Chapter 12: Our Sangeet Ceremony

Next Day, Evening time

"Ahh" Winched Navya in pain "Kya kar rahi hai Appy, sambhal ke"

Navya complained Appy as she poked the safety pin on her waist while tucking the dupatta of her green-cream colored lehenga choli.She was looking stunning in that dress as she had curled up her hair from the bottom and worn a red-colored kundan set.

"Sorry Navya, galti se ho gaya"said Appy looking up at her and then again continuing with her work.

"Chalo ho gaya" Appy heaved a sigh of relief as she tucked the dupatta properly and stood up.

"Vaise Navya,teri mehendi toh kaafi dark rachi hai"Winked Rits at Navya as she made her wore the bangles.

"Lagta hai Anant tujhse kuch zyada hi pyaar karta hai"whispered Appy to make it audible only to both of them.They both giggled naughtily while Navya smiled shyly.

"Arae Navya tu tyaar hui ki nahi?"Asked Meeta coming inside.

She stood at her place as Rits and Appy made their way in either sides of Navya to give Meeta a proper look at her daughter.

Meeta's eyes welled up a bit.She went towards Navya and puts kajal behind her ear.

"Bohut sundar lag rahi hai beta,bhagwan kare tujhe kisiki nazar na lage"

Navya hugged Meeta back with a teary smile.

"Kal teri shaadi ho jayegi aur phir tu hum sab se dur chali jayegi,ye sochkar na meri aakho mei abhi se aansu aa rahe hai"said Meeta as she broke the hug and wiped her tears.

"Par mai janti hu" Meeta continued "Mohan ek bohut acha ladka hai,vo tera bohut ache se khyaal rakhega,tujhe humari yaad ane bhi nahi dega"

Rits and Appy made a face as they heard the name of Mohan from Meeta's mouth while Navya just nodded her head.

"Acha chal abb jaldi se neeche aa jaa,hum sab wait kar rahe hai"said Meeta and proceed to go just then Appy stopped her.

"Rukiye aunty ji, Navya aap se kuch kehena chahti hai" said Appy as she found this the right time for Navya to disclose about Anant.

"Haan bol Navya"said Meeta coming towards her.

Navya looked at Appy and signaled with her eyes a NO.

"Umm nahi Maa,kuch important nahi hai,aap jayiye hum log abhi aate hai"

Meeta nodded and left the room.

"Navya,tu pagal hogayi hai kya"Rits held her arm in anger "Appy ne kitna acha mauka dhunda tha ki tu aunty ji se sab sach keh sake par tu hai ki.."

"Guys mai janti hu ki tumlog se meri ye halat aur nahi dekhi jaa rahi par Anant ne mujhse kaha hai ki vo sab kuch sambhal lega,vo ye shaadi kabhi nahi hone dega aur mujhe uspe poora bharosa hai" replied Navya trying to make them understand her view point.

Rits and Appy nodded at her.

Bajpai Mansion

The whole Bajpai mansion was beautifully decorated with lights.The hall room was decorated with flowers of different patterns.The ladies were sitting at one side while the gents at the opposite side.

Navya was sitting along with Rits and Appy while a pair of eyes from the gents side were constantly gazing at her.She was blushing as she knew his intense gaze fixed upon her.It was Anant sitting beside Mohan,wearing a cream-brown colored sherwani,looking very handsome.

Nimmi went in the middle with a mike.

"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Mohan bhai aur Navya bhabhi ke sangeet ceremony mei aap sabka swaagat hai.Toh chaliye aaj iss shaam ki shuruat karte hai. Sabse pehle dance karenge Mr. and Mrs. Om Bajpai aur unka saath denge Mr. and Mrs. Deepak Mishra. So give a big round of applause for them.Everyone clapped to welcome them.

They performed on the song.

"Ae meri Zohar jabi, tujhe maalum nahi aur mai jawaan..

Tujpe kurban meri jaan,meri jaan..."

Everyone clapped and cheered for them as they complete their dance.

"Okay so next aa rahi hai,humari teen nautakiyan"giggled Anant as he announced followed by the others.

"Bhaii..."Nimmi shouted from her seat make them all laugh aloud.

"Oops sorry,okay so humari pyaari teen nautakiyan,Rits,Appy aur Nimmi. So give a big round of applause for them.

Rits,Appy and Nimmi performed on the song "Radha on the dance floor" from the movie SOTY. They gathered a lot of applauds and praises as they ended their performance.

"Okay so ab aakhiri mei its time for the limelights of today's evening to perform, Mohan bhai and Navya bhabhi"announced Nimmi looking a bit guilty at Navya and then at Anant as she had no option left but to announce as this performance was the idea of Bajpais and Mishras together without the knowledge of Anant,Navya,Rits and Appy.

Navya looked nervously at Mohan, who had no particular expression on his face while the rest cheered for them.Anant looked really disheartened.After a lot of pleadings Navya went in the middle along with Mohan to dance.

The song begin.It was " kaisa ye ishq hai,ajab sa risk hai" from the movie MBKD.

Anant looked really jealous as Mohan kept a hand on Navya's waist while he held her another hand.On the other side Navya looked very uncomfortable.The song ended and Navya heaved a sigh of relief.Everyone cheered for them.

"Chaliye ab sab khana khane chalte hai"said Om and they all went to the lawn area except Navya. She stood there worried to find Anant but she could see him nowhere after her performance with Mohan has ended.

"Ye Anant ab kaha chala gaya" Thought Navya.

"Navya bhabhi" came Nimmi "Aap terrace pe jayiye,bhai aapka waha wait kar rahe hai"

"Par Nimisha,agar yaha kisine mere bare mei..."Navya tried to ask.

"Aap uski fikar mat kijiye,mai yaha sab sambhal lungi"smiled Nimmi assuring her.

Navya nodded and went upstairs.

She opened the door of the terrace and was surprised to see the terrace glittering with lights.Suddenly a balloon busted and rose petals fell upon her.She raised her hands and twirled around to feel them.She stopped as she now wanted to meet the one who did this all for her.

"Anant" Navya called and walked ahead.

"Anant tum kaha ho?" Navya called again just then she felt two strong pair of arms on her waist, holding her tightly.She closed her eyes as she knew who it was and slowly whispered "Anant.."

"Hmm" whispered back Anant as he kept his chin on her shoulder.

"Aaj koi kuch zyada hi khoobsurat lag raha hai"said Anant huskily as he tightened his grip.

"Acha, aur vo koi kaun hai?"Asked Navya with a naughty smile.She decided to play along with him.

Anant swiftly turned her towards him and pulled her closer.

"Acha, tumhe nahi pata vo kaun hai?"Asked Anant huskily as he tilted his head to kiss her. "Nahi.."Navya whispered with a shy smile and pushed him a bit as she tried to run away but Anant held her hand. His hand got interlock with hers.

"Dance with me"whispered Anant in her ears as he bent towards hers.

Navya turned her face towards him.Their faces were inches apart.

"Yaha?" Navya asked innocently.

"Haan yaha, ab hum humari sangeet ceremony celebrate karenge"said Anant gazing at her with a smirk.

Navya smiled back at him.

Jise zindagi dhoondh rahi hai
Kya ye woh makaam mera hai

Anant held her one hand while the the other hand rested on her waist. Navya kept her one hand on his shoulder while held his other hand

Yahaan chain se bas ruk jaaun
Kyun dil ye mujhe kehta hai

Anant took 2 steps sideways while Navya followed his steps

Jazbaat naye se mile hain
Jaane kya asar ye huaa hai

Anant moved her a bit away from him and moved closer from the back.

Ik aas mili phir mujhko
Jo qubool kisi ne kiya hai

He open her arms in the air and enveloped her in a hugging position

Haan..
Kisi shaayar ki ghazal
Jo de rooh ko sukoon ke pal
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjaare ko ghar

He turned her towards himself and twirled her 2 times

Naye mausam ki sehar
Yaa sard mein dopahar
Koi mujhko yun mila hai
Jaise banjare ko ghar

Anant moved her closer to him as she hugged him and they danced in rhythm.😳
