Drones give an edge to action scenes in Salman Khan's Kick

Jul 21, 2014, 12.00AM IST TNN[ Eepsita Guha ]

Technicians setting up a drone for a scene for Kick
The stunning action shots of Kick are already being much talked about. But what many don't know is that several action sequences in the Salman Khan-starrer have been shot using drones.

Usually Hollywood films use drones, but the producers say that this is the first time an Indian film has used them for shooting.
While major portions of Kick have been shot in real-life locations, it was during the shooting of the action sequences in Poland that Sajid Nadiadwala's production team, along with the local team there, arranged for the drones.

Considering drones are rather expensive and need technical expertise, the filmmaker flew in a special team from Los Angeles to operate them. The sequence was then shot using multiple drones, so that one could get different shots from each angle.
Be it production or promotions, clearly Sajid is sparing no expense towards his directorial debut.

Wow, that drone thing is pretty cool. I'm liking the fact that the production value is high - means full on, stylish entertainer coming our way. 🥳
