I found this topic in Wikipedia while surfing net a long time ago. [Probably 6 months]. I thought I should research about it a little.

"Anarchism is a political philosophy or group of doctrines and attitudes centered on rejection of any form of compulsory government (cf. "state"[1]) and supporting its elimination.[2][3] The term "anarchism" is derived from the Greeka?a???a ("without archons" or "without rulers"). Thus "anarchism", in its most general meaning, is the belief that all forms of rulership (and thus also involuntary servitude) are undesirable and should be abolished." [Source:Wikipedia. Full link:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchism]

People supporting Anarchism believe that it is essentially a fight for human freedom. Modern states, even those which claim to be democracies, stifle their citizens with oppressive and artificial machinery such as laws and taxes. These are imposed by the people who run the state - the lites, the governing classes. Anarchists believe it is better to live without such controls imposed by such people. This does not mean they stand for complete chaos though; they support co-operation and barter between individuals as profitable. Only without controls can humans truly live naturally and freely.

Other side says that Anarchism is marked by exactly this sort of utopian, unrealistic argument - a diatribe based on the principle that the grass is always greener on the other side. It is majorly a rebellious position taken after seeing the supposed "failure" of democracy.

My question: Can anarchism run a system? Can people replace "Democracy"? Is goverment "controlling" responsible for everything bad/wrong/un-lawful in a state? How much power people possess in Anarchism..and how much power they have in current system of democracy?

Nice Topic👏MNMS ji!

The sole aim of any human in life is to have no control or have less control on it by others!!

This basic idea gave rise , give rises to and may give rise to several concepts which propose the concept of having less control!So this concepts and theories intially get encouragement! Depending on the nature and attitude of the person the concepts were developed!

For instance Henry David Thoreou said "That government is best which governs least";

and there were some concepts like Dadaism called as Dada in short whose basic idea is to oppose rule and norms of the society!

These all are not practical,so the systems like Anarchism arejust for discussion not for implementation😛! Democracy is the best form of government! We cannot blame democracy for the misdeeds that happen as a part of freedom in the democratic process!

Cheers,

Mythili
