I met Durjoy Dutta today in the launch of his new book 'When only love remains' and had asked him a few questions about Sadda Haq.
Me : "Hello sir, I'm Lahari "
DD : "What sir? I'm just 21. Come on"
Me : "Okay So, my question is : What made you write a story like Sadda Haq? I mean, where did you get such an extraordinary theme from?"
DD : "I'm an mechanical engineer and in my class there were all boys and only one girl. So, I kind of thought her as Sanyukta and started to write and then ideas had started to flood in."
Me : "Which is more good, writing novel or writing scripts for a tv series?"
DD : "Obviously writing novels Cause writing novels is much more relaxing. I mean, It takes about 8 months to write a book and then wait for the reviews. But when you're writing scripts for a show you have a pressure cause every Thursday you get to know the trps and if its not good then you have to work again on the scripts"
Me : "Okay, so when will our SanDhir will FINALLY be together?"
DD : Not now. I mean if they get together now then the show will end right and i can't write a suhagraat scene I write SanDhir scenes just for the trp but Param takes all the credit"
Me : "Haha That's true. We love Param TOTALLY By the way, we had a heard a rumor that Sadda Haq is an one year show. Is that true?"
DD : " No who told that? We have a plan of airing Sadda Haq for five years if we continue getting trps like this "
Me : "Five years? I love YOU so much!!" "One more question, is your dimples real?"
DD : " I had got a plastic surgery"
Me : "One LAST question "
DD : "Yeah?"
Me : "If I inbox you my number then will you whatsapp me for seven days?" xD
DD : "I'll give you the answer offline "
And while he was signing my book, I had asked him, "Do you read the fan fictions on SanDhir in facebook?"
DD : *smiling* "Yes suprisingly I do. Whenever I'm going through my newsfeed and I'm bored, I read them "
And many more things I got to know about him. But it'll take me a day if I start mentioning all of them now. And yes, he's a single
