Deepika Singh belongs to Delhi , coming from a Rajput family. She did her post-graduation in Business Administration with Marketing as specialisation from Punjab Technical University and joined her father's business of garments. She always wanted to become an actress and been a part of theatre acts in Delhi.

Director of Diya Aur Baati - Rohit Raj Goyal was the boyfriend of Deepika before her marriage. After they both started to work together, on spending a lot of time with each other they had a strong bonding. Recently, both of them got married to each other after their parents met and agreed for the marriage. The entire cast and crew of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' were present at the wedding venue on Mira Road. Aniruddh Dave, Karan Mehra and wife Nisha, Ratan Rajput and Neil Bhatt were helpful to add a whole new charm to the venue.

Before rising to fame, Deepika Singh faced a tough time struggling for work. She would often sleep without eating anything at night and sometimes sipped on cold milk to save money.

Fun-loving and spirited as she portrays on screen, Deepika in real life is confident and independent, and lives her life on her own terms and conditions.

Deepika is not very brand conscious. She likes wearing the things which fit her well.

The pretty lady is currently essaying her dream role in Diya Aur Baati Hum. She would love to share screen space with Ram Kapoor and Barun Sobti in the near future.

As a child Deepika was a very studious girl.

Curious to know where does Deepika reside in Mumbai? Well, she resides in Mira Road.

If not an actor, Deepika who has studied MBA in Marketing would have helped her father in the business of garments.

Deepika loves eating north Indian food. Especially, chole bhaturey.

Deepika's comfort food is Dal and rice.

The fine-looking actor loves to travel. Her favourite destination is UK.

How life has changed after Diya aur Baati ?
It has changed a lot ,now people recognise me every where. I feel nice people ask me what next gonna happen in the story. Amidst all this I always focus on my work because u get name, fame, recognition only till the time you are doing good job and I always try to live upto the expectations of my viewers.

How u got the role of sandhya ?
I did an ad ,then circulated the pics in agency at Delhi. I got the call from that agency for auditions at Mumbai. Me and my friend were called and fortunately I was selected .

For the first time how you felt before the camera ?
I was very much scared of the camera. Working with such great actors I was very nervous but my producers Shashi and Sumit Mittal helped me out. Sumit sir has dedicated this show to the life of his wife. I was like Sandhya . I was used to study a lot during childhood days while watching the etv shows i used to think one day will I be able to do it. After completing my MBA , I thought of trying for this line and got the love of the people.

What is the difference between Deepika and Sandhya ?
In the show Sandhya is most of the times so quiet and hears the things from others. In real life I am totally opposite to that. I am very talkative , once the camera is off on the sets you can only hear my voice . We do so much fun on the sets.

Tell us about the relation you share with your co star ANAS RASHID ?
I like working with him. His nature is very simple .Before doing the final scenes we discuss the scenes with each other. I can only tell that we are good friends . My best friend on the set is my bhabho.

How is your offscreen relation with bhabho?
We share superb relation with each other. We both pull the legs of all on the sets. Many times I start scolding her as bhabho and she hears without utter any word with scared expressions.

If ever you have to compromise like sandhya in real life between family and career what will you choose ?
I will give priority to my family and as such if you cannot bear the responsibilities seriously on your shoulders ,you will never be able to fulfill in your ambition . Sandhya has accepted every difficulty in her life ,Difficulties are part of our lives and such challenges takes you towards success .

You belong to Delhi, what are the things you miss ?
My life is well settled at Mumbai. Still I miss Delhi. I havev studied there in the AIR FORCE SCHOOL. I have spent my childhood there . I miss my family , the food ,shopping. When ever I visit Delhi
I never forget to eat the GOL GAPPAS there.

Tell us about your hobbies ?
I like travelling and when I get time I love going to SPA .

Onscreen you wear saree , in real life what do you prefer ?
In real life I like wearing western outfits as they are easy to manage. I feel comfy in jeans and tshirts.

How do feel after tasting success ?
I feel very nice. Few people are there who are never satisfied with and happy with their work , but I become very happy and energetic when I get the appreciations from the viewers. If I get the love an the support of the viewers one day I will definitely touch the heights of success.
