| Himesh shows glimpse of new film on TV Himesh Reshammiyan gave a sampling from his upcoming film Aap Kaa Surror - The Real Love Story on Friday's episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee. "He performed songs from his movie and we enjoyed it immensely," said music director Vishal Dadlani (who is one half of Bollywood's Vishal-Shekhar duo). Anchor Aditya Narayan said later that Himesh's was a "total paisa vasool film" on the evidence of Friday night. "Himesh is a very big singer," said Vishal, "we have become friends -- and I've become a fan of his. Though we fight on screen, taking sides for the sake of contestants, off-camera I have immense respect for his talent." He said he was also taken aback by the nasal singer's magnanimity in giving advice and tips to contestants on the show. "When someone sings his song and he thinks it's not up to the mark, he comes up on stage and tells them how he thinks they ought to have sung it, and sings it for them." One of the contestants on the show, Tushar, would now sing a song for a movie which Himesh had written specially for him, Vishal added. "Tushar was eliminated and Himesh thought he had the talent, so he came on stage and sang an original composition that he gifted Tushar." This will be seen on TV on Saturday night. Himesh had earlier vowed to use Pakistan contestant Musharrat in the future. Friday, June 22, 2007 |
