A good read but the end 😭 Please don't let anything happen to my Asad. Loved all their romancing and the way Najma is scared of her Bajijaan is so natural. Loved ayaan n Humeirah scene too.

Loved reading it and please pm me for the next update.

Hey Sunshine,
Am so sorry for being late in replying, couldn't get my lazy bum to do anything.
Now coming to the update. Firstly you tell me why on earth were your ranting about being unsure of such brilliant chapter? I seriously am clueless! I absolutely Loved it!
The starting had me captivated & lost into the world of Our AsYa. It really was so sweet & too good that I couldn't help but cry. That innocent charm of their love has me gone. I so love the way they interact with each other, exactly how one would treat their most prized possession. Zoya is a doll, I love her. Her bubbly, lively self makes the day even brighter. And Asad, hayyee, I'm a goner. My words end at him.
You had me rolling when Zoe agreed with him about perverts. Gosh these two are so Adorable.
Aww, I feel sad for Tamatar, poor thing is worried about Bhaijaan's reaction. I'm sure Zoe would help her. Look at Ayaan, such a badtameez, enjoying out of their misery. But I loved how he said he'd be there for his sister.
Okay I read this update around 5 times but seriously forgot abt the part of the caller searching for 'her'. I was so dazed I couldn't concentrate on anything else but your ending threw cold water on my sweet dreams. Please don't make Zoe a target of another person again.
You know I really was thinking that Asad is just joking with her. But the snake, gulps. Why? What is she going to do alone? You know I cried with her. I just hope she gathers her wits and treats Asad quickly. She has her I pad & phone, hopefully there'll be coverage too. Please don't separate my babies for too long, after all the awesome time they're having in ages.
I hope you wont leave us hanging.
Love lots.

Chapter 31

"Asad" Zoya cried holding her head. Everything seemed blurry, her head was hurting. This had to be a nightmare; she looked around the jungle... What should she do, what should she, what should she do?
She brushed her arms over her face to wipe her tears; she ran towards Asad's backpack and fell to her knees. She rummaged through it trying to find the first aid kit; she yanked it open and stared at all the medicines. She whimpered not knowing what she should do. She grabbed her phone and the i-Pad; she held the phone against her ear.

"Hello? Hello..." Zoya sobbed into the phone, "Hello, Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan speaking... Yes from the Island... Hello?" Zoya jumped up onto her feet marching from one side to another trying to get some signal and stop the line from breaking. She was so sure this number was for emergencies. "Hello... My husband has been bitten by a snake. A snake... A sna- WHAT? I know a snake when I freaking see one, he HAS fainted. Hello are you listening to me?" Zoya shook the phone bursting into another cry, "Hello... I swear to Almighty, SHUT UP and listen to me clearly. My husband has been bitten by a snake and he has fainted, someone please help us... HELLO, we went on a hike, HELLO? Are you listening to me... Hello?" Zoya stared at her phone, she was shaking by now; the signal was gone. "NO NO NO!" Zoya shrieked, her cries echoed into the jungle. She hit the phone hoping it would work but no luck. She threw it back into the bag and furiously typed something into the i-Pad. She had invested in portable wi-fi, she was just praying it worked in the middle of nowhere, too much to ask but she was desperate. Tears streamed from her eyes onto the i-Pad, she glanced at Asad every few seconds, her heart breaking seeing him unconscious on the ground. The thought of the snake coming back freaked her out, but not more than losing Asad. She blinked at the screen trying to process what it was telling her, her eyes searched the jungle once again to see if she could find anything that she could use. She grabbed the bottle of water along with her jacket; she placed his head onto the jacket before settling beside his bitten foot.

"Almighty, please let this work" Zoya prayed wiping her tears away, she took a deep breath in and out, the throbbing pain on her head was threatening to drop her. She brought his bitten foot towards her, without thinking twice, she placed her lips against the marks trying to suck out the poisoned blood from him to stop it spreading. This wasn't safe for her, but she wasn't going sit here and watch him die, like she said before, death will have to touch her before it gets anywhere near Asad. She spat out the blood bursting into a coughing fit, she wiped her mouth before sucking again, each time making her feel dizzy. "Asad" Zoya whispered looking towards his face; she sucked again this time not being able to do much. She coughed out the blood to her side, a puddle of blood formed beside her on the ground. She grabbed the bottle of water and rinsed the spot he was bitten. She tried reaching for the i-Pad, her eyes blacking out every few seconds. She stared at the screen; there was a leaf paste that soothes snake bites but she didn't know where to look. How the hell was she supposed to mix up herbal medicine in the middle of nowhere? She stared at the bite marks; she reached for it again when her head felt heavy and her eyes blurry. She fell to her side the next instant in Asad's arms; they both lay there unconscious as the deadly poison spread all over their body.

-

"Hey Asim, what have you done about your work?" Anwar sat down next to a thoughtful Asim. "Are you sure you're not going to go back with us in three weeks?" He placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Jee?" Asim stared at him confused.

"Are you sure you're not coming back with us?" Zeenat sat down opposite him, "Are you okay beta?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Just tired." He replied.

"What's wrong beta, is it work related, we can tell something is bothering you. Tell us?" Anwar comforted Asim.

"I was just thinking about... you know three years ago..." Asim's voice trailed off. Zeenat sighed heavily brushing her hand over her stomach.

"Zoya will be angry when she finds out you're talking about it!" Anwar warned him.

"It's long forgotten. You were not guilty of anything. Nothing was your fault; you need to understand that..." Zeenat got up and sat beside him placing her hand over his.

"I know aapi, but I can't help but wonder where she has disappeared to. I mean, I know I am innocent, I was proven innocent but she should've come to at least tell everyone that all the accusations were wrong, they were baseless accusations." Asim leaned back against the sofa placing his arm over his face. Zeenat and Anwar looked at each other knowingly; what had prompted him to think about that incident all these years later?

"Asim, forget about it. You had nothing to do with it. You know that, we know that, and Zoya fought hard to make sure everyone else knew that." Anwar reassured him.

"YOLAAA peeeps!' Ayaan entered the house in a dramatic style. He froze with his hands in the air as his eyes fell on the three people in front of him; it looked like they were in the middle of a serious conversation. "Okay sorry. I'll come back later" Ayaan turned around awkwardly.

"Wait" Ayaan halted. "Now that you have already disturbed us, would you mind telling us the reason why you graced us with your presence?" Asim smirked getting up.

"Oh, are you sure?" Ayaan turned around asking. Asim raised his eyebrow crossing his arms. "The girls are waiting in the car. We're going for a picnic" He smiled deviously. "You coming"

"Are you asking me or telling me?" Asim asked. Ayaan wrapped his arm over his shoulder,

"Nautanki baad mein karna" Ayaan laughed pulling him towards the door.

"Have fun"Anwar hugged Zeenat waving them off laughing. "Heyy Ayaan!" Anwar called. They both turned around amidst their jokes.

"Have you heard from the lovebirds?" He laughed jokingly. Zeenat nodded but her expressions more serious.

"Missing them ehh?" Ayaan teased.

"Come on we haven't heard from them in days, aint you a little, okay not worried but don't you care?" Zeenat joined Anwar. Ayaan and Asim looked at each other before bursting out laughing.

"I know Mona too well, she'll be missing us. Don't worry she'll give you guys a call soon" Ayaan winked.

"I hope they're having fun wherever they are, and are safe. They deserve this after everything. Protect my two precious babies Almighty" Zeenat prayed.

"Hey bias" Asim shouted.

"Chup kar. Yeh Maan and Geet bhi na. Where have they sent them off to?" Anwar spoke thoughtfully.

"Wherever they are, they've got no disturbances" Asim spoke cheekily hi-fiving Ayaan. They both walked out laughing.

"I'm driving today" Ayaan announced knowingly with a grin playing on his lips; he got inside the car leaving a confused Asim outside. Asim opened the door to the back to find a smiling Najma sat inside waiting for him. An instant smile adorned his face, this adorable little doll always cheered up his mood. Humeira sighed dreamily as they stared into each other's eyes; she blessed them from the bottom of her heart. Ayaan winked at her, she put her finger to her lips to stop him from ruining their moment. Ayaan's eyes fell on Humeira's arm as her sleeves rolled down when she put her finger to her lips; she followed his gaze and quickly rolled her sleeve up moving her head towards the window. Ayaan didn't miss the scared look on her face, that fire scarred her, but what was worse was that the memories that have been left with those scars will haunt her all her life no matter how much she heals.

"Humeira" Ayaan grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind one of the trees. She didn't meet his eyes as he waited for her to look up at him. He held her shoulders before brushing his thumb over her cheek. "I want to talk about it" He whispered, "Do you?" He asked softly. She nodded at him before hugging him tight. Ayaan tilted his head to have a look at Asim and Najma who were busy playing Frisbee with each other, forgetting that anyone else had come with them.

They both sat against the rocks near the lake, both of them staring into it listening to the calm soothing voices of nature along with the annoying human beings barking like dogs in the distant of the park.

Without moving his eyes, Ayaan placed his hand on Humeira's arm lifting her sleeves up to reveal her scar. He picked her arm up and placed it onto his lap. He then looked at her, Humeira whimpered meeting his eyes. He caressed the scar before placing a kiss onto it, Humeira closed her eyes.

"Ayaan, do you love me any less?" Humeira whispered. Ayaan looked at her shocked.

"What are you talking about Humeira begum?" His eyes ran over the scar, "What, you thought I would love you less because of this scar? Are you crazy?" He hit her head. "Please don't use your brains from now on, pagal ladki." Ayaan shook his head. He looked at her apologetically seeing a lone tear escape her eyes, he brushed it off. "You're beautiful Humeira, with this scar. This doesn't change anything, I still love you the same, if not more, you're perfect! Vaise bhi, it should be me that is worried, I'm imperfect in every way, whether it is physical or lacking in brains, you still love me na?" He spoke innocently. Humeira nodded placing her head on his shoulder.

"The person that scarred my sister for my sake ended up giving me the biggest scar of my life. These scars will heal Ayaan, or it may never heal. I may look at it differently in a couple of years' time, but my heart... how do I stop it from hurting?" Ayaan slipped his fingers in between hers and held them tight. "My Ammi and Abbu, how could they have wronged so many innocent lives? I pray to Almighty that my heart never turns like theirs."

"You are not like them. You are like your sister. You are each other's strength. You know how to stop your heart from hurting? Just let it go... it's hard I know, but your sister wants to see you happy. That sister that sacrificed everything for you, that same sister you gave justice to. If you want to see them, I will take you" He kissed the top of her head.

"Maybe one last time" She closed her eyes. "For my sister's sake..."

"I'll always be here, by your side." Ayaan assured her.

"I know you will" She replied. Ayaan smiled.

-

Zoya slowly opened her heavy eyes; she felt the comfort of her beloved by her side. His touch, his fragrance, his breathing... she had memorised every bit of his presence. She tilted more of her body towards him trying to bury herself in him.

"Asad, you'll be fine" Zoya whispered faintly, over and over again. She felt his hand go over her forehead, she opened her tired eyes as much as possible, she turned towards the warmth of his face over hers. She met his eyes, Zoya breathed out into the oxygen mask finding him safe, finding herself in his arms.

"You're fine" Asad stroked her forehead before placing a peck in its place. Her vision slowly cleared, she finally managed to observe her surroundings. They were back in their bedroom, but how? Her senses came back to her, she could hear murmuring in the background, there were people moving around... what was happening? She looked towards Asad again; he pressed his eyes at her to reassure her. Was this all a dream?

"Asad?" Zoya breathed out.

"Shhh" He held her closer to him. One hand rested over her forehead and the other brushed over her stomach, he knew she needed his comfort, his touch or else she would panic. He didn't quite know how the last twenty fours went staring at her pale face sleeping peacefully beside him, he had faith that nothing would happen to her but he was scared. He held her close to him asking the doctors to check her while she was still in his hold.

"Hey there Mrs Khan!" A handsome doctor appeared with a bright smile on his face. "Finally, you're awake. Your husband was worrying us, he was in a worse shape than you" Zoya looked at Asad horrified. Asad gave the doctor a look for scaring her like that. "Sorry Mrs Khan, I mean he was worried for you!" Zoya breathed out into the oxygen mask. Asad shook his head; she worries too much for him. Zoya gave him a look; do you worry any less? "Your blood pressure is fine. You did a brave thing there Mrs Khan" Zoya smiled, she loved being referred to as Mrs Khan. "I don't even know how you managed to suck out the poison from your husband, but however you did it, you saved his life" Asad placed the side of his head against hers.

"Is he okay doctor?" Zoya's broken voice asked in a soft whisper.

"He's fine; luckily he gained consciousness an hour after the guys found him. He was saved because of you or else the poison would have spread, you took most of it in you. But your husband brought you back." The doctor smiled.

"Thank God you called us, or else no-one would've known anything about it" Another man appeared holding his helmet against his waist. Zoya tensed, Asad rubbed her stomach to help her to relax. "To be honest, there were meant to be no dangerous animals on this Island, but I guess the Wildlife services will get a whole load of it tomorrow morning, they did a thorough check only last month. But don't worry, there's been another team sent out to clear out the jungle. There's also a team set up on the other side of the jungle, medics, emergency services, hikers, lifeguards you name it. They had left for their holidays but we've brought them back. We do apologise for everything that has happened. You're safe now" He looked at the floor ashamed. Asad nodded, he didn't want to bother with anything right now, he just wanted to hold his wife against him, safe and sound, which she was. He thanked the Almighty a million times over.

"Mr Khan, I'm leaving these medicines. Make sure she takes them on time; she'll be just fine don't worry. And you take your tablets too. You both take care of yourself and yes even after everything, do enjoy your honeymoon." The doctor patted his shoulder before walking out towards the helicopter over the clear blue water. Asad rubbed the nape of his neck tiredly.

"I'll take your leave now Mr Khan. You and Mrs Khan take care of yourself. If you need anything, only a beep away." He put his hand out for Asad to shake which he did. He closed the door and walked towards the kitchen taking a glass of water. He returned into the bedroom. He crawled onto the bed and stared at her, caressed her face, pinching her nose and brushing his thumb over her lips. Zoya chuckled at his touches.

"I told you not to wear shorts!" Zoya spoke suddenly. He placed the tablet into her open mouth and made her sip a bit of water. He placed the glass on the side table before lifting her body onto his lap. His hands went over her bare legs whilst she fidgeted with his vest resting her head on his chest. "Asad?"

"Hmm?"

"Does that mean no more exploring?" She asked in a sad voice.

"Yeah"

"What about swimming?"

"Definitely not!" Asad replied.

"What about a romantic walk?" She moved her head away and looked at him pinching his cheeks pouting at him pecking his lips and moving her head back.

"Nope" He replied as she carried on pecking his lips with her pouting ones like a pecking bird.

"Okay, we'll just stay in bed then" Zoya smiled like a naughty child moving her legs over spreading them out both ways to face Asad.

"Yup!" Asad agreed. "We're leaving the day after tomorrow" He told her.

"What? How come?" Zoya frowned, "I don't want to leave so soon"

"Oh ho, my little baby." Zoya's frown turned into a wide smile. "We're going Milan, for shopping" He wrapped his arms around her waist pushing her close to him on his lap. She leaned forward towards him and kissed his chin. "Before we got married you were delaying our nikkah because you wanted to shop. And now things have changed, what happened?" He laughed.

"We got married, no-one to impress anymore" Zoya joked. "Spending time with you means more to me than shopping. I'll stay half naked, no problem" She winked. He tapped her cheek playfully.

"Naughty Mrs Khan!" Asad grinned.

"But if you insist so much, I'm willing to sacrifice and do some shopping!" Zoya squealed in his lap. Asad held his ears, her excited shrieks deafening his ears.

"Can I get a payment for those shopping now? I'll survive the heart attack that way" He pointed to his lips. Zoya rolled her eyes.

"Wasn't you that said, oh spend my money Zoya, I love you blah blah, forgotten already? Bade ayein payment mangne" She pressed her lips. Asad brushed his fingers up her arm before tangling his finger on her dress strap pulling her close to him. She tried not to laugh. "I love you baby" She giggled taking his lips possession. She yanked her chest closer to his, attacking his neck with her arms. Asad played with her as she brushed her tongue over his closed lips, she grunted at him before biting it making Asad jump. Asad moaned with pleasure as she sucked the spot she bit, brushing her tongue over it again and again. She met his loving eyes, her innocent desires glistening in his. She pushed her chest against his to make him aware of her erratic heartbeat which spazzes out of control with his every touch, she swayed her tongue inside his mouth, relishing his taste, relishing her control over his senses, as well her claim over his mouth. Asad was hers and hers only to enjoy. He read her eyes; in agreement he pushed against her lips making her fall back onto the bed with him over her. He allowed his body to sink over hers, their bodies soaked into the layers of duvet. He pulled away from the kiss and started placing wet kisses all over her neck, her breathing shortened as she clutched onto him tighter.

"I am yours and yours only Zoya" He whispered into her ears. Zoya hugged him tightly against her holding his face against her neck; her lips went over his neck and shoulder. You're mine.

-

He spread the curtains allowing the first rays of sunshine to enter their heavenly bedroom and caress every bit of his beloved wife sleeping half naked like she always does with only part of the bed sheet wrapped around her. He looked back brushing his scruffy hair and admired his wife sleeping peacefully, he laughed to himself remembering their arguments about how she wanted to wake up early to make them breakfast. Though he allowed her to win that argument, he knew it was him who had won, no he didn't mind at all, not every husband is lucky enough to make breakfast and serve it to his beautiful wife, and when she smiles, he feels like he had won the world in return. That feeling, he never wanted to lose. He always wanted to see her smile.

"My beautiful wife" Asad whispered planting a kiss on top of her forehead, Zoya moaned in her sleep as her hands searched the bed sheets to grab hold of him. Asad shook his head walking around towards the suitcase; he picked up a white shirt and looked back at her. He left it there and grabbed his shorts walking into the bathroom for a shower. Moments later, he walked out of the bathroom drying his hair with his towel, his Adonis like body sparkling as the rays of sun kissed every bit of his skin making him look more heavenly than ever. The drops of water trailed down his neck, over his broad chest before outlining his defined abs losing itself into his pants. He gazed over at his wife still sleeping without a care in the world, he admired her again taking in her beauty, he couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. He thanked the Almighty over and over again for allowing him to wake up next to an ethereal woman who only belongs to him; his wife, his gift from above. Draping the towel around his neck, he walked out of the room to make them both breakfast. Happy Mrs Khan will turn Moody Mrs Khan without any food in her stomach. The sudden murmuring brought him out of his reverie; he walked over towards the door and opened it. He was surprised to find a middle aged woman along with a young male standing there with their hands in the air as they were about to knock.

"Can I help you?" Asad raised his eyebrow. The woman gulped staring at his chest. Asad awkwardly brought the towel to hide his chest chanting I am only Zoya's.

"We're the cleaners" The male replied. Asad pressed his forehead remembering the note when they first got here.

"Yeah come inside." Asad gestured for them to enter. He walked towards his bedroom and picked up a t-shirt quickly slipping into it. He watched Zoya turn on her stomach, taking the whole bed sheet with her tangling it around her even further. His head shot towards the door, he watched the male's attention turn towards his room. His eyes grew smaller, almost venomous being able to read his expressions. Asad knew he couldn't see Zoya but he kneeled onto the bed and covered her back. He tucked the loose strands of hair behind her ears, he watched as a smile crept onto her lips. He sighed dreamily before jumping off the bed and turning to go out of the room shutting the door behind him. His hand lingered on the doorknob to make them understand that this room was off limits for both of them. He entered the kitchen and started making breakfast. His careful eyes monitored the duo as they cleaned every inch of the place.

"Sir, what about the bedroom?" The lady asked gaping at his back, still drooling over his abs.

"There's no need" Asad spoke in a stern voice without turning.

"But we were asked to clean every inch-" The male's voice trailed off seeing him turn around with the most dangerous look on his face.

"When I say there is no need, there is no need." Asad breathed sharply. He closed his eyes and mentally calmed himself down. "My wife likes it how it is" Asad told them both. The duo nodded at him carrying on with their sweeping.

"Asad" A voice came from the doorway. Everyone's head shot towards a smiling Zoya wrapped in a bathrobe, her wet curls still dripping with water. "Hi" She waved at the workers before walking towards the back door sliding the French doors open and taking in the fresh air. She grabbed her book that she left outside and casually strolled back towards her bedroom. Asad chuckled to himself; Zoya never fails to make him laugh. He was in the middle of taming his urges to kick these workers out, especially the male one punching his guts and throwing him into the ocean, but Zoya in her morning carefree attitude casually walking into the room smiling at everyone before heading back inside made him laugh out loud. The duo looked at him trying to figure out why he was laughing.

"Thank you for your services. And the food. We'll be leaving tomorrow" He told them both walking them towards the door.

"If you need anything, just let us-"

"We won't. Thank you" Asad passed them a tip and closed the door. He hummed towards the kitchen picking up the breakfast tray and headed to his bedroom.

"Have they gone?" Zoya asked from the bathroom. Asad passed her a look seeing her in his t-shirt again. Not that he minded, but those legs were doing something to him. She strolled towards the breakfast tray and picked up a piece of toast while Asad made himself comfortable on the chair in the balcony. "They seem nice" She took a bite out of the toast, "Hmmm, did you give them a tip?" She stared at him with distorted expressions as he started laughing. "Kya hua?" She picked up the tray holding the toast with her teeth and placed it on the table outside. She sat on his lap sideways and nodded her head. "Are you okay?" She placed her hand on his forehead seeing him laugh so much. He looked cute though.

"They were a couple of perverts!" He told her taking his cup of coffee wrapping his arm around her waist to stop her from falling off his lap. Zoya creased her eyebrows confusedly looking into the distance.

"HUH? Is this one of your being suspicious of every guy that comes inside our home? I hope you didn't scare him" She twisted her mouth.

"Oh please Zoya. He was ogling at your naked back" Zoya's mouth opened wide, he tapped her chin to close it.

"That's your fault, stop taking my clothes off every night" She retorted. Asad rolled his eyes.

"She was checking me out. I only just came out of the shower" He smirked. Zoya's jaw opened wide, her toast fell out of her hands.

"Hawww, how dare she?" Zoya twisted in his lap. He grabbed her fist and tamed his lioness. She looked at him like a stubborn child, "Should've told me sooner, would've ripped her to shreds" Zoya threatened.

"Really?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Okay, point noted my lord" Zoya saluted him before grabbing her coffee. "We're both jealous, over protective and possessive individuals. I shall never show my naked back to anyone" He pouted, "Except my husband" She giggled taking a sip of her coffee. "Thank you!" She kissed his cheek and headed inside.

"Zoya if you keep wearing my clothes, what am I supposed to wear?" He asked behind her.

"Should've thought about that before asking Tamater to pack" She replied rummaging through her suitcase.

"I didn't say I mind." Asad smiled.

"When did I say I mind seeing you topless" She fluttered her eyelashes at him. "It's so hot Asad, come on" She made eyes at him. His crooked smile made her knees waver; only she could make him smile like that and only he could have her knees threatening to drop her off her feet. It was everything beyond chemistry. She watched with a smirk as he removed his top to satisfy her perverted deprived eyes.

"Happy Mrs Khan?"

"Of course Mr Khan" She dazzled him a smile. Asad felt his heartbeats go frantic. "I don't know when I'll ever get the opportunity to ogle you shirtless around the house again" Zoya sighed. Asad got up and walked towards her,

"Don't worry, as soon as the bedroom door closes, it's all offf" He laughed.

"Promise?" She put her hand out.

"Promise" He placed his hand in hers. "Let's call Maan, he called yesterday."

"Haww? I hope he hasn't told anyone at home."

"Don't worry, I asked him not to. I think we should call home too."

-

He entered through the gates of the mansion in his luxurious car. His eyes ran over its littlest detail before falling on the large wooden doors. He removed his Ray Bans allowing his eyes to soak in the sunlight; he paced towards the main entrance nodding towards his chauffeur. He removed his jacket showing his tightly fitted waistcoat sat perfectly over his white shirt against his beautifully built body. His eyes fell on the door just above the flight of stairs; he smiled at the maid before rushing towards the door. He pushed the door open and breathed out.

"Heyy" He greeted her closing the doors behind him. He walked towards the bed before settling on a chair beside it. "How's my little angel doing today?" He caressed her forehead. He glanced at the monitors beside him before running his eyes over her still body. His heart ached seeing her condition. He got up and put on his smile opening the curtains allowing the sunlight to stream in through the glass windows and lighten up the room.

"Why is this room always dark? You don't like the dark hai na princess?" He spoke to her. He rolled his sleeves up walking back towards the bed. "Guess what, your bhaijaan have some wonderful news!" He stared at her hoping she would jump up and ask him what it was, he still hadn't lost hope that after these long three years, she would wake up and do the same one day. "I have found him" His eyes turned venomous, "I have found him. Your brother has promised you, I will destroy them both!" He sat on the bed brushing his hand over her forehead. "He doesn't deserve your love, he will pay for making you cry" A lone tear escaped her eyes. He wiped it off, "Hey princess, why are you crying? I know you're happy, I promise I will carry out my revenge... Let me just find her now..." He kissed her forehead stroking his thumb over her palm.

"Asad Asad" He heard her scream inside the house, he left the fire he was setting up for their little campfire and rushed inside the house.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Asad panted standing in front of her, his eyes searching for the thing that was making her scream. He looked at her properly to find her dressed in a white dress flowing right to the ground; her hair was tied back into a normal bun. Her make-up was neutral but she was glowing more than ever. He admired her head to toe before meeting her gleaming eyes.

"Nothing happened" She shrugged her shoulders in a cute way that was annoying as he couldn't shout at her for scaring him. He breathed out a sigh waiting for her to explain. She held up a guitar, "Look what I found... a guitar" She told him the obvious.

"And?"

"You're going to play it for our romantic campfire" She walked over towards him. "Please?" He nodded at her taking the guitar off her and wrapping his arm around her waist protectively walking her outside where he had set up the campfire. "This is so beautiful Asad" She leaned against his chest. He kissed her forehead making her sit down on the huge cushions he stole from the seating room. He settled opposite her.

"So what song does my beautiful wife want to request?" Asad whispered over the fire. Zoya grinned at him.

"The first song that you sang for me" She smiled. He looked at her confused, "It was for me okay. Zindagi ki yahi reet hai" Asad shook his head remembering the first time he played his guitar in front of her when they all gathered as a family.

"That's not romantic though" Asad told her. "And it was for you" He spoke sarcastically. She threw a piece of stick towards him.

"It is. I miss our family. This is the perfect song." Zoya sighed. "I have a lot of memories with this song, pleasant memories, not the ones where you always attacked me you know..."Zoya made eyes at him. He looked at her disbelievingly. He hit the strings, she fluttered her eyelashes.

"Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Haar ke baad hi jeet hai

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Haar ke baad hi jeet hai"

He looked up at her singing the first few lines of the song smiling. His fingers ran over the strings of the guitar playing the perfect harmony effortlessly. Zoya sat watching him intently, cupping her chin, her eyes glistening with tears of happiness. Asad pressed his eyes at her, Zoya's smile grew wider. She admired her husband, handsome gorgeous husband who looked even more breathtakingly attractive holding the guitar in his perfectly built arms. She noticed the grin playing on his lips as he held himself from laughing at her admiration session.

"Thode aansu hai, thodi hasi

Aaj Gham Hai To Kal Hai Khushi

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Haar ke baad hi jeet hai"

Zoya blinked her eyes at him playing her eyebrows as she mouthed the lyrics along with him.

"Zindagi hai safar aur basera bhi hai zindagi

Zindagi hai safar aur basera bhi hai zindagi"

Asad made faces as he sang, he smiled at the way Zoya shook side to side mirroring his expressions. He loved the way she scrunched up her nose, she couldn't have looked any more adorable. She missed their family, so did he. But these moments alone with her, he truly treasured. He could admire her every feature, her smile, every expression as they were for him and for him only. Asad carried on playing the guitar as images of their time from engagement to their nikaah flashed before his eyes, every moment spent with her has been a gift. He had forgotten about the snake incident, he had forgotten about his misery that lasted 24 hours on that bed. She was here in front of him, mirroring the same emotions as him, pouring out every bit of love she has for him through those brown orbs. Life couldn't have been any more perfect with her by his side.

"Zindagi raat bhi hai, savera bhi hai zindagi

Zindagi raat bhi hai, savera bhi hai zindagi

Zindagi hai safar aur basera bhi hai zindagi

Zindagi hai safar aur basera bhi hai zindagi"

He nodded towards the blanket folded next to her; she wrapped it around her slipping out of her sandals. Her eyes focused on him again.

"Ek pal dard ka daanv hai

Dusra sukh bhari chhaaon hai

Har naye pal naya geet hai

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai, zindagi ki yehi reet hai."

He watched her face flash with a mixture of emotions. After everything they have been through, they were still holding onto those words.

"Gham ka baadal jo chhaaye to hum muskuraate rahe

Gham ka baadal jo chhaaye to hum muskuraate rahe"

He watched her smile at him. Asad sighed with contentment returning her smile.

"Apni aankhon mein aashaaon ke deep jalaate rahe

Aaj bigde to kal phir bane

Aaj roothe to kal phir mane

Waqt bhi jaise ek meet hai

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Zindagi ki yehi reet hai

Haar ke baad hi jeet hai"

Asad closed his eyes humming along; Zoya got up and walked around the fire. She lifted his arm; he stopped playing and looked up at her. She smiled settling on his lap wrapping his arm over her. Asad placed her hand on the guitar planting kisses on her neck and cheek. She squirmed at first before being engrossed at the way he guiding her fingers on the strings. She tilted her head back and kissed his lips.

"I always had faith, that after all those dark nights, the bright morning would always come. Zindagi ka yahi reet hai" She sang hesitantly. Asad's eyes remained glued to her face admiring her every expression. "Our nikaah being the biggest gift, that was our victory. But we've won these battles because you were there beside me." She looked at him from the corner of her eyes.
"What are you looking at?"

"You" He whispered huskily into her ears.

"Why?" She asked biting her lips trying to play the strings on guitar but hand tightened over hers.

"Because I want to."

"Well don't or else I'll blush" She spoke softly.

"I love seeing you blush"

"And that doesn't always end well" She looked away.

"It ends beautifully" He kissed her shoulder. Zoya tried not to blush but her cheeks coloured itself to a deeper pink colour in seconds from his steamy kisses.
