KT and Rachna - a lesson to all?

Hi All,
I've been a relatively silent member on this forum with a few posts or replies to other's posts here.
I wanted to make a thread today in regards to Rachna and her relationship with KT.

I love watching them on - screen especially KT - kudos to the actor who essays the role of KT for being so gorgeous to look at and for hitting all the correct notes with his performance as KT.

What I would like to address here is the dynamics of their relationship. I feel CVs failed to do justice when it came to the development of their romance/love - when KT was introduced late last year around Diwali time - it was right after Gunjan had exposed that lady politician and a black car was seen lurking around the Garg house - later that was revealed as KT.

When KT was introduced he was shown as this mysterious, sexy, sauve, foreign returned grandson of a very fun loving granny. He was quiet, strong, silent yet his actions spoke volumes. His employees were petrified of him - akin to Miranda from the Devil wears Prada.

It took us a while to realize KT was a good guy with a mysterious past - very successful at his unconventional career (straight male fashion designers are rarely portrayed on screen). He wasn't rude just a little ill tempered and hard on the outside.

Having Rachna around and seeing her talent and dedication to her work and helping him achieve new heights of success seemed to help break down some of the walls that he had built around himself. The turmoil that KT spoke of yesterday - where he battled his emotions and tried to resist his attraction/affinity for Rachna - wasn't shown very clearly - perhaps only during the Rajiv track where - but that was more jealous possessive reaction not really - i love her but i shouldn't love her kind of turmoil.
Same with Rachna - when and how she started falling for and then fell in Deep love with KT wasn't fleshed out very well either. I'll accept it on the basis of creative liberty and indian girls from small towns are shy and tend not to express themselves etc.

At this point though - Rachna - whether it's immaturity or fear or a combination of the 2 - has not been fair to KT. She know's he's serious about her, she's willing to keep fasts and organize celebrations for him but she can't find the courage to be truthful to her family. Had she been truthful to Gunjan, Mayank and her mom especially - last nights tamasha could have been easily avoided.
KT told her countless times to stop lying, come clean, or let him tell them - but each time she held back.

This does raise an interesting point for viewers - it's good to be strict with children and set boundaries and expectations but parents shouldn't take that so far that children are unable to speak the truth at home.
I would have really appreciated if Rachna had said - this is exactly why I didn't say anythign earlier - because you wouldn't understand, you'd punish me and treat me this way.

I hope this serves as a message to Parents and youngsters alike that honesty is the best policy and children once they get older are adults and deserve to be treated with respect as an adult not a 5 year old.

What say guys?

well yes, rachna should have told them. but i can understand why she didnt do so. her family has kept her inside a protective bubble her entire life. and one day KT came into her life and showed what the outside world look like. it was the first step to growing up and this must have terrified her. her parents still think she is their little girl and she will always be. but the restrictions they put forth is too strict for a girl her age where she should have a bit of freedom to do what she want to do. otherwise they will rebel and well..we all know what happens when they do.

She should've told her parents earlier-but to add some masala to a soap, the CVs were bound to do this.

Kabir is successful and sensible, however Rachna is portrayed very childish.

The CVs are trying to show a age difference and due to a generation gap, Kabir is to responsible, whereas Rachna is irresponsible in some situations.

I agree with you fully.I am happy that you made this post.
When we are talking about kT and Rachana relation.Their are some other elemants in their relation not only love.

Their are so many diff issues in their relation.KT is matured and he established his his whole Empire by his own.And now he had only Dadi in the name of family. So he can takequick decession.

Dadi is too matured and modern too.

As par Rachana concernen her parents are with old belief. And she knew they do not agree so easily for their relation. So she was afraid to be parted with Kabir.Bec she was attached fully with Kabir emotionally.

But yes, parents must handle their teenage children very matuarally.

My pov strictly
