoyed with urmi at times as to how she keeps tolerating nonsense and keeps crying her lungs out. It is definitely irritating but keeping in mind that she has a highly UNSUPPORTIVE family (courtesy her dad and daadi), she is stuck in a horrible situation. Additionally, she is not financially independent at the moment that she can simply tell her parents off and be on her own.

As somewhat of a feminist myself, I feel frustrated to see her situation (I know it's fiction, but still).

I mean seriously, people like Urmi's dad and daadi do not deserve to become parents in the first place.

I cannot believe that Urmi's daadi got Urmi's brother married to an illiterate and dumb woman. Don't get me wrong here. I am not demeaning Urmi's new bhabhi, just stating the truth. According to her daadi, a woman is nothing but a child producing machine. What a disgrace is this old hag to womanhood.

More than samrat, Urmi's dad and daadi deserve to be slapped left, right and center.

I am really not looking forward to the nonsense Maryada and Samaj and Izzat lecture by these two idiots (urmi's dad and daadi) again when Urmi leaves Samrat.

Urmi's Dadi and father have been ignoring her pain for years. They cover their ears & refuse to hear Urmi's pleas for support when she needs them. They worry more about society rather than their own child unfortunately.

As for Asha, I love her character & she's my favorite. But yes you have a point when you say what Daadi did was wrong. At least she could've asked Gaurav.
